Hogwarts's Master of Mind

Chapter 420: Outbreak, Ron's Departure

Then, the three heard some unimportant news from people outside, such as that some wizards had begun to believe the Death Eaters' statements under the cover of the media and began to waver in their trust in Harry.

Fortunately, Harry didn't care about these things, but when he heard the Quibbler still supporting him, he still felt a warm current in his heart.

Hermione combined the description of the sword she had just heard from the goblin and stood up as if she had thought of something.

"Merlin, I get it." Hermione ran to the table in the living room, looked through the letters on it, and finally found Dumbledore's will from the pile of papers.

"Sword, Dumbledore would not leave the sword to us for no reason!" Hermione was very excited, "Harry, do you remember that you once used the sword to destroy the Horcrux?"

"Yes, we were fighting the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. The sword scratched it and was stained with its blood, and at the same time absorbed its venom." Harry's eyes brightened. The days of confusion were finally over, and he saw the direction to move forward.

"You're a genius." Harry praised

"Think about it," Hermione whispered, "where would Dumbledore hide the sword?"

"Hogwarts, no, maybe Hogsmeade." Harry and Hermione guessed excitedly.

"Maybe in the Shrieking Shack, we can use Aiden's book to explore their perspective and avoid the Death Eaters," Hermione said.

"Good idea." Harry turned around and looked at Ron. "Will he hide the sword away from Hogsmeade? What do you think, Ron, Ron?"

Harry turned around and didn't get Ron's response, so he thought he had left, but when he looked up, he found Ron lying in the shadow corner of the upper bunk, like a stone.

"Remember me." Ron's voice came out from his nose.

"What?" Harry wondered.

"Keep chatting about your things and don't let me ruin your fun." Ron snorted and stared at the tarpaulin on the ceiling.

"Ron, if you have any dissatisfaction, you can tell us." Harry felt that something was wrong with Ron and began to comfort him.

"Okay, then I'll get it off my chest. Don't expect me to jump around in the tent. Isn't this just one more damn thing to find? How about just adding it to your unknown list?" Ron sat up excitedly and jumped off the bed.

"I don't know." Harry lowered his head, "But isn't this a hope?"

At this moment, lightning flashed outside the house, and cold rain began to fall, hitting the tarpaulin of the tent, making a puffing sound, and also bringing a somewhat solemn atmosphere into the tent.

Ron began to complain as if he had given up on himself. "This has been a terrible time. My arm is broken, I have nothing to eat, and I'm half frozen to death every night. You know, I just hope that after all this running around, I can at least achieve some results."

"So, is there any part in which you think you have to work hard to achieve results?" Harry counterattacked bluntly.

"We're on vacation in a five-star hotel, harvesting a Horcrux every other day, and returning to our mother's arms around Christmas?"

"I thought you knew what you were doing." Ron glared at Harry, and his next words stabbed Harry's heart like a hot knife.

"I thought Dumbledore told you something. And Aiden, hiding in that white place for your own safety, totally ignoring the lives of your family, and you didn't even want to tell me a real plan!"

"Okay, I'm sorry to disappoint you." Harry calmed down. The emptiness in his heart made him not want to argue anymore. He... was a little tired.

"I told you the truth from the beginning. I told you everything that Dumbledore and Aiden gave me, and that I found the Horcrux. Aiden even went deep..."

Boom——!

A loud thunderclap interrupted Harry's next words and made him calm down a little.

"Yeah, we've found one. It's easy to destroy it, just like finding the other Horcruxes." Ron didn't stop speaking, but instead started speaking beautiful English.

"And Aiden, why doesn't he just destroy this thing? Oh, I see. He is Prewett, a pure-blood Prewett. Voldemort's rule is beneficial to him, isn't it?"

"Take it off." Hermione realized that Ron was affected by the Horcrux and reached out to grab the gem around his neck.

"Take it off. You wouldn't normally say something like that."

But Ron pushed Hermione away, and Harry supported Hermione who was pushed over by him, anger clouding his mind.

"No, isn't this what he was thinking? Do you think I didn't notice your slander behind his back? This is just Ron speaking out his inner thoughts."

"Harry, we didn't--!" Hermione, who was supported by Harry, wanted to explain. She struggled to stand up and stood between her two friends.

"Don't lie, Hermione!" Ron shouted at her. "You said you were disappointed, too. You thought Harry had more clues, or that Aiden had given him something -"

"I didn't say that - Harry, I didn't." Tears welled up in Hermione's eyes.

At this point, Harry asked Ron, "Why are you still here? Go home."

"Yeah, maybe I should go back." Ron approached Harry, and Harry looked straight at him.

"Didn't you just hear what Phineas said about Ginny? The great hero Harry Potter doesn't care about him at all. You must be thinking, I've been through everything - you don't care about anything around you."

"Why shouldn't I care? Isn't it reassuring to hear that Ginny can be with Hagrid and the other friends? Anyone who wants to hurt them must first step over Hagrid's body." Harry retorted, blushing.

But Ron was already certain that Harry didn't care about anything, and no matter how Hermione tried to help them sort out their logic, he just wouldn't listen.

"Anyway, your parents are in a safe place, you won't care about these things."

Ron's words stung Harry, "My parents are dead!"

"My parents could suffer the same fate!" Ron shouted.

"Then you should go back, back to your home, and pretend to have spatter pox, and your mommy will feed you well."

Harry's emotions were almost out of control. When he thought about the fact that he was the last Horcrux to be destroyed, he couldn't control himself and said hurtful words.

Ron wanted to take action after hearing this, so he took out his wand and pointed it at Harry, and Harry was quick to take out his wand as well.

At the critical moment, Hermione separated the two with a silent armor spell, preventing the conflict from breaking out. The three of them were shocked back by the power of the spell, and through the transparent barrier, it was as if they were getting to know each other for the first time.

Harry asked Ron to take off the Horcrux, but Ron simply broke the rope and dropped the gem on Harry.
