Reborn Daughter: The Young Lady Wants to Make a Trouble

Xueyue didn't know how long she had been trapped in the dark world. Wherever she looked, it was all dark and boring.

Occasionally, she would feel something touch her lips and run down her throat. She heard some muffled voice in the background, but when she followed it, the voice suddenly stopped talking.

After walking in the darkness for a long time, Xueyue finally saw the light at the end of the long road. Her legs were as fast as the wind and she ran towards the light. She was very happy to see something different from the boring black world.

When Xueyue put her hand into the light, she suddenly felt that the light avoided her sight. Xueyue closed her eyes painfully, and after a few seconds, she slowly opened them.

Her vision was extremely blurry and her head began to ache. Xueyue turned her head to the left and then to the right in confusion.

'Where am I? ' she asked herself.

Xueyue noticed that she was lying on a soft and plush bed. She was covered with a thick blanket and looked like she was tucked into the bed.

Xueyue frowned. She tried to sit up from the bed, but screamed in pain. She looked down at her arm and saw that it was still bandaged, and her eyes widened. Her left arm was sore, but not to the point of being unbearable.

Slowly, Xueyue was able to sit up in bed. She noticed a bowl of water next to the bedside table.

Xueyue took the large bowl of water with a trembling hand. Because the bowl was placed on the table a few inches away from Xueyue, she did not see the towel floating in the bowl.

"Ouch!" Xueyue almost fell off the bed and screamed. The bowl was too far away for her to reach.

The sudden sound in the cold and empty room was enough to startle the guards outside. The guards exchanged nervous glances with each other. Was it their imagination? Did they really hear any sound in the room?

"Do you think it's a ghost?" a nervous young soldier whispered. He stayed up late last night reading horror novels and was terrified at the thought of encountering a ghost.

The older guard rolled his eyes and slapped the younger boy on the back of the head. "Of course not, you idiot!" the older guard hissed at him.

“S-Sir, could you help me check—” Before the young guard could finish his words, the older man walked into the room.

Seeing this scene, his throat suddenly went dry. Sitting on the bed was a child who was no more than thirteen years old.

He was just a guard, and although he was of a high rank, he had never seen anyone in the room. His job was to protect and guard the gate, and he did it. Although he was fascinated by the woman in front of him, his junior certainly would not.

The young guard's face turned pale. II. This is a ghost!

The young guard's first thought when he saw her long, messy, silky hair was the image depicted in the horror novel he was reading.

When the older guard sees an innocent child looking for water, he sees the ghost of a child.

The girl had a bandage on her head, her hair covering half of her face, and she was wearing her iconic white pajamas. The cold moonlight shone on her, and the young guard thought he had encountered an evil spirit.

When the child looked up at the sound of the door opening, the young guard felt his heart sink to his stomach. Oh my, the ghost, the ghost actually moved!

"Hello, hello...?" Xueyue's throat had become extremely hoarse after not drinking water for several days.

When the young guard heard this voice, he felt his body stiffen. Oh my god, even her voice sounded scary! "Woo, woo, I'm too young to die!" The young guard wailed in his heart.

The older guard looked down at his junior and knocked him on the head again. "You idiot! Fix your overly imaginative brain!" the older guard hissed at him.

"Because you don't dare to stand here anymore, go and call the servants! Tell them that the girl has woken up--" Before the older guard could finish his words, the younger guard had already rushed into the hall.

The older guard stared at the younger one's retreating figure. Of all the guards hired by Master Li, all he had to do was pick the weakest one!

The older guard grumbled. It seems that the goddess of luck is not on his side...

"Uh...uh..." Xueyue's hesitant and confused voice caught the attention of the guard.

His eyes widened, and he immediately knelt in front of the girl. He didn't know her identity, but seeing that Eunuch Li's wife always came to visit her, he knew she was an important person.

She frowned at the sound of her own voice, which sounded so foreign to her that her body was so dry and broken from days of dehydration.

"Where am I?" Xueyue whispered again. Talking put a lot of pressure on her throat, and she knew it was unwise to raise her voice instead of whispering.

She prayed the guard could hear her. He was wearing a heavy metal helmet, and she thought it might be difficult for him to hear.

"To answer your question, you are currently living in the residence of Lord Li and Princess Li." The guard responded immediately. He slowly stood up from his kneeling position, and when he raised his head, his eyes were wide open.

Taking a closer look, he found that she was surprisingly familiar. "Ms. Ming-Minghua?" He took a breath in shock.

Xueyue tilted her head in confusion. Miss Minghua? Who is that?

The guard blinked and rubbed his eyes. When he fixed it, he almost cursed loudly. He thought he saw Minghua, but when he looked again, it was not her.

'She's dead,' he repeated to himself.

"That's right...she's dead and buried seven feet underground," he thought.

Xueyue opened her mouth and wanted to ask another question, but suddenly, her eyes widened and she realized: she was in the house of the famous Mr. and Mrs. Li!
