Reborn Daughter: The Young Lady Wants to Make a Trouble

Li Xueyue woke up, feeling dissatisfied and confused. She had a strange nightmare yesterday. A vague man figure appeared from the Bai family and walked towards her.

The man held a sword and stabbed her family directly. This feeling was too strange for her to describe. Li Xueyue was shocked by this brutal murder, but she also felt a sense of relief. It was difficult to accurately describe her specific emotions.

Sighing secretly, Li Xueyue tried to push away the hair stuck to her face, but her other hand was held down by an unusual pressure.

Li Xueyue immediately sat up and found herself lying down. She turned pale and saw clearly what was pressing down on her arm. Yu Zhen fell asleep holding her hand. He was sitting with half of his body lying on the bed and his legs resting on the chair.

Li Xueyue pursed her lips.

“Why did you do this?” she huffed. He should have left her in the chair. Now he woke up with a stiff neck and it was all her fault.

Only then did Li Xueyue realize how different her sleeping face looked. To her surprise, everything looked calm and normal.

Suddenly, his brows furrowed, as if he had had a nightmare. Unconsciously, she reached out and touched his hair, stroking it. His tense shoulders relaxed under her touch.

Li Xueyue tried to pull her hand away from his tight grip. It was almost impossible, but she managed to get out of it. She breathed a sigh of relief and shook her already numb hand vigorously, and found that her hand had lost blood circulation because of his tight grip.

"Idiot." She muttered, climbing out of bed. "You should be sleeping in bed."

Li Xueyue started to approach the tent door, but stopped halfway. Her conscience would not allow her to leave. In a fit of anger, she walked to the bed, picked up the blanket, and draped it over his shoulders.

Li Xueyue hated the way she adjusted to keep him warm and comfortable. Li Xueyue hated her hands smoothing out the wrinkles between his brows. She hoped her hands would stop combing his hair until he was less nervous.

Li Xueyue hated that she still cared about him so much. Likewise, he felt the same way.

Slipping out of the tent, Li Xueyue knew that nothing would ever be the same again.

When Xiaojuzi heard the footsteps disappearing outside the tent, he raised his head. He looked around lazily and smelled the faint scent of his master, but found that it was not him. He stood up and started to trot after the woman.

Li Xueyue swallowed her saliva when she found the tiger following her. He didn't look like a threat. But he was a wild animal after all, so she had to be vigilant.

"Why are you following me?" Li Xueyue hissed. She began to walk into the forest, and Xiaojuzi continued to follow her. He looked at her like a predator staring at its prey.

"Did your master tell you to do this?" she asked, disappearing deep into the forest. She wanted to steal a horse and ride back to the Lee Palace as quickly as possible.

Suddenly, the tiger jumped in front of her. He bared his fangs, covered his ears, and roared. It was as if he knew what she was going to do.

Li Xueyue paused. She couldn't get around the tiger. He was now blocking her way. "Your master definitely told you to do this," she concluded, frowning. "Be a good girl and stay out of my way."

Little Orange growled and lowered his front legs. He would not tolerate her attempt to escape.

Li Xueyue pursed her lips. Her fingers couldn't stop shaking. Perhaps Xiaojuzi sensed her fear, and took a threatening step forward, urging her to return to the camp.

"You are so annoying. Like father, like son." Li Xueyue said.

The little orange boy slowly approached her, his large, rough teeth fully exposed.

"Okay, okay, I'll go back..." Li Xueyue's voice became smaller and smaller, worried about her own safety. In a rage, she began to walk towards the camp.

Little Orange gloated behind her, raising his paw a little higher than usual. It was obvious that he was very happy that she was doing so well.

Yu Zhen was awakened by the sound of soldiers preparing breakfast. He closed his eyes and groped around the bed, searching for her hand. When he felt only the coldness of the mattress, he opened his eyes sharply.

Where has she gone?

Yu Zhen had never been so panicked. He ran out of the tent, his clothes disheveled, wearing yesterday's clothes. Xiaojuzi was gone, and she was gone too.

A dark cloud covered his deep features. He curled his lips, rushed to his men, and decided to conduct a large-scale search for her. Who dared to kidnap her from her own tent? Did she leave voluntarily?

Yu Zhen couldn't accept the latter. He didn't believe she would run away from him again.

"Zhenzhen, you got up later than usual~" Hu Dengxiao happily jumped to the side of the grumpy commander.

"Send a hundred soldiers to look for Li Xueyue. The people who captured her must not have gone far."

Hu Dengxiao sulked. First thing in the morning, his commander had already made a request. Where was the good morning pat?

Lu Tianbi looked at Hu Dengxiao's lost expression and sighed. She patted his head roughly. "Go prepare the food."

Yu Zhen's face turned grim. "Go send the soldiers out."

Lu Tianbi shook her head. "She must have left of her own accord. It's best to leave her alone."

Yu Zhen took a threatening step forward, deadly and ruthless. "Go. Send. The soldiers."

Lu Tianbi should have been offended by his order, but she was used to his unpredictable temper. She felt stupid for thinking that Li Xueyue had changed him.

Lu Tianbi turned to Hu Dengxiao helplessly. "You heard his voice."

Hu Dengxiao fiddled with the pot nervously. He was almost ready to cook. He thought the role could be given to another unlucky soldier, but no one could cook better than him... What should he do?

Just then, Lu Tianbi noticed something in the distance. Her petite figure stood out against the tall bodies of the soldiers. "Commander, that's not her—"

Before she finished her words, Yu Zhen turned around immediately. It was as if hope flooded him again. His cold exterior melted when he saw her.

Lu Tianbi recognized that infatuated expression. "Commander, please don't--"

It's too late.

Yu Zhen was already walking towards her, and with big strides he arrived in front of her effortlessly.

"I guess it's a lover's quarrel." Hu Dengxiao snorted. He sat down again and started preparing the ingredients for breakfast.

"There will be no good outcome for either of us. Fire and ice will definitely lose." Lu Tianbi whispered as he watched Yu Zhen walk towards him eagerly. It was as if his life depended on her recovery.

"Oh my god, he got rejected." Hu Dengxiao sighed and began to grease the pan. "So sad. This reminds me of someone I knew," he muttered the last word because it described him.

Lu Tianbi didn't understand. "She knows how to control him."

Lu Tianbi stared at the couple. Li Xueyue looked unhappy, most likely asking to go home. Yu Zhen didn't care. He suddenly put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, but she pushed him away angrily. He was angry at her behavior and pinched her chin. She slapped his hand away again, her eyes wide open.

"She is very bold, so I gave her this," Hu Dengxiao commented.

"Of course, she is very bold." Lu Tianbi sighed. "Otherwise Yu Zhen would be bored."

"Well, I hope her fire doesn't burn her," Hu Dengxiao said. "It would hurt her more than it would hurt him."

"She's already in a lot of pain," Lu Tianbi said. "I just hope they don't burn each other to ashes."

"From the looks of it, they already are."
