Yu Zhen wondered if she had a special ability that could put her in danger. He closed the distance between them and roughly grabbed her elbow. She looked up at him, surprised by his rude behavior.

"Little Orange, come down." Yu Zhen ordered.

The little orange boy tilted his head, his golden eyes flickering from the interesting prey to his owner. He wagged his tail, his eyes no longer narrow. He pricked up his ears and approached them.

"Little Orange." Yu Zhen warned.

The little orange one takes his sweet time, parading towards his owner.

When he was only a few feet away, Li Xueyue, frightened by the big animal, grabbed Yu Zhen's arm. Was this scary tiger really his? How come she had never heard of it before?

Li Xueyue remembered seeing this animal when she and Li Wenmin went hunting together. Did this mean that Yu Zhen had been in the capital earlier this week?

Suddenly, Li Xueyue remembered the tiger's fangs and claws, tearing the flesh of its prey effortlessly and watching them through narrowed eyes.

“It likes to bite people.”

Li Xueyue suddenly looked up at Yu Zhen. Her eyes widened with fear and her skin turned pale. She seemed to have heard the date of her execution.

Yu Zhen found her stiff expression humorous. He wanted to laugh but resisted the urge to laugh because it would give her the satisfaction that her charm was working on him again.

The giant tiger stopped just above Yu Zhen's knees. He circled his master and taunted his prey. Little Orange opened his mouth.

Li Xueyue was completely horrified. Her whole life flashed before her eyes. Shamelessly and brazenly, she entangled Yu Zhen again.

Li Xueyue thought that Xiaojuzi opened his mouth to indicate that he wanted to eat, but the damn tiger just yawned and stuck out his tongue lazily.

"You should have hugged me earlier." Yu Zhen said sternly.

"As if you have the right to talk about clinging to someone, you pervert!" she said.

Yu Zhen narrowed his eyes. Pervert? Did she think so of him?

Little Orange sensed his master's irritation. He purred softly and rubbed his body against Yu Zhen's legs, seeking hospitality and adoration.

An evil plan came to mind. Yu Zhen reached out and patted Little Orange's head lovingly. He curled his fingers and grasped the beast's chin. Little Orange was familiar with only one hand and his touch; he was the one who had raised him since he was found in the forest as an abandoned cub.

Little Orange rubbed his head against Master's touch. When Master extended his hand for him to rest his head on, Little Orange immediately seized the opportunity. Happily, he received all the affectionate touch he had always craved.

"I think it's quite cute when I look at it from a close distance." Li Xueyue said.

"It's cuter when it bites."

"I hope he bites the hand that feeds him."

Yu Zhen’s eyes fell on her fiercely. Didn’t she have a filter? Even his guards dragged their shoes anxiously, wondering whether they should arrest her. They had never seen anyone as arrogant as her. No one spoke to the second prince like this.

"Li Xueyue, you need to expand your vocabulary." Yu Zhen sneered. "There are many books in your library. You should try to read one."

Only, he was assaulted by her intoxicating scent. She smelled just as sweet as he remembered. Whether it was the smell of her body or something from her bath, he didn't know. He just wanted more. He remembered where his favorite place was.

Yu Zhen smiled evilly. She stood beside him as stiff as a tree. Suddenly, he grabbed her fingers.

"What are you doing?" she asked in a trembling voice.

Li Xueyue thought he would place a gentle kiss on her fingertips, as he always did. But that was asking too much.

Instead, she smoothly placed her finger near Xiaojuzi's nose. Li Xueyue was shocked. She struggled against Yu Zhen's tight grip. "Stop, don't do this--!"

The little orange sniffed his finger. She smelled like his master. He licked her finger.

She almost fainted.

Her knees weakened, but Yu Zhen effortlessly held her waist. "Be careful," he said.

Li Xueyue's breathing was rapid and panicked. She was distracted by the tiger's gaze and didn't realize how intimate their position was. Yu Zhen had a protective arm around her. She was pressed against him. His lips brushed the top of her head. With just one movement, he would kiss her temple.

"I hate you." Li Xueyue's fingers trembled and she sobbed. Yu Zhen made a fist for her. He slowly withdrew his hand, and she immediately grabbed his robe.

"The feelings are mutual." Yu Zhen muttered.

She trembled in his arms, and he just wanted to hug her. How could he not? She finally showed her gentle side in front of him.

What’s so scary about a damn tiger? Yu Zhen grew up with Xiaojuzi and knew that tigers don’t bite people. He just wanted to provoke her. Who could have thought that his plan would be so successful?

Yu Zhen made eye contact with his confused pet. Little Orange pricked up his ears, indicating that he was in a good mood. Yu Zhen chuckled and patted the tiger's head affectionately. It was just a big cat, nothing more. Little Orange licked his master's hand and rested his head on Yu Zhen's lap.

"How long are you going to hold me?"

Hearing his question, Li Xueyue's body stiffened. She pulled her head back. She finally realized how reckless her behavior was.

Li Xueyue tried to pull away from him, but he wouldn't let her. With just one arm, she pressed her body against his. His grip was like iron, unbreakable. "Then let me go."
