"Don't move," Li Wenmin ordered, his eyes focused on the striped beast. What on earth was a tiger doing here? In the middle of Wuyi?

This was actually impossible. The last time he checked, no tiger had been found in Wuyi. The only place it could be found was in Hanjian. He had heard many stories about soldiers being injured during training in the Hanjiang Forest.

The tiger roared louder and bared its fangs and claws at her.

The tiger sniffed the air. He took a step toward the lifeless rabbit. This time, he looked at them again.

Hearing him bite the rabbit directly, Li Xueyue closed her eyes tightly.

Li Wenmin watched the tiger begin to bite the rabbit. Then he stopped. There came that faint whistle again.

This time, the tiger was not wrong. He picked up the rabbit, took a last look at it, and then rushed into the forest and disappeared in the direction where the rabbit came from.

Li Wenmin breathed a sigh of relief. He placed a hand on his chest and rubbed it. The stress had shortened his life by at least ten years.

"What is this?" He hissed. "Anyway, we should go back now."

Li Xueyue nodded immediately. "We have to report to Dad. This forest is very close to the capital. If people from the town come here to collect herbs and a tiger appears, it will be bad."

"I'll notify Dad right away. It's so strange to see tigers here. They're not native to this country." Li Wenmin frowned and urged, "Let's go. Now."

When the two returned home, the Duke and Li Chenyang had already returned home.
