Lu Tianbi silently observed the commander, while Hu Dengxiao chewed his nails anxiously. "Commander, what should we do?"

Yu Zhen couldn't take his eyes off Li Xueyue, who had left the pavilion and was curiously smelling the flowers. When she liked a certain smell, her eyes would open wider and she would nod in approval. When she didn't like a flower, her whole face would wrinkle, starting from her nose.

"I'll give him an answer today," Yu Zhen said. He finally turned his attention to his comrades.

Lu Tianbi nodded in agreement. "Are we going back to Hanjian?"

"Not yet. What we have to worry about is the candidate," Yu Zhen said. All three of them knew that he didn't care about the treaty at all. He didn't care about the candidate in the first place. He only cared about a woman.

Hu Dengxiao finally stopped biting his nails. He didn't realize he had done it until Lu Tianbi patted his hands and forced them to his side. She didn't like his habit, but he couldn't do anything about it.

"We talked to Princess Yu Xiyan a few days ago," Hu Dengxiao said. "She despises Wen Jinkai and is afraid of him, so accepting the new proposal is no big deal, but the biggest problem is..." He lowered his voice.

Yu Zhen nodded and left. Lu Tianbi and Hu Dengxiao watched him disappear, not knowing where he was going. They thought he would leave the garden, but found that he was walking deeper into the garden.

After the commander left, Hu Dengxiao was the first to speak up. "He was fascinated by her," he pointed out.

"Well, that's not surprising, is it? She's very pleasant to the eye." Lu Tianbi shrugged.

"Compared with most girls, she is different in the sense that she is inferior in appearance." Hu Dengxiao pinched his chin, wondering what on earth was it about Li Xueyue that caught the commander's attention.

“If she decides to fall in love with our commander, it will be difficult for her.” Lu Tianbi sighed helplessly.

“Yes.” Hu Dengxiao frowned slightly. “She will have to leave her family behind. The journey back and forth to visit them will be very arduous.”

He turned to Lu Tianbi and wanted to make a joke. "Unless, you know, something terrible happened and she had to flee Wuyi."

"But I think they will exercise some restraint. They know how valuable they are to the country," Hu Dengxiao said.

"Well, I hope they'll remember this next time they talk," Lu Tianbi muttered, "or we'll have another war." She shuddered at the thought. If a fight broke out between the top boxers of the two countries, neither country would sit idly by.

Yu Zhen tried his best to find Li Xueyue. He was walking in the direction she was walking, but when he arrived, she was nowhere to be seen. This garden was larger than expected, and the deeper you went, the denser the trees and flowers became. In such a secluded place as the palace, it was a miracle that this place could prosper.

"This is a bad sign. You should let go." Yu Zhen frowned and moved closer to her.

"But it's very beautiful." Li Xueyue said sullenly, taking a step back while continuing to walk towards her.

"It's a symbol of misfortune and foreshadows death. Get rid of it." Yu Zhen snorted and moved closer to her. She continued to walk backwards and finally tripped.

Her eyes widened as she reached out to grab at the air, only to find that she had made a foolish mistake. Yu Zhen rushed to hug her before she fell, but caught her hand at the last moment. Finally, they fell into a bush of flowers, which collapsed downwards, forcing their bodies closer together.

Li Xueyue held her breath, unable to comprehend the distance between them. She could feel the itching sensation of the petals hitting her face, but the only thing she could focus on was him.

Yu Zhen fell on top of her, but he was careful not to hurt her, his hands on either side of her, his weight destroying the plants beneath his palms. Although surrounded by all kinds of flowers, the only thing he could focus on was her scent - sweet and alluring.

She let her guard down, and her parted lips only served to further arouse him.
