Chapter 23 Dark Lord Teaching
Damn Quirrell!!!
Well, Alicia admitted that the person she mainly wanted to scold was not Quirrell.
It is early morning now, and the girl, who has cast an Invisibility Spell, walks lightly in the dark library.
Over the past month, she thought she had been severely tortured by the Dark Lord, who always taught her a new spell - a spell belonging to the dark magic - after breaking down her psychological defenses time and time again.
At first, Alicia was in great pain. The physical and mental pressure caused her to want to make the truth public at all costs, but she endured it.
Because she truly felt that her strength had greatly increased.
What a wonderful taste that is!
The Dark Lord's purpose is definitely not simple, but so what?
The resentment and anger she felt were released along with the curse, and the feeling of destruction and control made her feel extremely refreshed.
The girl's struggle, hesitation, desire and obsession were all within Voldemort's expectations, and her changes were obvious.
Draco and others just felt that Alicia's temper was a little unpredictable recently, but Snape clearly discovered that something was wrong with her.
He once brought his goddaughter, who had just returned from Quirrell's office, to the astronomy tower. That night, the white snow and the stars echoed in the distance, embellishing the night sky in perfect harmony.
The cold wind blew, but the girl didn't feel how cold she was, as Snape's warming spell had already enveloped her.
"Thea, Quirrell is dangerous."
These were the first words Snape uttered.
The slightly crazy emotions hidden in Alicia's heart gradually calmed down after she said this.
She raised her head with just the right amount of innocence on her face: "Don't worry, Severus, if anything happens, I will tell you the first time."
This was not what Snape wanted to hear, but he couldn't use Legilimency on his goddaughter.
He turned around, took out a compass from the girl, and motioned her to inject his magic power into it: "If anything happens, it will lead me to you in the first place."
*
Alicia came back to her senses and continued to move forward cautiously. The reason why she appeared here in the middle of the night was entirely because of "Qiluo's" order.
The man asked her to find the secret of the Resurrection Stone within three days. The girl looked through all the books about magic items and magic legends, but couldn't find the answer she wanted.
Only the restricted books section is left.
"Qirro" would not approve her borrowing note, and she couldn't run to her godfather and tell him that she was going to the restricted area.
Night tour seems to be the only option.
She seriously suspected that this was Quirrell's intention in assigning her the task, and also the reason why Quirrell taught her the Disillusionment Charm.
The girl officially entered the restricted area only after making sure that Filch and his cat were not nearby.
To be honest, a gloomy atmosphere enveloped the entire area, and the roaring and crying sounds were looming, making it difficult to tell whether they were hallucinations or reality.
Alicia expressionlessly searched for books with something like "Encyclopedia of Magical Items" written on the spine. She successfully found a few, but the results she got after opening them were not what she wanted.
The book simply states: "Although it is called resurrection, it does not actually have such an effect. It only allows the deceased relatives to appear in a phantom-like form for a short period of time. It is not even a ghost."
This was definitely not the answer the Dark Lord wanted her to find.
Before she could move forward, a faint light came into view.
A hand holding a lamp appeared out of nowhere and moved slowly, which looked very strange no matter how you looked at it.
Alicia gently put the book back in its place, then pulled out her wand and stood there motionless.
The man holding the lantern under the invisibility cloak was unaware of the other person's presence. He was concentrating on observing the bookcases on both sides.
He took off his cloak quickly and reached out without hesitation to a book that was obviously not that normal.
Harry Potter!
The girl wanted to cast a stunning spell on him. Based on her experience over the past month, the book was filled with a strong aura of dark magic. If any noise was made, she would be in big trouble.
She walked quickly to the boy, but was a beat too late.
"Ah!!!" A face suddenly jumped out from the pages of the book and howled.
At the same time, the girl grabbed Harry's wrist.
"Bang!" The lamp in the boy's hand fell to the ground.
"Ah!!!" This wailing sound was uttered by Harry in shock after being caught.
Damn Potter.
As expected, Mrs. Norris came out from somewhere, and Filch's malicious voice followed closely: "Damn little devil, I've seen you, come out quickly."
Alicia knew that her current magic power was not enough to maintain the Disillusionment Charm. After weighing the pros and cons, she decisively got into the cloak that Harry was covering his head with, and covered his mouth to prevent him from making any sound.
Of course Harry couldn't just surrender, he struggled desperately. But the girl was naturally not as strong as Harry, who had been doing housework since he was a child. The two of them were in a stalemate while each ran towards the other side.
"You, are you a human?" While dodging Filch, Harry couldn't help but ask in a low voice while holding the girl's cold hand.
Alicia gritted her teeth in anger. She waved her wand and cast a spell. Suddenly, the girl was exposed to Harry's sight.
He looked so surprised that he didn't know what to say, and just before he asked again, a familiar voice sounded behind them.
Not Filch, but...Snape?
And Chilo?
"...Think carefully about who you should be loyal to." Snape forced Quirrell into a corner, and the latter looked terrified.
Alicia couldn't help but twitch her lips as she watched this scene. On the one hand, she was worried that the Dark Lord would hold a grudge for this, but on the other hand, she couldn't accept Quirrell's behavior.
Suddenly, Snape turned his head without warning, and if it weren't for the invisibility cloak, the girl would have looked right into the eyes of her godfather.
Harry and Alicia held their breath at the same time and took a few steps back in tacit understanding.
Snape, with a solemn expression, stretched out his hand, but touched nothing. He just felt that the feeling of being stared at was not fake, which was confirmed when Filch arrived holding his cat.
Where Snape couldn't see, Quirrell, who had been timid, smiled sinisterly in the direction of the invisibility cloak. Coincidentally, both Harry and Alicia saw this scene.
Unlike Harry's doubts, the girl knew that Quirrell would definitely help her evacuate this place.
Once she was exposed, it would be a big trouble for him.
She pulled Harry back again until they were behind the stone door.
