Chapter 19: Backfire 2
Between losing their lives and Filch, the three of them decisively chose Filch and ran all the way back to the common room. They were still in shock when they stood in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady.
Hermione stomped up the stairs to her dormitory, turned sharply back to the two boys and said, "I'm going to bed, because one of you will always come up with a brilliant idea that will get us killed, or worse, expelled."
After saying this, she turned around and walked away.
"Which one is more serious?" Ron frowned and looked at Harry, who shrugged and walked towards the boys' dormitory.
For Gryffindors, brief adventures are always followed by some comforting little reward.
This was the breakfast the next day.
A white owl flew into the Great Hall carrying a long package. After finding Harry's position, it dropped the long object and flew towards the teachers' seats.
Harry looked at the owl in surprise. Ron and Hermione also came over, and the three of them opened the package together.
It's a flying broom!
Harry opened his eyes wide, and his joy directly infected the classmates around him. Ron also looked very excited. He pointed at the flying broom and shouted excitedly: "Harry! Harry! Nimbus 2000! That's the latest Nimbus 2000!"
Hermione glanced at the owl beside Professor McGonagall, then looked at Harry who was smiling at Professor McGonagall, and guessed something. She was also happy for her friend.
The Weasley twins had also scurried over to them, sitting on either side of Ron and Harry once again.
"Cool, Harry, you're the youngest Seeker in Hogwarts' history!" Fred looked very proud that such a person appeared in Gryffindor.
At this time, Ron told Harry that Fred and George were the team's batsmen, and they would be members of the same team in the future.
"That's right. Our task is to prevent you from being hit by the Bludger. Although this is unlikely, no one has ever died in a Quidditch match, so you don't have to worry too much." George put his arm on his brother's shoulder and introduced Quidditch to the newly minted Seeker in their team.
The discussions and celebrations at the Gryffindor table resounded throughout the hall. Even their ghost, Nearly Headless Nick, seemed very happy and kept telling the Ravenclaw ghost lady how optimistic he was about Harry.
A group of Slytherins couldn't help but express their disgust when watching this scene.
Draco threw the fork onto the plate in annoyance. It was a rare time for him to be so disrespectful of etiquette, but no one disagreed. If possible, they even wanted to throw the fork at the stupid lions.
"That old lunatic is really biased." Alicia's face looked very ugly.
First-year students were not even allowed to bring broomsticks to school, but Potter was selected as a seeker and had a broomstick of his own.
Even she was so angry, not to mention Draco, who had loved Quidditch since he was a child and hoped to join the house team as soon as possible.
"Harry Potter." Draco gritted his teeth and uttered the name that made him extremely angry.
Alicia said nothing. She looked at Dumbledore, who was sitting in the middle of the teachers' seats. Her eyes were not kind at all.
Oh, the old lunatic made no secret of his preference for Gryffindor and his golden boy.
No wonder the godfather always likes to give extra points to Slytherin. I guess I was also poisoned by the old madman's partiality when I was a student.
This was the first time the girl was not favored, and her dissatisfaction with Dumbledore was almost as great as her hatred for Quirrell.
Of course, she disdained the white-bearded old man's partiality. Some things were either not available to everyone or, if available, only her side had them - such as privileges.
Alicia suddenly hated watching others exercise their privileges, or perhaps she had never had similar experiences before and therefore had not discovered this trait in herself.
Ambition and desire often begin to grow at a certain moment.
Draco couldn't accept that what he had longed for since childhood was achieved effortlessly by Potter, and couldn't accept that he became the focus of the crowd again and again.
Alicia also couldn't accept that Porter and his friends were the owners of privilege.
In fact, it's not just her, most Slytherins feel resentful about this.
After a boring breakfast, the girl followed Draco out of the Great Hall and headed to the Potions classroom in the cellar.
Just as she was about to step out of the door, three figures came running towards her, no, five.
Five Gryffindors, damn.
She couldn't help but quicken her pace while holding Draco's hand. Unfortunately, even then, she couldn't escape that cry...
"Alicia Malfoy!"
Seeing that she couldn't avoid it, Alicia had to stop, turned around and looked at them coldly. Draco also did not leave, and the first years stayed where they were.
The Slytherins stood there in silence, looking at the newcomers with gloomy eyes.
Ron was a little dumbfounded when he saw this scene. He never thought that just calling someone would make this group of Slytherins stop: "Uh... um... Alicia Malfoy, we are... we are here to apologize..."
He emphasized the girl's name and spoke haltingly. Besides being surprised, he was also a little nervous to apologize to such a large group of people.
Seeing his brother like this, Fred quickly took over the conversation in a loud voice: "The day the troll was released, George and I shouldn't have tricked you into wandering in the corridor. I'm really sorry."
With him taking the lead, Ron relaxed a lot: "Yes, there's also me and Harry."
"We shouldn't have misunderstood that you wanted to hurt Hermione, let alone put you..."
"Enough!" Alicia stopped him from saying the next word in a harsh voice. She didn't want others to know that she was pushed to the ground by Weasley, and she didn't want to accept an apology from Gryffindor in front of so many Slytherins.
These damn lions must have done it on purpose, deliberately framing her in front of so many people and making them mistakenly believe that she had some connection with Gryffindor.
It’s simply sinister!
"I don't think there is any misunderstanding between you and me. Instead, everyone saw you slandering my brother and Potter defying school rules and bringing a flying broom. By the way, Weasley, call me by my last name next time!"
The only thing missing is a middle name, which is the full name. Who does he think he is to call someone by their full name? The Godfather only calls them by their full name when he is angry.
"As for these two Mr. Weasleys..." Alicia's expression was not natural. She was obviously thinking about what happened in the Request Room. She paused, fearing that they would get angry and tell her about the newspaper, so she did not curse them. "I believe that 100% is enough to urge you to reflect on your actions."
