Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 32 Malfoy Manor Basement (Part )

Ron seemed to be unable to adjust to facing Draco for a while. Before, whenever he and Draco met at school, they would throw curses at each other or glare at each other. Now, Draco could walk into his house and eat at the same table with him. It was like an illusion.

And so far this guy hasn't said anything unpleasant.

But now, seeing Harry pinching Draco's newly grown fox ears and laughing happily, and Hermione looking accustomed to it beside him, all this made Ron wonder if he had forgotten some important event.

It seemed as if the relationship between the Malfoys and the Weasleys had been repaired overnight.

"We should get along well in the future. There is a long way to go." Hermione nodded, as if she saw through Ron's thoughts.

Draco turned around and blinked. "There's a long way to go."

Before this, the only connection between the two families was that they were both classified as pure-blood families in the wizarding world. Although the Weasleys expressed disdain for this and clearly showed their friendly attitude towards Muggles, the Malfoys were just the opposite. They considered themselves to be pure-bloods and looked down on non-pure bloods.

But at this moment, Ron saw peace in front of his eyes, so he temporarily dispelled his doubts and carefully joined the conversation.

"So you will definitely go to watch this year's Quidditch World Cup? Since George has booked all the billboards." Draco recalled the last time he met the Weasley family during Quidditch.

Ron nodded. "Maybe I'll join the volunteer channel for the Quidditch World Cup and help maintain order. You know, working in the Ministry of Magic doesn't allow me to manipulate internally to get tickets for the whole family..."

“It will be successful. These products are very interesting.”

Ron couldn't believe that he could still hear words of encouragement from Draco, and his mouth opened in surprise.

Seeing that Ron looked horrified as if he had eaten a Dementor alive, Draco added lightly: "Of course, it's not exquisite enough. It's still a long way from being put in the collection in the basement of Malfoy Manor."

"Oh!" George immediately interrupted, "If a product that could fit in your basement was to be sold at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, I'd probably be in Azkaban instead of here."

"How is that possible? I'm so innocent and harmless." Draco grabbed a goblin that sneaked in and threw it out neatly.

Behind them, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley lit up their latest magical illusion fireworks. Every time a new firework rose, it would briefly create a different illusion around them. For a few moments, Harry felt that the flame tails drifting down from the sky covered all the hills near the Weasleys' home. A vague illusion effect emerged, making the crooked Burrow look like a palace.

"I have already made an agreement with my parents that I can go back to Malfoy Manor today to get the opal pendant and share lunch with you. So our schedule today is squash class - Malfoy Manor - Gringotts - mathematics class."

After swapping the silver sword, Harry and Draco observed that the Forsyth family's tendency to drink had indeed decreased, but Alex's pressure to enter school, Lina's prenatal anxiety, and Matthew's involvement in insider trading operations had not changed.

Squash court. The next junior regional competition was held abroad, and Lena, who was about to give birth to a baby, specifically told Harry to strengthen Alex's training before the game.

"Alex, you're going to have a brother or sister soon. You can help your brother or sister with their homework in the future."

During the intermission, Draco sat outside the squash court and flipped through his homework book in boredom.

"You teach them first, and then let them help me." Alex quickly came up with his solution. "Plus, my schedule has become even tighter after the drama rehearsal. I feel like a spinning top that is constantly being whipped and can't stop."

"You want a baby to do your private school homework?" Harry served another ball and started practicing hitting with Alex.

"Growing up is too hard. I'd rather go back to being a baby." Alex hit the ball hard while putting on an overwhelmed expression. "Luckily, Dad seems to be in a much better mood these days. I wonder if he was scared by the sudden loss of his voice last time. He's even asking his friends at the Lakeside Club to help him exorcise the evil spirit."

Draco laughed out loud: "The elites of the Lakeside Club also have these skills?"

Alex was so anxious to turn around and answer that he missed the latest ball. "I did witness a lot of supernatural phenomena over there. The world is really different from what is written in science textbooks, isn't it?"

Draco and Harry looked at each other. Goblin products came from this club, so the possibility of goblins or wizards in this club could not be ruled out.

"Maybe I should contact Lancelot, the Egyptian I met at the squash match. We will get closer to this club sooner or later." Draco took out his cell phone.

"So the professor he knows is our next target?" Harry looked at his phone.

"Yes, the Lakeside Club has a double invitation system, and we only have Matthew now."

At this time Alex came up and asked, "What are you talking about?"

Draco pinched his face and said, "We may have to tutor others, and we won't be able to do homework with you every day."

"No!" Alex was shocked. "I can't live without you. I won't have time to write this stuff."

"Let's be more practical. How about I buy him a Weasley's automatic writing pen?" Harry whispered beside Draco. "Just say it's the Lakeside Club's witchcraft."

"Fortunately, the Weasley brothers hadn't developed this product back then. I can't imagine how much less homework you would have written by then." Draco found a mistake in Alex's homework book and was correcting it directly.

On the other side, Malfoy Manor.

"Draco said he would bring Harry over today and we would have lunch together." Narcissa walked in the corridor of Malfoy Manor holding Lucius' arm. The morning sunlight shone through the patterns on the pillars, leaving several shadows on the thick carpet.

"So, when he was a kid, he always wanted to be friends with the savior, and now his wish has finally come true? I thought they would always be enemies." Lucius' light golden hair fell on his shoulders, and the snake-head cane in his hand was shining.

"Yes, after all, we have been telling him the stories of Harry Potter since he was a child. Which child in a wizarding family doesn't grow up like this?" Narcissa said with a smile.

"Although he let our house-elf run away..." Lucius sighed softly, "But I can consider cooking myself this time, Cissy."

"Just think of it as a celebration for Draco's return home after such a long mission. We should prepare something sumptuous."
