Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 145 Taking advantage of the situation

"There should be a hidden building in between." Lancelot turned back and forth between the two incoherent house numbers and said thoughtfully. "There is no house number on the address here."

"Draco may have found a way in." Ed looked around. Except for the woods that gradually faded into darkness, there was no one here. "Where we are standing now should be conspicuous - he didn't rush out to meet us."

The two looked at each other in silence, as if they both sensed the other's slightly uneasy mood. From the moment they accidentally heard the bad news on the island, to the garbage they saw scattered all over the already struck Gringotts, to the moment they were told that Harry was missing and had to go to this deserted mountain to provide support, they had gradually realized the severity of the bad news.

In the past, all kinds of hidden contradictions in the wizarding society were like a slowly accumulating chronic disease. This chronic disease caused annoying pain in various parts of the body from time to time, but it was not enough to cause the collapse of order, so everyone chose to turn a blind eye. When Voldemort lost power and the biggest contradiction was resolved, tiny chronic diseases broke out at the same time, just as the division continued to grow and expand after the crisis receded. Only division can cause the collapse of everything that seemed indestructible.

Time passed by minute by minute, and Ed looked at Lancelot subconsciously.

"There is no new news about Draco - then - now is my favorite time to pry the door open." Lancelot stretched out his wand, cast a disillusionment spell on himself and Ed, and then began to chant to the gap between the two buildings. "You will find that the work skills accumulated by the curse breakers have a certain degree of universality -"

After a few quick and continuous spells, the building hidden in the middle had expanded and appeared before their eyes. The gate asked the two people: "Please verify the passcode?"

"So fast?" Although I couldn't see Ed's expression clearly, I could tell from his slightly surprised tone that he was very surprised.

"There are only so many ways to lock a door with magic, just as there are only so many ways to unlock a door. If the method is one of a few spells, you only need to try them one by one." Lancelot stared at the small gray attic behind the door and said, "But after opening so many doors - there are always some quick ideas, some feel for prying the door open."

"It seems like a lot of people live here." Ed looked at the shadows flashing behind the attic window, the messy footprints in the garden, and an old book thrown aside but no one picked it up. "The living habits are also worrying."

"I should have a way to get through this door without a password - with some little tricks -" Lancelot had just finished speaking when Ed grabbed the tip of Lancelot's staff, interrupting his next move.

"Maybe we should wait for Draco's news. Will we disrupt his plan if we go in directly?" Ed asked hesitantly. He was now convinced of Lancelot's intrusion skills. "Since this building is hidden by magic, maybe the owner of the house does not want strangers to break in? Although we are invisible, it is still very risky-"

"But I'm more worried that we'll be absent when our friends might be in danger - I might not forgive myself for that." Because he couldn't see Ed's expression clearly, Lancelot could only poke Ed's wrist that was holding him based on his feeling.

"Please verify the passcode." The gate repeated the question, as if urging the invisible guest to make a decision immediately.

Their disagreement didn't last long, because the door suddenly opened.

A man who rushed out collided with the two men.

"Oh!" Draco almost tripped and fell to the ground. He quickly grabbed one of the men's shoulders and stopped before he fell.

Draco reacted quickly, "It's you!"

"It's us." Ed replied, recognizing Draco's voice. "We were just trying to get your opinion on what to do now."

Draco fumbled to pull the two of them away, then lifted the Disillusionment Charm. The burning sensation from the patriarch's ring made his face turn pale, and his clothes were already soaked with fine cold sweat.

"Harry is in there. He was given a potion and was knocked unconscious. There are guards watching him."

"A conspiracy between werewolves and goblins in preparation for Quidditch - an attack, I suppose - unless we back down."

"My parents—" Draco raised his trembling hand with the ring, "I'm afraid I have to leave quickly and return to them. If they find out I'm here, I'm afraid it will only alert them."

Lancelot and Ed obviously didn't fully understand the meaning of these words, but Draco's expression that was close to convulsion and the cold sweat on his forehead had already exposed his situation.

The next second, Draco's face turned even worse. With a loud bang in the air, Lucius and Narcissa appeared nearby. "I'll find a way to get out again." Draco whispered to the two who were still invisible, and then ran towards his parents.

In the distance, the sound of footsteps had already made the couple discover their son's whereabouts. They stared at Draco coldly without saying a word. Draco opened his arms and hugged his parents almost at the same time. There was another loud bang, and the three of them disappeared into the night at the same time.

"Did I just hear some bad news again?" Lancelot said to himself. "And it's not clear."

"Quidditch World Cup—" Ed raised his voice, "I almost forgot I have to go to the scene to cheer for Krum—attack?"

"Judging from the current situation, we might as well ask the Ministry of Magic to suspend the game." Lancelot tried to move his steps, but stopped because of the scene in front of him. A goblin seemed to have heard an unusual sound. It walked out of the house and looked around vigilantly for a long time. After a long time, it shrank back into the attic with a suspicious look on its face.

After the goblin disappeared, Ed suddenly spoke up: "Pry the door open."

"Hmm?" Lancelot answered vaguely.

"Even if we tell the Ministry of Magic, there is no way to completely stop this. We have to figure out Harry's situation, the specific plans of the goblins and werewolves, and their ultimate intentions and bottom line, right?" Ed said.

"I'm afraid the goblin won't cooperate with your interview and tell you all this—" Lancelot was already in a bad mood after hearing a series of bad news all night.

"Harry is unconscious due to the potion." Ed recalled what Draco said. "We need to find a way to get him out."

"Change it out?"

"I'll lie down in his place, and you take the Savior to stop this." Ed repeated. "We need enough Polyjuice Potion and hair. Since goblins like to switch things up, we might as well switch them a few more times."

"You're dreaming." Lancelot answered bluntly. "Do you think I would agree?"
