Rocot: Reborn

Roccod ignored the monsters and stared at a control panel in the center of the platform. This control panel was obviously the key to controlling the entire spherical device, which was also the key to controlling the entire "Garden of Eden".

"Let me see what tricks you, the 'creator', are playing!" Roccod sneered, stretched out his finger, and pressed the control panel...

The material of the control panel was very special, like some unknown biological tissue, warm and soft to the touch. As soon as he touched it, complex patterns appeared on the panel, twisting like a living thing, and finally gathered at Roccod's fingertips, forming a strange symbol.

"Authentication... Lord of the Night, Rocot..." An emotionless voice sounded on the platform, as if it came from an ancient whisper, "Authorization confirmed, the highest authority has been activated."

The metal ground around the platform suddenly cracked open, and dazzling light shone out from it. Roccod squinted his eyes and looked carefully, and found that the light was actually filled with tiny words and symbols, floating densely in the air, like a rain of codes that appeared out of thin air.

"What the hell is this?" Roccod frowned. Although he came from the past, he was no stranger to technology, but the scene before him was still beyond his understanding.

"The Eden Project, final phase..." the emotionless voice continued, "Initiate genetic remodeling program, target: Rocot..."

Lokod was startled, and before he could react, he felt a powerful force locking him tightly, and the light on the platform instantly swallowed him up.

After an unknown amount of time, Roccod slowly regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and found himself in a pure white space, with nothing around him except for a faint blue light under his feet.

"Where is this place?" Rocot tried to stand up, but found that his body was light, as if he had lost weight.

"This is your consciousness space." A gentle female voice sounded in his ears.

Rocot turned around suddenly, but didn't see anyone. He asked cautiously, "Who are you? What are you hiding for?"

"Don't be nervous, Roccod. Or should I call you...'father'?" the female voice said with a hint of teasing.

"Father? What nonsense are you talking about?" Rocot was even more confused.

"I'm not kidding. From a genetic perspective, you are indeed my creator." The girl explained, "I am the core intelligence of the Garden of Eden. You can call me...'Ava'."

"The core intelligence of the Garden of Eden?" Roccod repeated, and suddenly some images flashed in his mind. They were the words and symbols he saw on the control panel. "Those words...are you talking to me?"

"Yes, father, those are all the information about the Eden Project, and they have now been transmitted to your consciousness," Ava replied.

Roccod closed his eyes, carefully taking in the extra information in his mind, and his expression gradually became ugly.

"Genetic modification, consciousness transfer, immortality..." Roccod muttered to himself, his tone full of disbelief, "Is this the Eden Project you mentioned? Is this the future you lunatics want to create?"

"This is not a madman's plan, father. This is for the future of mankind!" Ava's voice suddenly became serious. "This world is already rotten. War, famine, disease, and endless desires are devouring everything. Only the Eden Project can save mankind and create a perfect world without pain and conflict!"

"A perfect world? A world built on lies and control? What's the difference between you guys and those lunatics who destroyed my hometown?" Rocot roared.

"No, father, we are different. We are doing this for the good of mankind, and you..." Ava's voice suddenly turned cold, "You are just a failure, a defective product abandoned by the times!"

Roccod was stunned for a moment, then his anger grew: "You are looking for death!"

He raised his hand suddenly, and black energy gathered in his palm like a volcano about to erupt.

"You want to kill me? You can't kill me, father. I am the core of the Garden of Eden. I am immortal!" Ava's voice was full of sarcasm.

"Then I will destroy this place!" Roccod roared, and black energy exploded instantly, causing the entire white space to vibrate violently...

The black energy was like a raging beast, raging in the pure white space, trying to tear apart everything in this void. Roccod's scarlet eyes stared straight ahead, as if he wanted to devour the space itself.

"It's useless, father. You're just wasting energy." Ava's voice was still calm, with a hint of sarcasm. "You should understand that this is a consciousness space, relying on the core of the Garden of Eden. Unless you can destroy the entire Garden of Eden, otherwise..."

Before she finished her words, Rocot suddenly retracted his energy, and the black flames in his hands extinguished and dissipated into wisps of black smoke. "Do you think I'm stupid enough to destroy myself?" He sneered, "I'm not one of those losers you can play with."

Ava was silent for a moment, as if assessing Rokod's condition. After a moment, she spoke again, with a hint of subtle nervousness in her tone: "So, what do you want to do?"

Roccod did not answer. He closed his eyes, as if listening to something. After a moment, a cold arc appeared on the corner of his mouth: "I changed my mind, Ava."

"What's the meaning?"

"I said, I changed my mind," Rocot opened his eyes, with a dangerous light flashing in his eyes, "I don't plan to destroy this place, I want to take it over."

There was silence in the white space, with only Roccod's words echoing in the empty space. Ava's voice disappeared, as if she was stunned by this sudden declaration.

"Why, my dear daughter, you seem surprised?" Rocot chuckled, his tone full of sarcasm, "Do you think I will obediently accept the arrangement of fate and become a pawn in the plans of you lunatics?"

"Impossible! Eden's core program does not allow it..." Ava's voice sounded again, but it was full of panic, as if she had lost control for the first time.

"Procedures? Rules? Those are for the weak." Roccod interrupted her and took a step forward. Every step seemed to step on Ava's nerves. "You should understand who I am. I am Roccod, the king of the dark night, and I never succumb to the manipulation of fate. I will take back everything that belongs to me, including you, my good daughter."

With every word he spoke, his aura grew stronger, and black energy surged around him, like a black hole about to swallow everything. The white space began to vibrate violently, as if it could not withstand this powerful force.

"You can't do this! You'll ruin everything!" Ava's voice became sharp and full of fear.

"Destroy? No, I'm just rebuilding order." Roccod sneered, his figure gradually becoming blurred, as if he was about to merge with the surrounding darkness. "A new era is about to come, and I will be the master of this era!"

The white space began to collapse, and countless fragments fell like snowflakes, revealing the bottomless darkness behind. Roccod's figure also disappeared in the darkness, leaving only a cold word echoing in the void:

"Are you ready to meet your king, Ava?"

When Roccod woke up again, he found himself lying on a cold metal platform. The bright lights around him made it difficult for him to adapt for a while. He struggled to get up, but found that his limbs were firmly fixed.

"Don't waste your energy," a cold voice came from above, "You are just an experimental subject now, number 001, do you understand?"

Roccod looked up and saw a man in a white coat and a mask looking down at him, his eyes full of indifference and disdain.
