My Rebirth and the Strange Adventure of Black Zhen

Chapter 318: Thrall’s Past (Part )

Considering that the Alliance High King Varian Wrynn and Overlord Sarfaru are attacking the Lich King's Frozen Throne, there is no need for him to take risks.

And King Saurfang has sufficient reasons to attack the Lich King.

That is to kill King Salfaru the Younger and free his soul from the shackles of the Lich King.

Afterwards, most of the elites of the Horde and the Alliance led by Highlord Tirion Fordring died and could not be resurrected.

There is only one exception.

That's Bronk.

Thrall gave Broxigar's Centaur Axe to his most trusted shaman advisor, Sura.

Then the whole of Azeroth was invaded by the Emerald Nightmare. Although Xue Ge realized the coming of the mist, it was too late. After the Emerald Nightmare ended, Malfurion sent Thura back to Thrall and told him the important role Thura played in the incident. Thrall wrote a letter to the Archdruid and Tyrande, and the messenger was Thura.

Thrall appears in Sulla's nightmares and executes him for his failures.

In Thrall's dream, he was forced to face the death of Taretha Foxton again. He tried various methods to save Taretha, but each time ended in failure. The last time Thrall used Blackmoore's tactics to sneak attack Durnholde, and finally found Taretha alive in the bedroom. Blackmoore poured wine on Thrall's face, and Thrall, who lost his sight, accidentally killed Taretha. Finally, the nightmare ended with Thrall crying.

Moon Earthfury came to Orgrimmar to seek advice from Thrall. Recently, there has been a disagreement within the Earthen Ring on how to deal with the elements. On one side is the traditional method, and on the other side is the more efficient means taken by Shotoa and his followers. Thrall himself was also hesitant. He finally told Moon that change is the nature of nature, but only those ways that benefit his people are correct and desirable. He suggested that Moon follow the guidance of the Earth Spirit to make decisions. Regarding Thrall's ambiguous attitude, Moon told his concerns to Drek'Thar. Drek'Thar blamed himself for not providing useful advice to Thrall recently. He also told Moon that he foresaw two different destinies for Azeroth. When the time comes, the Earthen Ring will become the savior of the world, or lead it to destruction. The prophet suddenly became manic and warned Moon that "the fire will consume everything."

After the battle in Northrend, Garrosh Hellscream and his soldiers returned home. Thrall held a celebration for them and handed Gorehowl to Garrosh. At the same time, a bonfire was lit in Orgrimmar. The changes in the Wrathgate have caused the trade agreement between the Horde and the Alliance to no longer exist. At this time, the Horde is facing severe natural disasters and financial problems. Thrall sent Hamul to meet with the Cenarion Circle in order to gain support for the Horde. Durotar suffered a severe drought, and the bonfire ignited the buildings. Thrall found that this fire was not simple. The elements have become more and more restless and began to lose control.

At this time, an orc attack on the night elves in Ashenvale once again pushed the relationship between the Alliance and the Horde to the brink of danger. Facing Varian's condemnation and questioning, Thrall was deeply annoyed and angry, but in order to maintain the morale of the orcs, he had to refuse to hand over the murderer. After discussing with Jaina Proudmoore and Eitrigg, he decided to go to Nagrand in Outland to meet the elementals there to find answers. Before leaving, he ignored Cairne Bloodhoof's objection and let Garrosh act as the warchief.

In Nagrand, Thrall met his grandmother, Gaiaan, who suggested that Thrall seek guidance from the Mag'har shaman Aggra. Thrall eventually met the four elemental furies. Godau, the fury of the earth, told Thrall that the stones he brought from Azeroth showed that the elements here were terrified by the sundering of the earth, and a cataclysm similar to the one that happened in Draenor was about to happen. Thrall decided to return to Azeroth to stop the cataclysm, and he and Aggra developed a mutual affection, and finally Aggra decided to go with Thrall. At this time, Perez Thunderhoof arrived at Garadar and told Thrall what happened in Azeroth. Cairne died at the hands of Garrosh, and the Terrortotems attacked Thunder Bluff.

Thrall immediately returned to Azeroth and attended the funeral of his old friend, regretting the quarrel he had with Cairne. He finally left a rune of "healing" on Cairne's spear as a permanent memorial. At this point, Thrall decided to take off the black armor inherited from Orgrim Doomhammer, and Baine Bloodhoof took it back to Orgrimmar.

Soon after, a large-scale earthquake broke out, changing the landscape of Azeroth. Thrall decided to go to the vortex with Agna - he felt that this was the source of the catastrophe, in order to appease the restless elements. They took a ship called "Drakar's Wrath" via Ratchet City and headed for the vortex.

Thrall appeared in the Lost Isles of the Goblins and helped the Goblins officially join the Horde. Later, Thrall was captured by SI:7 on his way to the Maelstrom, and the Goblins who escaped from Kezan played an important role in rescuing Thrall. In return, Thrall helped the Goblins fight between the islands, and after defeating Trade Prince Gallywix, he announced that the Consortium would join the Horde and settle in Azshara, allowing Gallywix to continue to serve as the leader of the Consortium, and sent goblin agents to inform Thrall's successor, Garrosh Hellscream, of the news.

During Thrall's absence, tensions within the Horde continued to mount, particularly between acting Warchief Garrosh and Darkspear chieftain Vol'jin. Thrall convinced Vol'jin that Garrosh was the right person to hold the Horde together.[62]

As one of the most prominent shamans on Azeroth, Thrall retired from his position as Warchief and joined the Earthen Ring. He traveled to the Great Vortex deep in the Great Sea, where Deathwing was preparing to return from Deepholm. The appearance of the corrupted dragons tore open the barrier between Azeroth and the elemental plane, and Thrall used his power to try to heal the wounds. In the nightmare created by Ersoras, Thrall was also in it, and he watched in despair as Nobundo, Aggra, and Muun were killed by the mad dragons.

Thrall was unable to concentrate during the ritual of the Earthen Ring. He realized that he had become the weakest link in the ritual. Confused and powerless, Thrall decided to temporarily leave the sanctuary to sort out his thoughts. At the same time, something happened in Wyrmrest Temple. The Twilight Hammer Cult captured the Ruby Sanctum. Alexstrasza's spouse Korialstrasz betrayed the coalition and destroyed all the unhatched dragon eggs under the Wyrmrest Temple. The grief-stricken Lifebinder left the coalition. Witnessing all this, Ysera transformed into a Kaldorei and found Thrall, asking him to go to a habitat in Feralas to help a group of druids. Although reluctant, Thrall still took on the task.

In Feralas, Thrall found this group of night elf druids and won their trust. After communicating with the restless fire elementals that disturbed the elves and the ancient trees, Thrall discovered the truth of the matter. The disorder of the time flow caused the ancient trees' memories to become confused. The frightened fire elementals decided to "purify" the ancient trees in an extreme way. The elf Deshalin was actually a green dragon. Under the instruction of Ysera, he secretly helped and observed Thrall. He told Thrall Ysera's plan - to find Nozdormu, the bronze dragon that fought against the Eternal Dragon Legion, and find out the truth about the disorder of the time flow. Deshalin carried Thrall away from Feralas and came to the Caverns of Time with the acorns given by the ancient trees.

In the Caverns of Time, Desharin and Thrall failed to find Nozdormu, but were attacked by a mysterious human assassin, and Desharin was beheaded. In the melee, Thrall was thrown into a time cave by the bronze dragon guards, where Thrall met his parents and himself in his cradle, as well as Orgrim Doomhammer. He realized that this was the night his parents were killed, but in order to protect the timeline from being disturbed, he could only stand by and watch. After witnessing the murder of Durotan and Draka, he repelled the assassin and assured Durotan, who was dying, that the people of the Horde would have their own future. At this time, Aedras Blackmoore was about to arrive at the scene, and Thrall encountered the mysterious assassin again and fell into the river with him in the melee.

After Thrall got rid of the assassin, he came to the Hillsbrad Foothills in the wrong timeline and met "Taretha". He learned from the conversation that the Thrall in this timeline had died in his infancy, and Blackmoore killed Menethil Terenas II, Orgrim Doomhammer and Anduin Lothar, and sat on the throne of Lordaeron. Surprised, Thrall used the necklace left by Taretha in his own timeline to persuade Taretha in this timeline, who still had strong malice towards the orcs, to help him. The two went to Dalaran to meet the red dragon Korialstrasz, who was aliased as Krasus. After seeing the ancient tree acorns containing endless knowledge from another timeline, Krasus believed in Thrall's identity and helped Thrall get rid of the dilemma of time and space illusion.

Thrall finally met the Time Keeper Nozdormu, who pieced together all the events and clues and told Thrall the truth that he would fall into depravity in the future and become the leader of the Eternal Dragon Legion. It was this fallen self that sent the mysterious human assassin, Aedelas Blackmoore, who disappeared in the wrong timeline, to hunt Thrall down. In order to find out the truth and set things right, Thrall needed to avoid being hunted down and persuade the collapsed Life-Binder Alexstrasza and the leaderless Blue Dragon Legion to return to the Wyrmrest Alliance.

Bronze dragon Tiko led Thrall to find Alexstrasza, but the disheartened Life-Binder rejected Thrall. Thrall then went to the Nexus, where he participated in the meeting of the Blue Dragonflight to elect a new Guardian. When the Embrace of the Two Moons arrived, Kalecgos was favored by the Titans and became the new Guardian of the Blue Dragonflight. The angry Arygos returned to the Twilight Godfather, to whom he secretly served, but was killed by Aedelas Blackmoore, whose blood was used to revive the colorful dragon Chromatos. Chromatos, who had not yet fully recovered his combat power, led the Twilight Dragonflight to attack Coldarra. During the fierce battle, Thrall fell from Kalecgos' back and escaped by chance on the snow. He was then attacked by Aedelas Blackmoore again. With the help of the elements, he subdued Blackmoore and hammered him to death.

The blue dragonflight was defeated on the battlefield, and Kalecgos's men rescued Thrall. Thrall encouraged Kalecgos to continue fighting, and he left again to find Alexstrasza. This time, Thrall shared his vision with the Life-Binder. Alexstrasza knew the truth of the matter. Korialstrasz did not betray her and the Wyrmrest Alliance. Korialstrasz found that the dragon eggs and himself had been infected by the plague of the Twilight Cultists. Some dragon eggs had begun to hatch colorful dragons. In order to stop the conspiracy of the Twilight Hammer, he chose to die with the contaminated dragon eggs. Alexstrasza finally healed her mental trauma and returned to the dragon alliance with Thrall. Later, Krigosa, who was imprisoned and tortured by the Twilight Cultist, escaped from Wyrmrest Temple. Her arrival also confirmed what Thrall saw in the illusion. The morale of the dragonflight was greatly boosted, and they were determined to retake Wyrmrest Temple.

The red, green, and blue dragonflights, led by the Life-Binder, began to counterattack Wyrmrest Temple, but were defeated by the powerful Chromatus. Nozdormu arrived with the bronze dragonflight and led the other dragons to retreat. Nozdormu proposed that the five guardians must unite to defeat Chromatus. Thrall replaced the madly corrupted Earth-Warder Neltharion, and the five guardians worked together to kill Chromatus. The Twilight Father escaped by chance and returned to Stormwind under the instruction of Deathwing to continue his disguise as Archbishop Benedictus.[63]

Having successfully completed his mission, Thrall accepted the gratitude and gifts from the four dragon guardians and returned to the Earth Ring under the escort of Tike to continue his work. Facing the upcoming more severe challenges, Thrall temporarily abandoned his old identity and told Rehgar Earthfury:

The Thrall you knew is no longer here. I am Go'el, son of Durotan and Draka. I am only my own Thrall, and the Thrall of my love.

In the Maelstrom, Thrall found that the elements were silent to him. Only Ragnaros, the Firelord, answered his call. Ragnaros promised Thrall that his fire would burn the World Tree and all of Azeroth. He showed Thrall the burning Orgrimmar during the Twilight Hour. Shocked, Thrall fell to the ground, and then he and Aggra set off for Mount Hyjal. After repelling the Twilight's Hammer and the invasion of Ragnaros, the Earthen Ring, the Cenarion Circle and the Aspects, Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage, Thrall and Aggra gathered together to restore the World Tree Nordrassil to save Azeroth.
