HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 908 Extra: Love the House and the Dog
I couldn’t post the previous chapter, and I plan to write about the wedding last, so I’ll put this one up first.
The timeline is a bit messy, don't worry about it.
The timeline here is after the wedding, about a year after the wedding, which is two years after Sif's resurrection.
----
As everyone knows, in addition to Ases, the current head of the Cavendish family, there are two treasures that they hold in their hands for fear of dropping them, and hold in their mouths for fear of melting them.
There were even rumors that because the two younger ones were too spoiled at home, a certain principal was worried that they would affect Ases' status, so he treated them very critically and was very picky.
But no one knew that the person who truly took the saying "Hold it in the palm of your hand for fear of it falling, hold it in your mouth for fear of it melting" to the extreme was exactly the principal they misunderstood.
As for why...
Snape looked down at the little girl in front of him, blinking his moist peach blossom eyes. She was so sleepy that she couldn't even open her eyes, but she still opened her arms for him to hold her. For the eight hundredth time, he threw aside his obsession with maintaining his image, immediately squatted down, picked up the little girl, and patted her back gently. This series of movements was smooth and graceful.
"Go to sleep, I'm right here."
The voice, as smooth and soft as a cello, was played very low, as if afraid of disturbing something. It flowed into the ears, making them tingling and numb.
The little girl closed her eyes in peace.
Aces, who was lying alone on the empty bed, had such a resentful look in his eyes that he almost poked a hole in Snape's back.
"Sev, you've never said such gentle words to me."
"You can make your voice louder and then you can get out."
The voice that was so gentle just now suddenly became like the September autumn wind, chilling the fallen leaves and Ases' heart.
"Brother, don't quarrel, hug me."
A childish voice came from Snape's arms. The little girl, who was so sleepy that she couldn't open her eyes just now, woke up at some point. She clutched Snape's collar, looking at the two men who seemed to be arguing with confusion and worry.
Once again, Aces understood Snape's feelings and his voice unconsciously softened.
"There was no quarrel. My brother would not quarrel with Sev, and Sev would not quarrel with my brother. If Alois doesn't believe it, ask Sev."
Alois looked at Snape, "Fuffo?"
Snape's mouth twitched slightly. No matter how many times he heard this name, he couldn't look straight. If the person called this name was not Alois, he guaranteed that the other person would not see the sun tomorrow. No! Not even today's sun, he said!
Athis turned his head to hold back his laughter, but the thin silk pajamas could not hide the slight shaking of his shoulders. Snape looked over with a dark face, but because there was a little girl in his arms, he could not go over to him, so he could only glare at Athis where Alois could not see.
"I don't know if I have the honor, please ask a certain gentleman with a particularly happy smile to move to the door and bring Albert in."
"Of course, it's an honor."
Ases got off the bed and slowly walked towards the door. When he passed by Snape, he suddenly stopped, a cunning light flashed in his eyes, and he quickly reached out his hand, gently hooked Snape's chin with his index finger, slowly moved closer, accurately held the soft lips, and tasted it slowly.
Alois was lying on Snape's shoulder. Logically, he couldn't see anything, but Snape couldn't help but freeze for a moment. He pressed the hand on Alois's back with a little force, for fear that the little one would raise her head and see her brother acting like a hooligan in the morning.
Seeing Snape's action of covering for him, Athis curled his eyes and kissed him more gently. Every touch of their tongues carried a faint electric current. The atmosphere between the two became unusually lingering. Snape was nervous and had to bite Athis to remind him to be careful.
A slight pain on his lips interrupted Ases's desire to go deeper. Regretfully, he gave up the idea of going further, and his tongue tip swept across his lips and teeth for the last time before slowly withdrawing.
Just when Snape thought he was really going to step back and let down his guard, Athis's Adam's apple rolled slightly, he let out a low, muffled laugh, and then kissed Snape's cheek openly.
A "pop" sound.
Snape was dumbfounded.
I was on guard against everything, but I didn't expect Ases to do this in the end.
When Alois heard the voice, he turned his little head and stared at his smiling brother obediently and curiously. He raised his little hand with his soft five fingers spread out, which was vivid and lifelike.
"Brother, bubbles~boom~"
Snape only felt the scorching heat surging from his head to his feet, and the scorching red clouds burned from the tips of his ears to his cheekbones, and finally to his cheeks.
"Yes, yes, it was the bubbles that burst."
Athis laughed even more happily, and couldn't stop laughing even under Snape's angry gaze.
Snape couldn't stand it anymore and kicked him, hitting the target. Only then did Athis barely suppress his laughter and limped to the door. He carried Albert, who was rolling around in the corridor, in and put him in the middle of the bed.
Albert was having a great time and naturally didn't want to sleep. He kept fiddling with his legs and tried to rush outside. Ases took the quilt and wrapped him up tightly, then threw him back on the bed and closed the door, completely cutting off his hope of escaping.
"Be quiet, your sister is asleep." Asseth patted Albert's butt.
The still wriggling insects instantly became quiet. Other things could make noise, but waking up his sister was really fatal. Albert didn't want to recall the price he paid for waking up his sister before.
Seeing that he had calmed down, Athis looked at Snape and Alois in Snape's arms. Snape pointed to the small blanket at the end of the bed. Athis understood, picked up the small blanket and handed it to Snape, who carefully covered Alois with it.
Alois was so small that he was covered with a blanket that even his head could not be seen. Only his rosy little face was exposed. Even so, Snape was still worried that she would catch a cold, so he pulled his own quilt and wrapped her in another layer.
It’s not Snape’s fault for making a fuss; Alois’s health was just too poor.
Being born prematurely and having spent too long in the womb, Alois' health was much worse than Albert's, and he often fell ill due to some trivial problems.
Over time, the whole family took extra care of Alois.
Snape was no exception.
Looking at Alois's little face that had finally grown some flesh, the Potions Master, who had always given his students a bad look, couldn't help but soften his expression.
He had watched Alois grow up.
Alois's weak body meant that he could not do without potions. He could not trust outsiders, and there were not many people in his family who were good at potions, except for Athis.
Among the two, his potion level is the highest.
So Alois followed him since he was a child and grew up in the Potions Room. Even the first word Alois said was not "Mom", but his name.
Although the name sounds a bit weird.
Thinking of this, Snape gave the "culprit" another glare. If this bastard hadn't been calling "Sifu Sifu" every day, Alois wouldn't have called him the wrong name.
The "culprit" Athis was delighted to receive a "wink" and his heart was moved. He covered Albert's eyes with one hand and reached out to Snape with the other.
Snape sneered and slapped his hand away.
"You'll have three days to find a way to correct the way Alois addressed me."
Ases asked sincerely: "Why do you want to correct it? Isn't it nice to hear Fufu~?"
With the intention of teasing him, he read it out exactly as Alois had pronounced it, even his tone was imitated perfectly, soft and sticky.
Snape: "..."
The weather is getting cold, and it's time for someone to sleep alone.
Well, it starts tonight.
A chill suddenly rose up on Ases' back. His desire to survive came to the fore, so he hurriedly said, "I will correct Alois's way of calling her tomorrow, but I can't guarantee that she will listen to me. After all, she is still young and depends on you so much that even a brother like me has to stand back..."
At the end of his speech, he didn't know who he was jealous of, the sourness in his words was almost overflowing, and his pair of affectionate peach blossom eyes revealed a bit of grievance.
"Sev, you like Alois so much, aren't you worried that I'll be jealous?"
like?
Snape stared into Athis's black eyes, which seemed accusing but were actually gentle, and was in a trance for a moment.
He really liked Alois.
But the reason...
He looked at Alois.
He couldn't help but like a little girl who called Ases brother, had a similar appearance to Ases, was well-behaved, quiet, and never caused trouble.
After all, he just loves the person and the people in him.
It was because of Aces that he had a preference for Alois.
But he never told these words to anyone, including Ases.
At night, Ases became more and more unwilling to give up. He couldn't even sleep. He tossed and turned in bed, struggling over whether he should take the potion to compete for his sister's favor.
This is a bit too shameless. He struggled with it for a long time but couldn't come to a conclusion.
Snape was awakened by his movement. He turned on the bedside lamp in a daze and asked sleepily, "Why aren't you sleeping?"
Ases suddenly stopped like a puppet with the pause button pressed.
After a moment, he waved his hand, turned off the bedside lamp, hugged Snape who couldn't even open his eyes, and kissed his forehead, "Did I wake you up? Go to sleep, I won't wake you up anymore."
Snape was drowsy in the warmth of his lover's embrace, his consciousness was half asleep and half asleep.
Struggling between sleep and not sleeping, he felt Ases's uneasiness in a half-awake state.
Instinctively, he reached out and rubbed Ases's head, murmuring incoherently, his tone indescribably gentle.
"I love you, don't be afraid."
Athis was stunned for a long time, until Snape was about to fall asleep before he came back to his senses. His fingertips trembled as he touched Snape's face, carefully tracing the eyebrows, nose, and lips that he knew by heart...
"Sev, say it again."
Snape felt itchy and dodged back. In a daze, he didn't hear what Aces said, but he heard his own name.
"Well, I'm here."
Aces couldn't hold back any longer. He carefully put his arm around Snape's neck and kissed him devoutly and restrainedly.
The warm touch of his lips and the familiar breath made Snape completely sober. He didn't know what was happening yet, but he subconsciously opened his mouth and allowed Athis to break into his private area and have fun in it.
