HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 84 The New Professor

Nina was very fast, and within a few minutes she was back in the cellar with the food.

Seeing Nina coming back, Asseth took out his wand and prepared to transform into a larger table to eat.

But Snape moved faster, and with a tap of his wand, the originally short table became taller and larger.

Nina placed the food in her hands on the table, bowed and retreated.

Asseth put away his complicated mood and smiled.

"Eat, Professor."

Neither of them were people who chatted while eating. After the meal, there was only the unintentional sound of tableware.

Eating is something that can relieve your mood, especially when the food is to your liking.

Aces could feel that during the meal, the atmosphere around Snape gradually relaxed and his movements became more casual.

After the meal, Artes called Nina to clean up the mess, while Snape returned to the potions room without hesitation.

Aces looked at the closed door and sighed.

He had an excuse for eating, but when it came to sleeping, he couldn't just say that he couldn't sleep alone.

In this way, it is estimated that he will be thrown out in the next second.

Forget it, just let it go and be happy.

Thinking of Snape's expression just now, Artes thought it would be good to have something that he could concentrate on.

Aces also returned to his room to catch up on his sleep.

In the afternoon, Asses got up on time, changed clothes and went to class.

The afternoon class is Defense Against the Dark Arts. This year, their Defense Against the Dark Arts professor has changed again.

He didn't show up on the first day of school, so Asseth and the others haven't met this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher yet.

However, Asseth guessed that the new teacher this time was probably half full of water.

I don't know where Dumbledore found these teachers. They are not reliable at all.

Speaking of Dumbledore, Artes suddenly remembered that he seemed to have not seen his protection target for a long time.

Dumbledore showed up on the first day of school and then disappeared.

Even when Professor Flitwick wanted to find him and told him about the magic riot, he still couldn't find anyone. In the end, it was Professor McGonagall who made the decision.

Artes stopped in the corridor, looked out the window at the distant sky, and felt for the first time that he needed to warn Grindelwald not to be too clingy.

Otherwise, he wouldn't even be able to see the target of his protection, so would he be lonely in protecting him?

With this in mind, Asseth continued to walk towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, the bustling little wizards were chatting about the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

Elise, who was sitting in the front row, saw Arthur walking in quickly and quickly stood up and waved to him.

Aces walked over to the spot Elise had specially left and sat down.

Elise looked at Asseth hesitantly.

"what happened?"

Asseth noticed Elise's strange expression.

"Sir, are you okay?"

Ace frowned.

"Is there anything I should be doing?"

Elise looked at Asseth worriedly.

"Sir, is Professor Snape targeting you?"

Um? against?

Aces suspected that he heard wrongly, or that he didn't wake up when he went out today.

"why would you say so?"

he asked confused.

Elise glanced at Asseth's face and said softly.

"It's not what I said. It has been rumored in Slytherin recently that you have offended Professor Snape, so he has been targeting you."

Aces had nothing to say about this ridiculous statement.

He glanced around the classroom, and sure enough he saw many little snakes who had been taught by him looking at him worriedly.

Aces lowered his head, hesitating to clarify.

While hesitating, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Ke walked in.

This year's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is Galatea Melos, and Artes doesn't know anything about him.

The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor walked in and cleared his throat.

The little wizards who were still chatting fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on the man who came in.

Mellors was wearing a wizard robe and looked at the little wizard below unnaturally.

Aces narrowed his eyes slightly and noticed Melos's hand was clasped.

"Hello everyone, I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. You can call me Professor Mellors."

There was sparse applause from below, and Professor Mellors above smiled a little awkwardly, and then began to give a formal lecture.

Surprisingly, Professor Mellors' teaching level was pretty good. Although he still followed the textbook, the examples interspersed with him were quite vivid.

Everyone's expectations for the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor were not high, so Professor Mellors's class received unanimous praise.

After class, the little wizards were still a little unsatisfied.

With the flow of people, Artes and Elise walked out together. Melos, who was chasing behind them, suddenly stopped Artes.

"Mr. Cavendish."

Aces stopped, turned to look at Mellors behind him, and gave a fake smile.

"What's wrong, Professor Mellors, what's the matter?"

Mellors took a breath.

"Mr. Cavendish, I would like to ask if you have any objections to me."

Asseth's eyes widened and he asked pretending to be confused.

"Why did Professor Mellors say that?"

Merlot looked at Asseth's hand with meaning.

"Just now I noticed that everyone's eyes were on my face, but Mr. Cavendish's eyes were on my hands."

"Did Mr. Cavendish discover something?"

Stupid tentative behavior, Asses's indifferent inner evaluation.

He gave a sneer and was about to speak when a gloomy voice came from behind Asseth.

"Well, let's see who this is."

Hearing Snape's voice, Artes put away the indifference in his eyes, took a step back, and looked at Merles opposite him.

The sarcastic voice came next.

"It turns out to be Professor Mellors. It seems that he plans to leave on the first day of employment."

"Otherwise, I wouldn't be stupid enough to stop the only heir of the Cavendish family in school."

Snape stood between the two of them, looking mockingly at the embarrassed Mellors across from him.

Facing Snape, Melos obviously didn't want to tangle with him any more, so she left a hurried greeting and left.

Snape and Artes looked side by side at Melos's leaving figure, with the same inquiry and coldness in their eyes.

Elise watched this scene quietly and suddenly realized how ridiculous those rumors were.

She didn't need to ask Asseth, their tacit understanding had already silently told her the answer.

Aces looked at Melos's retreating back and was very puzzled.

He knew him, he was sure of it.

But Asseth was also sure that he did not know this person.

So he knew Cavendish or Asseth.
