HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 838 The secret passage leading to Hogwarts

After the meeting ended, the wizards who came to talk and laugh were divided into two groups. One group was still talking and laughing, while the other group was taciturn, showing an extremely obvious contrast.

"A bunch of greedy foxes."

Upstairs, William, who had not suffered any loss the whole time, looked at the bustling crowd below, cursed, and then looked at Asseth, who was sitting still.

"Aces, what's wrong with you today? Why do you look like a dummy?"

Asseth turned his head stiffly, and in a flash of white light, a puppet very similar to him appeared on the seat. William was startled, walked over quickly, pushed the chair away hurriedly, and carefully picked up the puppet.

"Aces? What are you doing?"

"It's fake." Joel, who was busy taking notes, passed by and explained casually, "It's just wood."

William didn’t understand, really didn’t understand.

He just said, why is it really... a fake person.

and many more!

Doesn't that mean...

From beginning to end, he was the only one who fought against those foxes here?

William looked at Joel in disbelief, trying to get an answer from him.

Joel moved his lips without emotion, "Congratulations, you guessed it right. Your dear son doesn't want to work and is probably dating now."

William: "..."

He knew that this son was born in vain.

However, Joel and William guessed wrong. Artes was not at Hogwarts because the person who could let him go to Hogwarts was Malfoy Manor.

I don't know if it was an appointment, but the Malfoy Manor also chose to hold a meeting in the afternoon.

But the content of the meeting was different.

Malfoy Manor.

Voldemort knocked on the table with cold eyes, waiting for a satisfactory answer from the Death Eaters below.

In the third position on the right, Lucius was hiding behind Bella, with his head lowered, a cold sweat on his forehead, his eyes wandering, and he didn't dare to look at the scene at all.

The other Death Eaters are like him. No one wants to be the leader. They have to be cowardly. There is no way they can break through Hogwarts in a short time. Isn't this embarrassing them?

No one spoke for a long time. Voldemort's face suddenly darkened and he began to name names. The first person to suffer was the headmaster of Hogwarts.

"Severus? Tell me."

"Master, the gap last time has been repaired. If you want to go in, I'm afraid..." Snape calmly stopped.

Voldemort looked at Mrs. Lovelace. Mrs. Lovelace nodded silently, indicating that Snape was not lying. However, Voldemort was suspicious by nature and still used Legilimency on the two of them, so he believed their words.

"What I want is a solution, not a problem." He touched Nagini's head, "Severus, you are now the principal of Hogwarts. How much do you know about those unknown secret passages?"

"Most of it."

"There are so many secret passages, but there is no secret passage that can directly enter Hogwarts?"

Voldemort's tone was cold, and his eyes were like quenched poison knives, slowly licking Snape's skin. Snape pursed his lips, knowing very well that if he couldn't give an answer, he would be the next person to feed the snake.

After thinking for a while, he considered it and said: "There is one in Hogsmeade Village, but no one has discovered it for a long time, and no one knows what's going on inside."

Voldemort thought quietly.

The viper only has one chance to kill with one fatal blow, and he must make sure nothing goes wrong.

"That passage..."

The skinny fingers tapped on the table, once or twice, hitting everyone's hearts.

"Lu, Xiu, Si."

Lucius's hanging heart finally died.

He forced a smile and raised his head, ignoring the gloating looks from all directions, and responded respectfully: "Master, I'm here."

"Want to see your son?" Voldemort asked lightly, as if he was talking about something insignificant.

Lucius's heart tightened and he defended calmly, "Narcissa and I are already preparing for pregnancy."

Voldemort was not satisfied with this answer, and his tone instantly turned cold, "I'll give you another chance, Lucius, I want to hear the truth."

Lucius: "..."

You don’t even want to show loyalty, how can you want to hear the truth? I want to hear words that fit my thoughts! It's so hard to take care of him. One day he will give up his burden!

Although he was bewildered in his heart, Lucius still maintained absolute respect on his face.

"Yes, Master, I want to see Draco."

The cold look on Voldemort's face suddenly disappeared, and he smiled and said to Lucius: "The secret passage mentioned by Severus may be able to fulfill your wish. Lucius, go and see your son."

"Yes." Lucius lowered his eyebrows and responded.

At the end of the meeting, a frowning Lucius quietly stopped Snape at the door. It was not too quiet. After all, they had an honest reason to meet.

Glancing at the nearby Death Eaters, Lucius deliberately kept his voice low and asked openly, "Where is the specific location of the secret passage?"

"In Hogsmeade Village, I have to go back to confirm the specific location." Snape looked at the time, walked faster, one step at a time, and nodded gently to Lucius, "I will inform you of the results. "

After that, he walked out.

As soon as he walked out of the manor, he felt a strong feeling of being watched from the left. He kept walking and looked in the direction of his sight without leaving any trace.

Behind the tree, there was no one.

As if everything was just his illusion.

But Snape knew otherwise.

This kind of gaze gave him an eerie sense of familiarity, as if this line of sight had been silently watching him countless times in corners he didn't know existed.

Snape was surprised and confused.

With his peripheral vision, he looked around anxiously, trying to find the source of his vision.

Behind the tree, no.

In the shadows, none.

In the maze, no.

Years of spy career have sharpened Snape's acuity. If he can't find anyone even when he is so serious, there are only two possibilities.

Either that person didn't exist, or that person disappeared out of thin air the moment he discovered him.

Neither possibility was very friendly to Snape.

After Lucius finished dealing with the Death Eaters, he came back and saw Snape still standing there. He came over curiously and said, "Severus, why don't you leave?"

Snape put aside his doubts and worries and casually brought up a topic to deal with him, "I'm waiting for you. What do you want me to tell Draco?"

Lucius was immediately moved.

If it weren't for Malfoy's need to maintain his elegance, he would have given Snape a warm hug.

But just because he doesn't need a hug doesn't mean he can't express his feelings in words.

"Severus, I have known you for so many years, but I didn't expect that you still have me in your heart."

"Speak humanly," Snape said without emotion, interrupting Lucius's upcoming tirade.

Lucius's face fell when he was interrupted as soon as he started, and he squeezed out a few words from the bottom of his heart, and then quickly said the words to explain to Draco under Snape's increasingly cold eyes.

"Okay, I've written it down."

Snape turned and walked away.
