HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 78 Crisis of Trust
"It's okay during the day. It would be nice if the professor in class pays more attention, but at night..."
Professor Flitwick didn't finish his sentence, but Arthas already understood what he meant.
"Do you mind if I tell your dean about this?"
Flitwick asked suddenly.
The reason why he asked this was because he had heard the tit-for-tat confrontation between Arthur and Snape last semester.
Aces shook his head, "I don't mind."
Flitwick relaxed slightly.
After all, Artes is a student of Slytherin. It is not good for him to directly take over. It is better to discuss with Severus where to send Artes.
Of course, it would be better if Severus was willing to watch him. With a potions master by his side, Asseth's safety would be more guaranteed.
Because the situation was urgent, Flitwick simply asked Arthur for leave from the next class, and then took him to the cellar.
Arriving at the cellar door, Flitwick raised his hand and knocked on the door. Soon, the door was opened.
Flitwick stepped inside.
"Oh, excuse me, Severus, but there's something you might need to know."
Snape looked up at Flitwick, and paused when his eyes swept over Arthas.
"what's up?"
Is this troll causing him trouble?
Flitwick looked at Snape's face and chose his words carefully. Artes was a good boy and he didn't want him to be scolded.
"It's like this. I was in class today and I noticed something was wrong with Asseth. I kept him for questioning after class, and then I found out that he might have magical riots."
"Magic riot?"
Snape's face suddenly turned ugly, and he remembered Artes' explanation last night.
"Yes, it's a magic riot. I asked him about it. He has had his magic power exhausted before."
"Depleted of magic power?"
Snape looked at Artes expressionlessly.
"Come here, hold out your hand."
Artes walked over obediently, and Flitwick opened his mouth, ready to persuade Snape not to be too angry.
Aces walked up to Snape and naturally extended his hand to Snape.
Snape didn't hesitate and took Ass's hand directly.
Under Flitwick's surprised gaze, he poured magic power into Asseth's body.
Wait, what are they doing?
The magic power traveled around in Asseth's body and was taken back again.
"When did this happen?"
Snape's face was so gloomy that he seemed to be dripping with water.
Aces understood what he meant and quickly explained.
"It didn't happen yesterday, it happened last semester..."
Wait, I spilled the beans.
Aces's heart felt cold. He managed to escape last semester, but now it was over.
Last semester?
Snape immediately remembered what happened on Halloween last semester, narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at Artes, and asked sternly.
"On Halloween?"
Asseth nodded helplessly, knowing that he couldn't hide it from the professor.
Flitwick looked a little confused as he watched the interaction between the two.
Who told him that the two of them were tit for tat, which was completely different.
But this was just right, so Severus wouldn't leave the child alone.
"That, Severus."
Flitwick spoke up, interrupting the confrontation between the two.
"I talked to Mr. Cavendish. It was fine during the day. There were professors from various subjects watching during class."
"But it's a bit too dangerous to leave him alone in the dormitory at night."
Snape's face looked a little ugly and his brows were furrowed.
Of course he understood what Flitwick meant, and he also knew how dangerous it would be to leave Arthas alone in the dormitory.
But letting him watch the troll at night?
Snape looked at Artes steadily, his face changing unpredictably.
He looked at it for so long that Flitwick was already considering whether to put Arthas into the school infirmary.
"He would stay in the cellar at night."
Snape suddenly spoke, his expression was grim and his voice was cold, but the content of his words made Flitwick almost scream.
Merlin, you know, he didn't have any expectations at the beginning. He even thought about where to send Artes after Snape refused.
"That's fine, that's fine."
Flitwick said happily.
It's great, this child seems to have some changes that he doesn't know about.
Professor Flitwick did not stay long. After Snape agreed, he turned and left the cellar, leaving Artes alone to face Snape's cold eyes.
Aces pursed his lips.
"Excuse me, Professor."
He seemed to be constantly bothering the professor.
Snape sneered and stared at Artes.
"It seems that Mr. Aces still doesn't want to explain to me, the professor he troubled me, what happened on Halloween last semester."
Why is the magic power depleted so much that even if you drink a magic potion that replenishes the magic power, it will still cause a magic riot.
Aces lowered his head and remained silent.
He understood that this was Snape's concern, but he really didn't know what to say or what to say.
He said he couldn't harm the professor.
Seeing Arthas's head lowered and unrepentant, Snape grimaced and pursed his lips.
Is this what he calls trust?
"good very good."
"I hope Mr. Cavendish can still be as tough-talking as he is when his magic power is rioting."
After saying that, he turned around and prepared to leave.
Snape's cold tone and changing names made Artes a little flustered, and he suddenly raised his head to look at Snape.
"professor!"
"I...I'm sorry, but this involves your safety, I can't say anything."
Snape's footsteps paused. His safety?
He laughed in anger, since when did he need a child to care about his safety.
Snape turned around, looked at the panicked Artes, and spoke expressionlessly.
"I don't think I'm weak enough to let you, a child, worry about my safety."
"Now, tell me what happened."
Aces knew that if he didn't tell Snape anything, their relationship would definitely fall to a freezing point.
Aces pondered for a moment, sorting out the thoughts in his mind, and then picked out what he could say.
"Professor, I know you are very powerful, but even if the probability is one in ten thousand, I will not gamble with your safety."
"So I can only tell the professor that I have a more difficult enemy to deal with. In order to deal with him, I used some methods."
"That's all I can really say, don't be angry, Professor."
After saying that, Asseth quietly raised his eyes to look at Snape's face.
Snape's face was still stern, but his slightly loose eyebrows let Artes know that he was no longer so angry.
Aces lowered his eyes to cover the emotions in his eyes, and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
