HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 62 Breaking the Curse

Artes was unaware of Snape's hesitation and worry.

When he was teleported home by the portkey, he fell weakly onto the living room.

The house elves busy around him all exclaimed and gathered around.

Seeing the miserable appearance of Asseth, she didn't dare to touch him casually.

"Young Master, what's wrong with you?"

"So much blood!"

"What should I do? The head of the house and his wife are not here."

"It's all Nina's fault. She can't save the young master."

The chaotic sounds restored Ass's chaotic sanity a little.

He reluctantly raised his hands to support himself, leaned against the wall and said to a few elves.

"stop fighting."

"Take me back to my bedroom, clean up the blood, and don't tell anyone."

After saying that, Asseth's hand dropped weakly.

The elves around him quickly sent him back to the bedroom while crying, and then came back to clean up the mess in the living room.

When Asseth returned to the bedroom, the first thing he did was to ask Nina to give him the Thunderbolt Elder Wand.

Nina sobbed and handed the wand to Asseth.

Aces took the wand and used several healing spells on his wounds, but the effect was minimal.

He frowned, this curse was a bit harsh.

Closing his eyes and feeling dizzy from excessive blood loss, Artes recalled the flow of magic when Snape cast the spell.

After several attempts, I managed to crack part of the counter-curse.

By waving the magic spell, the blood from the wound was stopped.

But this counterspell is incomplete.

So his bleeding stopped, but the wounds and pain kept increasing.

After using the counter-spell, Asseth couldn't hold on any longer.

He leaned against the bed, the wand slipped from his hand, and the severe pain made him lose consciousness.

"Master, Master."

A faint voice seemed to come from afar, piercing the darkness like a ray of light.

Aces opened his eyes drowsily.

It's Nina.

"What's wrong."

The hoarse voice frightened Nina into tears again.

She endured it again and again before saying:

"Master, Professor Snape is looking for you."

Hearing Snape's name, Artes managed to stand up.

"Send me to the living room and ask the professor to come in."

Nina nodded quickly, helped Asseth up, and sent him to the sofa in the living room.

The sofa was very soft, so it was difficult to exert force. Asseth leaned weakly on the sofa, swaying, and his body was still shaking uncontrollably.

He gritted his teeth and tried to suppress the tremors in his body.

Snape followed Nina into the living room, and the first thing he saw was Artes leaning on the sofa in a panic.

His pupils trembled slightly, and he quickly stepped forward to straighten Artes, and then carefully looked at Artes' condition.

His eyes swept across Asseth's pale face, he paused unconsciously, and then moved to his waist.

The wound was not bleeding, but bones and flesh and blood were still visible.

"Your wound?"

Snape frowned at Arthas, sure that he had never taught him countercurses.

"I just managed to stop the bleeding. If the professor doesn't use the counter-curse, I will really be in pain."

Aces held back the pain and joked lightly.

The professor can't be blamed this time, it's him who was too reckless.

From the look on Snape's face when he came in, he knew that he was blaming himself in his heart, so he was pretending to be fine now.

But his pale face and uncontrollable trembling body did not indicate that he could not hold on any longer.

Even though the bleeding from his wound had stopped, the wound continued to increase and the pain was severe.

He is now at the end of his strength.

Snape felt the slight tremor of the body under his hand.

Aces was in pain.

This realization made it almost impossible for Snape to maintain the calmness on his face.

Aces raised his hand weakly and untied the spell he had used.

In an instant, the blood that had been stopped was all over the sofa.

Blood flowed uncontrollably from Ass's abdomen and stained the snow-white sofa. White and red intertwined, bright and dangerous.

The bright red blood stung Snape's eyes, and he couldn't help but look away, but the next second, he forced himself to look directly at Artes.

Aces had passed the worst part of the pain, and now he still had the strength to observe Snape despite the pain.

Snape's brows were furrowed, his lips were pursed so tightly that they were almost in a straight line, and there was no trace of blood on his face.

Alas, Asseth couldn't help but sigh in his heart. He was obviously the one who was injured, so why did this man look worse than him.

Snape approached Artes, took out his wand from his sleeve, and pointed it at his waist.

Aces leaned back on the sofa, still being moved by Snape.

"Heal quickly, heal quickly."

The hideous wounds gradually healed amidst Snape's spells, and soon, the blood on the sofa disappeared.

Feeling the improvement of his wound, Asseth gathered his scattered robes and sat up straight.

At this time, Snape was very close to him because he was casting a spell. When he sat up straight, the bitter smell of Snape's medicine was on the tip of his nose.

Snape's posture had not changed since he came in, sitting stiffly on the sofa.

Feeling the tension from the people around him, Asseth spoke helplessly.

"Professor, I was reckless this time, don't think too much."

Hearing this, Snape subconsciously wanted to ridicule, but the look on Artes's face reminded him that he was the one who hurt the boy.

He wanted to apologize, but years of estrangement from others made him don't know how to speak.

He was always good at messing up things. After a long silence, he spoke dryly.

"I hope Mr. Cavendish will remember this lesson."

After saying the words, Snape felt a little regretful.

He didn't need to think about it to know how ironic it was for him, the person who had hurt the other party, to give such a lesson.

Aces didn't think much about it. He was originally wrong about this matter, and what the professor said was not wrong.

"I understand, Professor."

Snape breathed a sigh of relief at the gentle and obedient response, but couldn't help but turn his head to look at Artes.

Aces' eyes were clear and without any resentment. He looked at him quietly, like the moon hanging high in the night sky, gentle and tolerant.

He really wasn't angry, Snape realized.

Staring into Asseth's clear eyes, Snape wondered how this troll could be so innocent, stupid, and so kind.

Such qualities should not appear in an heir.

Snape closed his eyes and looked away.

Aces's sincere eyes made him want to escape for some reason. This was incredible to him.

But that's the fact. Asseth's glory can only make him feel even more despicable.

He is mean, selfish and cold, and has almost nothing to do with any beautiful words.

It was clear that he accidentally hurt Asseth, but he couldn't even apologize and even asked a child to relieve him.

He's really annoying, isn't he?

As his thoughts rolled around, Snape's eyes were empty and he unconsciously hid to the side, putting some distance between him and Artes.
