HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 500 Overcoming Fear
"boom--"
The teacup hit the table heavily, water rippled on the surface of the cup, and scalding tea poured out.
Everyone looked towards the place where the noise came from.
Artes wiped off the tea on the back of his hand and looked at Voldemort calmly, with some confusion in his eyes, "Tom, are you the one who pried me off in front of me?"
Voldemort and Artes looked at each other for a moment, then turned away first and looked at Lucius coldly.
"Lucius is my man, and I care about his children. Lucius, tell me, right?"
Facing Voldemort's frightening face, Lucius wanted to say that he didn't need to care about them. Such care was somewhat poisonous and would only harm them.
But if he dared to shame Voldemort in public, Voldemort would go crazy.
The victim of Voldemort's madness was either him or Severus, which was really not worth the loss.
"Of course there's nothing wrong with that." He replied respectfully.
Voldemort nodded with satisfaction.
Asseth also nodded with satisfaction, "If that's the case, then you should care, care well, but whether he answers or not depends on whether he is willing or not. You can't force him."
As expected, Voldemort began to care about all aspects of Draco's life, from asking how he was doing at school to why he didn't go home during the holidays.
Draco clenched his hands, feeling angry.
Family?
Is that still his home?
A home occupied by Death Eaters?
He suppressed the uneven question in his throat and lowered his head in silence. Anyway, his brother said it. He could answer if he wanted to. If he didn't want to answer, he didn't have to answer.
Voldemort, who didn't get an answer, became colder. He looked at Draco with eyes no different from those of a dead man, and his wand was exposed in his wide black robes.
Heavy pressure pressed on Draco's heart. He gritted his teeth and kept thinking of other things to divert his attention, trying to ignore Voldemort's cold gaze.
Lucius was worried about his son, and there was a thin layer of sweat on his palms. The cold sweat was still overflowing, and he couldn't help but glance at Asseth.
The other three people were not Lucius as the person involved, and they could better understand Asses' intentions, and they all watched the development of the matter quietly.
The box was quiet for nearly two minutes.
Aces started to answer Voldemort's questions. Of course, only he knew how true or false his words were.
After answering one by one, he poured oil on Voldemort's anger with a smile.
"I'm Brother Draco. I'll answer the question for him. Is there anything wrong?"
"No." Voldemort replied coldly, "But... I hope that your brother can always be by his side to answer his questions."
Threat?
The thing he fears least is threats.
Aces's smile remained unchanged, "I will."
"when--"
The second half of the auction begins with a countdown.
Arces arrived just in time. With a gentle smile, Asseth handed over the album of the second half of the auction items, and his fingertips seemed to have accidentally pressed on the key to eternal life.
"Tom, I hope the galleons you brought can successfully capture what you want."
Voldemort looked at the inconspicuous stone on the album and spat out three words through his teeth.
"I will."
"Really?" Asseth was noncommittal, patted Draco's shoulder and pulled him up, "Let's go, we should go back."
When he reached the door, he turned back.
"By the way, I almost forgot to tell you that for all the guests who successfully bid on the auction items, the auction house will arrange for someone to escort them and the auction items home, and the escort for the auction item No. 22 happens to be me."
Auction item No. 22 is the key to eternal life.
"A coincidence, Tom?"
With the last words left, Asseth took Draco and walked away without paying any attention to Voldemort's darkened face.
Returning to Box 1, Draco took a few steps and collapsed on the sofa, eyes wide open.
He ignored the concerns of Anna and Susanna surrounding him, and all he could think about was that he had ignored Voldemort, and ignored him for two minutes.
Merlin! He's out.
"Son, what happened to Draco? Why don't you say anything?"
Seeing that she couldn't get an answer from Draco, Anna came over to ask Asseth.
Aces explained a few words, and Anna suddenly realized, "So he just found it too exciting?"
"Is this irritating? I... No, I didn't scold him. It was Artes who scolded him. He also scolded Voldemort for having an ugly bald face. Is this irritating?"
Suzanne came over and interjected.
After hearing Susanna's words, Anna and the confused Draco looked at Artes at the same time.
"Son, it seems you haven't scolded him enough. He actually dares to come out to meet people."
"Brother, you actually know how to curse?"
Anna was so stunned that she didn't care about teaching Artes to curse, and quickly came to Draco, ready to personally help Draco break his filter on Artes.
Don't let this stupid boy help him count the money when he is sold by Asseth.
But then again, there aren’t many children who are that simple and innocent anymore, they are a rare species.
Anna patted Draco's head lovingly.
"Godmother, what are you going to say?" Draco wondered, "What's wrong with my brother?"
"Your brother... forget it, tell me how it feels to face Voldemort and how you feel now."
Anna still couldn't bear to break her godson's innocence.
Anyway, there were so many of them, and as long as they lived for one day, Draco could do whatever he wanted, and it didn't matter whether he was stupid or not.
She rubbed Draco's head lovingly again.
Apart from anything else, she is a good and obedient godson who is really easy to move around. Her hair is so soft that anyone who touches her feels soft in her heart.
"I forgot what I felt at that time. I just felt that time passed very slowly. Now... my whole body feels weak and I feel scared."
Draco slowly analyzed his feelings and told Anna one by one.
"You're afraid of him."
"Yes, I'm afraid of him."
Draco pursed his lips, waiting for Anna's criticism.
"I can't blame you. Anyone who faces a madman who takes pleasure in killing people will feel scared. I believe you will slowly overcome your fear of him, right?"
Anna hugged Draco tenderly, patting his back soothingly to dispel his fear.
He was not criticized and received a warm hug. Draco's ears turned a little red and he said "hmm" in embarrassment.
"Good boy."
Susanna, who was talking to Asseth, saw this scene and moved over aggrievedly.
"Sister, I have overcome my fear and beat the shit out of Voldemort that day. Do you want to hug me too?"
Anna glared at Susanna, "Are you still young? Come here to join in the fun."
Susanna pursed her lips and stared at Draco resentfully.
Draco was embarrassed by her and reluctantly withdrew from Anna's arms.
"Godmother, I will definitely do it."
The sparkling eyes were no less impressive than the platinum hair. Anna nodded.
"I believe you."
