HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 455 Visiting Cedric

St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Magical Injuries.

On the third floor, there was the only hospital bed in the center of the bright and clean ward. Cedric was lying on it with his eyes closed and a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.

Mr. and Mrs. Diggory wiped the cold sweat from his head distressedly, especially Mrs. Diggory, who still had tears in her eyes.

Aces walked up to the third floor and stopped three steps away from the door of the ward. He raised his hand and knocked on the door regularly.

"Tuk-tuk-tuk"

Mrs. Digory stopped wiping Cedric's cold sweat and looked at Digory.

"Go and open the door." Mrs. Diggory said to Diggory, continuing to wipe Cedric's face with her hands. "Maybe it's the professor who saved Cedric."

Digory wiped his hands on his clothes, wiped his face again, and smoothed his messy hair until it was barely visible before he opened the door with a smile.

The door opened.

Seeing clearly that the person outside the door was indeed Asseth, Digory's smile became more sincere.

He wiped his hand again and stretched it out awkwardly, "Thank you really this time, Professor Cavendish, thank you for saving Cedric."

In the end, the hand still failed to hold.

Asseth's figure was slender and straight, and he looked extremely noble just standing there. With the blessing of his savior's halo, Digory was really embarrassed to taint Asseth with his hands that had not been washed all day and night.

"Come in first, Cedric just couldn't hold it anymore and fell asleep. He has been waiting all day and night."

Diggory didn't actually mean any accusation when he said this, he just wanted to let Asses know that Cedric was waiting for him.

But after a day and a night of sleepless nights, my brain was confused and my words were not as fast as my words, so the meaning behind my words changed.

Realizing that there was a hint of accusation in his words, Digory quickly braked.

"That...that's not what I meant."

Aces smiled apologetically at Digory, "It doesn't matter. It's true that I came late. I don't blame you."

Diggory felt even more guilty.

After Mrs. Digory finished wiping Cedric's sweat, she rolled her eyes at Digory with disgust, pushed him away and stood in front of Asseth.

"Hello, Professor Cavendish, thank you so much for saving Cedric. Don't take those words to heart. My husband didn't mean that. He just didn't sleep enough and his brain was not very clear. He was dizzy."

Mrs. Digory has a rather small round face, a friendly and gentle smile, but she is extremely sharp when doing things and speaking, and she can explain the reasons clearly in a few sentences.

"Hello, Mrs. Diggory."

Aces nodded politely to her, and then looked at Cedric, who was sleeping restlessly on the bed.

"Let me wake him up. He has been talking about you for a long time. He must be very happy to see you here."

Mrs. Diggory was always observing Cedric's savior. When she saw this, she took two steps forward without hesitation and called softly into Cedric's ear.

"Cedric? Wake up, the professor you were waiting for is here, don't you want to see him?"

At his mother's gentle call, Cedric's eyelashes fluttered slightly and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Mother, what's wrong?"

"Baby look who this is."

Mrs. Diggory smiled and stepped aside, revealing Asseth behind her.

"A-Athes!" Cedric's eyes widened and he struggled to sit up.

Diggory and Mrs. Diggory quickly supported him, helped him sit up, and put a soft pillow behind his waist for him to lean on.

Aces took a few steps forward and stopped in front of Cedric, "It's me, what do you want from me?"

"Are you okay? Are you injured? Have you been checked? Why don't you go check it out now?"

Cedric lost the meekness of the little badger before and asked several questions in a hurry.

There was a hint of helplessness in Asces's smile.

"I was not hit by the life-killing curse. You are wrong. The life-killing curse was blocked by the alchemy tools on my body and did not hurt me. Thank you for your concern."

Cedric frowned, "But I did see it at that time. The light hit your body, and when you picked me up later, your hands were shaking. Although I was unconscious at the time, I could still feel it."

"That's not because of the Death Curse, don't worry."

Aces explained casually and had no intention of continuing to speak. He sat on the bedside and listened quietly to Cedric.

Cedric's injury was not healed, and after a while his eyelids began to droop again. He opened his eyes with all his strength, and forced himself to look at Artes.

"If you're tired, take a nap first."

The Diggory couple left the ward after Cedric woke up. They didn't know where they were going, so Asseth had to take out the pillow from behind Cedric's waist and help him lie down.

After Cedric lay down, he held onto Asseth's arm, "Are you really okay?"

"It's okay, close your eyes."

Cedric looked at Artes and slowly closed his eyes, still holding on to Artes.

“Withered trees come spring.”

Aces chanted a spell softly, and silvery white light flowed down his arms to Cedric, and his pale complexion suddenly softened a lot.

His spirit felt as if he had been soaked in warm water, and Cedric fell asleep without holding on. Artes checked his current situation.

"You can almost be discharged from the hospital after this time."

He whispered to himself, gently pulling his arm out of Cedric's grasp.

When the Digories didn't come back, Artes couldn't bear to leave Cedric alone in the ward, so he stood in front of the bed, waiting for the Digories.

About ten minutes later, Mr. and Mrs. Diggory came back. They seemed to have gone to take care of themselves. When they came back, they looked much more energetic and had changed their clothes.

As soon as Mrs. Digory walked in, she saw Asseth standing by himself, and her son was sleeping unconsciously on the hospital bed. She hurriedly took two steps and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Cedric sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed. .

"He fell asleep." Asseth explained, "Then I will go back first."

I don't know why, but since he came to St. Mungo's, his heart has been beating fast, and he also has an unknown premonition.

The last time I had this kind of premonition was the time when I was being hunted, so why was it this time?

Aces went through the people and things that could affect him so much in his mind. There were just a few people, and the one closest to him was Snape.

The thought made him more anxious.

"Ah, okay, it's inconvenient for Cedric to be hospitalized right now. When he is discharged, we and I will visit him personally to say thank you. Professor Cavendish, please don't refuse. Cedric is our only child."

Mrs. Diggory was attentive and saw a little anxiety in Asseth, so she didn't try to keep Asses too much.

Aces nodded to them and quickly left the St. Mungo's ward.
