HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 434: During the game (Part )
Snape looked at Arthas.
When the eyes met, the caution and worry hidden deep in the dark eyes were exposed by the owner's frankness, and it was particularly dazzling.
He turned his eyes and tugged at his lips with a sneer, "If you want to go, just go. It has nothing to do with me and you don't need to tell me."
"How come it doesn't matter?"
Asseth did not move, but leaned on the back of his chair and analyzed slowly.
"The person manipulating Krum is most likely Barty Crouch Jr. His purpose of trying so hard to sneak into Hogwarts is probably in the maze."
Artes knew that Barty Crouch Jr.'s purpose was to resurrect Voldemort.
Combined with his series of private actions to help Harry compete, it is not difficult to deduce that his target is Harry.
There was just one question that Artes had never figured out - why did Barty Crouch Jr. make things so troublesome, and why he specifically chose today to implement his plan in front of everyone and expose himself.
To put it bluntly, what's the difference between slapping Dumbledore and grabbing his candy in front of everyone?
Or is it that the master and the servant regard Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of this century, as a decoration that cannot move or get angry?
Sure enough, dividing the soul affects the brain.
Aces complained secretly in his heart.
"You mean his goal is that Potter?"
Snape guessed the answer immediately after being pointed out by Artes, and his expression turned ugly.
"Impossible, how did he do it?"
Snape did not doubt the accuracy of Arthur's words, but it was not enough for Barty Crouch Jr. to break into Hogwarts under Dumbledore's nose. He also had to break into the game to target the Savior.
This is really outrageous.
"Yes or no, we will know the answer soon." Artes stood up slowly and left the stands behind Snape.
On the other side, the voices of Cedric and Krum attracted Harry who was not far away.
Seizing the opportunity to continue casting the spell due to the external sound, Cedric quickly raised his wand to fight back.
"Except your weapons!"
The red light mixed with anger knocked away the wand in Krum's hand, and his wrist suffered a violent impact. It made a crisp sound and then became weak.
Krum lost his wand and stood still while Cedric continued to cast the second spell.
"Collapse!"
Krum fell to the ground.
Cedric's heart dropped. He sat up and climbed up with the help of hay. Although he was a little embarrassed, his movements were still steady. Krum's Cruciatus Curse was not powerful, and it was not so uncomfortable after the force passed.
"Cedric?"
Harry opened up the layers of thorn branches and struggled to get out. There was a big hole in his clothes, and there were messy leaves hanging on his hair and clothes.
"Are you ok?"
Cedric panted and moved closer to Harry, away from the unconscious Krum on the ground.
"He actually dared to use the three unforgivable curses in the game. He's crazy!"
"How is that possible?" Harry asked in surprise. Seeing that Cedric was shaking a little, he quickly stepped forward to help him, "Are you okay?"
"Fortunately."
Cedric used Harry's strength to stand still, and went with Harry to see Krum who was unconscious on the ground.
"He suddenly attacked me, so there are two possibilities for that scream just now...Did Fleur meet him or a monster from the maze?"
The two looked at each other with the same worry in their eyes.
Harry frowned, "With Professor McGonagall and the others here, nothing will happen to Fleur, right?"
"I don't know." Cedric shook his head and asked, "Should we just let him lie here? This is not far from where I met the monster. He is likely to be attacked here."
Harry thought for a moment and suddenly looked at the alchemy badge on Cedric's left chest.
"It doesn't matter. With this badge here, the outside should know what happened and that he is unconscious. Someone should come in and take him away soon."
Cedric had no objection and just picked up his wand and applied a stun spell on Krum to prevent him from waking up before the professor found him.
"We should go."
Harry was in a daze and suddenly came back to his senses when he heard Cedric's words, "Huh? Oh yes, we should go."
Cedric looked at him doubtfully, but said nothing and left in a random direction.
Harry watched Cedric's figure plunge into the darkness. He was in a daze because something suddenly occurred to him.
Now excluding Fleur, who screamed that something was wrong, and Krum, who attacked Cedric but was knocked unconscious, they were the only ones who could continue the game.
If he hadn't appeared just now to divert Krum's attention and allow Cedric to seize the opportunity to counterattack, both Krum who violated the rules and Cedric who was attacked would be eliminated, and he would naturally become the champion.
But this was obviously wrong, it went too smoothly, as if... as if someone was secretly helping him win the championship.
Harry's expression became serious, and his eyes scanned the surroundings suspiciously. Except for the shadows of swaying leaves, he found nothing unusual.
He temporarily suppressed the confusion in his heart, took one last look at the unconscious Krum, and walked in the opposite direction of Cedric.
After both of them left, Asseth appeared next to Krum silently, holding a pocket watch.
The wand in his hand fell lightly on the alchemy badge, and when he raised it, he drew out a line of white smoke.
The smoke drifted to the pocket watch and turned into a blurry picture.
In the picture, Krum should have come to a dead end. The tall hedge completely blocked his sight. He paused at the hedge for a while before turning around and leaving.
There seemed to be no problem with the scene inside. The weak light came on and off, but from then on Krum's walking movements became much lighter.
"Sneak attack from behind, little Barty is quite capable."
Artes threw the white smoke aside in disgust and glanced at the direction of Harry and Cedric in his pocket watch.
They had taken completely opposite paths just now, but now they were going in the same direction.
Aces didn't want to expose himself, so he didn't follow either of the two people and went straight to the location of the trophy he had figured out before.
While identifying the direction, he paid attention to the positions of Cedric and Harry. A few minutes passed and he saw the trophy placed on the high platform.
He walked over and took a look at it, but didn't take action because he already knew what it was.
"Portkey."
The voice of talking to himself was blown away by the wind, and when he looked again, the tall figure was no longer visible where the trophy was.
Harry felt that he was so unlucky today. He finally solved the mystery and was about to win, but Cedric arrived in front of the trophy before him.
But that's fine, since the champions all belong to Hogwarts anyway, so it's good that he can get here.
Harry, who had convinced himself, no longer felt any regrets and stood there waiting for Cedric to get the trophy.
But accidents and changes often happen in an instant.
Suddenly, Cedric, who was running fast, felt a chill coming from his left side. Without hesitation, he turned his body and ran towards the right.
