HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 29 Conversation in 3 Sentences

Hearing the anger in Snape's words, Dumbledore met Snape's eyes searchingly.

"You to that kid?"

Snape did not flinch and looked directly into Dumbledore's eyes.

"Huh, except for Potter, I don't pay attention to the life and death of other annoying trolls. It's just that he is very talented in potions."

Speaking of this, Snape's eyes seemed to light up a little.

"And, if you weren't blinded by dessert, you would remember that he is a Slytherin student, and I am the Head of Slytherin."

After saying the last words, Snape turned around and left regardless of Dumbledore's expression.

Dumbledore was helpless, why was he so inconsiderate of the elderly.

"I just wish you could keep an eye on Mr Cavendish, he's still young and I'm worried Tom will come back and find him."

"None of us know what means he will use to return, so we can only remain vigilant."

Snape paused as he left, without responding, and then left again.

But Dumbledore knew, and he agreed.

Snape left the headmaster's office and walked quickly back to the cellar, still thinking about the meaning behind Dumbledore's actions.

It didn't matter to him, but now that it involved that stupid troll, he had to pay attention.

Because he knew that Dumbledore actually never trusted him.

Thinking of this, he laughed to himself, not believing that he was right. After all, he was a sinful Death Eater, wasn't he?

It's just that the giant monster's potion talent is rare. He is already like this anyway. There is no difference between protecting one and protecting two. If you can, just protect him.

Thinking of something, Snape's eyes became hollow, and he was surrounded by heavy sadness and guilt.

Even the arc of the corner of his robe was slightly unhappy.

In a secret corner not far away, Asseth stood there silently watching Snape's back, feeling strange.

Professor, what's going on?

It's not right to watch for so long without noticing.

Aces was confused.

Snape's dark and silent figure gradually faded away, entering the dark potions classroom.

When the corner of the black robe disappeared from Arthur's eyes, he felt inexplicably that the Snape who just walked past was just an empty shell.

What a strange and ridiculous illusion. How could a living person be an empty shell?

Aces shook his head, shaking off the absurd thoughts from his mind.

Then continue to stand there and wait quietly.

He showed up today to squat Carter's.

Because if Carter had a Horcrux around him, it would be inconvenient for him to have direct contact with it.

Presumably Carter himself knew it, so he had only given vague hints before.

After waiting for a long time, Carter belatedly appeared in the corridor.

Little Snake, a third-year student, has their Headmaster's Potions class today.

Aces believed that with Snape's keen sense, he would not be able to detect a Horcrux if it appeared in his class, so he chose to guard Carter in front of Potions class.

Carter was not too surprised when he saw Asseth, he seemed to have expected it.

"I don't have much time."

"Three sentences."

Carter heard this and looked deeply at Asseth, "Okay."

"What is he now?"

"Ravenclaw's diadem."

"Do you want to survive?"

Carter did not immediately answer Asseth's question. He looked at Asseth and asked softly: "Can I still survive?"

Aces smiled, which was different from the gentle smile of the past. He smiled openly and wantonly, with bright eyes.

"Of course, if you want."

A long time later, Carter could not forget Asses today, his every word or word, and the high-spirited look on his face when he spoke.

"think."

Carter wants to live, but he hasn't lived enough yet, and his family still needs him.

The desire for life on Carter's face was unabashedly displayed in front of Asseth.

Aces was in a daze for no reason, and another person's face appeared in his mind.

He seemed to have never seen such desire on that person's face.

Suppress the imagination in your mind, now is not the time to think about this.

"Okay, then I need you to do me a favor."

Carter listened to Asseth's words and agreed without hesitation.

After Carter left, Artes stood there for a long time, hesitating again and again, and finally followed the path Carter had taken to the potions classroom.

In the Potions classroom, Snape's taunts and the sound of casting spells could be heard.

Artes did not go in. He stood quietly at the door, watching Snape spray venom through the gap.

After seeing the desire for life on Carter's face just now, he finally understood why he had thought that Snape was an empty shell.

Because he couldn't see Snape's desire for life at all, nor his expectations for the future.

In other words, he has no desire to live. It seemed to him that he was living one day at a time and didn't care whether he would die or not.

Aces' eyes were complicated. He didn't know what the spy did in that battle, but he could probably guess how dangerous it was.

Being a spy is nothing more than coping and struggling amid misunderstandings and insults.

Speaking of which, this kind of silent giving was really not something Snape could do.

Aces thought.

But the word spy is surprisingly suitable for Snape.

A person who doesn't care about death, a person who lives alone all the year round, a person who speaks unpleasantly and is not liked, is really a perfect candidate for a spy.

Dumbledore is really good at choosing, Artes let out a sigh.

He turned slightly to avoid Snape's sight in the classroom.

I just don't know how Dumbledore could make a Slytherin willing to do such a dangerous and useless thing.

You must know that seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages is a Slytherin trait, Artes kept guessing.

While thinking, his fingers unconsciously rubbed together and touched the alchemy product in his pocket that detects black magic.

Aces was stunned for a moment, closed his eyes to calm down the fluctuations in his heart, and sighed. He shouldn't interfere too much.

Looking up at Snape for the last time, Artes turned and left without any hesitation.

In the classroom, Snape was keenly aware of the sight of the door, but when he turned his head to look over, there was no one there.

He frowned, who was it just now?

That strange sight made him feel uncomfortable and offended.

Who is it?
