HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 28 Confrontation

"Please, tell me."

Elise looked at Asseth pleadingly.

Aces shook his head.

"It's not that I don't want to say it, but with your current strength, let me tell you, what can you do?"

"If you want to know, just go and find it yourself. You can always find the answer."

Assei paused, looking at the necklace around Elise's neck, as if pointing.

"This necklace is the best proof."

Before Elise could ask further questions, Asseth turned and left.

After Asseth left, Elise stood at the observatory, unable to regain consciousness for a long time.

Her eyes were confused. What did Asseth mean by this, that she was also loved by her mother? The mother who left her and her father behind loved her?

Asses felt it secretly as he left and breathed a sigh of relief.

If you didn’t follow me, you probably believed it.

After making sure that no one was following him, Asses walked towards the dormitory with confidence.

The dim candlelight shone on Asseth's body. Behind him was the lonely astronomical tower and the dim starry sky, and he walked step by step towards the place with light.

In the darkness of the astronomy tower, a figure sighed.

The moonlight shone over, revealing the visitor to be Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of our time.

Dumbledore stood in the corner and looked guiltily at Elise who was standing by the window.

Why doesn't he know about her? He had promised her father to take care of her, but he really didn't have the time or energy to help her or take care of her now.

Now she can only hope that Hogwarts can provide her with a safe haven for the time being.

Dumbledore left shortly after Arthas left.

He came here originally to observe Asseth. He spent the whole night with Asseth tonight, and he was always there from the Room of Requirement to the Astronomy Tower.

What he discovered tonight made him very happy. Asses had the trust of his friends and the love of his parents, and he also loved his parents and his friends.

Dumbledore was grateful for the fact that he had love and understood love.

Don't blame him for being so cautious, Aces is too good, even better than Tom back then.

The worries he once told Severus were true, because the wizarding world could no longer afford a second Voldemort, and he didn't dare to gamble.

Dumbledore walked alone in the corridor, going in the opposite direction to Artes. He walked step by step into the dark shadows, his back showing indescribable sadness and exhaustion.

He is old and it is long past time for him to go to the kingdom of death. He was too tired. Since that year, he has been unable to let himself go.

For so many years, he lived with guilt.

He had long wanted to rest, but he just couldn't let go of Hogwarts and that person, that unspeakable person.

No one knows about the silent confrontation at night, just like no one knows how unforgettable the midsummer of that year was.

The next day, Asseth did not take the twins with him, and came to the Room of Requirement alone, avoiding everyone.

This morning the Geminis told him that they found out that there is a magical room on the eighth floor called the Room of Requirement. It is said that the Room of Requirement will satisfy whatever you want.

Aces sneered, alchemy pays attention to equal exchange, and as an alchemist, he naturally knows that nothing can be obtained for free, and the Room of Requirement is definitely not omnipotent.

The eighth floor is close to the principal's office, and usually no one comes there. He deliberately staggered Carter's time to avoid being exposed.

Aces walked back and forth three times facing the wall opposite the tapestry, thinking to himself, I need a room where Carter has been, I need a room where Carter has been.

A door slowly appeared on the wall. Asseth clenched his wand and walked in carefully.

Inside is a large and empty room with only two books placed there.

Asseth threw two spells for detecting black magic and picked them up after confirming that there were no problems.

A cautious little snake is not a reckless lion.

Both books are about black magic, one of which is called "Dark Magic Mastery".

Asseth opened it casually, and one of the pages was folded.

When he saw a certain word, his eyes narrowed and he quickly checked it carefully. It tells about a book "Advanced Black Magic Revealed", a nearly lost black magic book, which contains many lost black magic including Horcruxes.

Horcrux!

It was right, why Carter suddenly changed, and what he had never figured out before, why Voldemort was alive and could even kill Dumbledore.

It turned out to be the case.

Aces rubbed his temples helplessly. If it weren't for the particularity of the prophecy that he couldn't remember the process at all and could only see a rough result, and even the result was very vague, he wouldn't be clueless.

Artes knew about Horcruxes, or every pure-blood alchemist should know something about Horcruxes to some extent.

This is a crazy idea with obvious disadvantages, soul damage.

Did he think no one would try to make a Horcrux?

I didn't expect Voldemort to be so heartbroken and crazy. An opponent who had no reason didn't know whether it was good or bad.

Aces lowered his eyes and thought. If he wanted to save Dumbledore, he would inevitably face Voldemort.

It seems that we need to make plans as soon as possible. As a qualified Slytherin, Artes never fights unprepared.

After making a plan, Asseth carefully read both books in his hand to make sure there were no omissions, then put the books back where they were, turned around and left the Room of Requirement.

In the principal's room, Dumbledore was eating lemon sorbet with a smile on his face, his face full of contentment.

Suddenly there was a burst of flame in the fireplace, and a black-faced Snape appeared in the headmaster's office swinging his black robes.

He looked at Dumbledore fiercely and said, "What makes our great headmaster summon his busy and overworked Potions Professor to see him?"

"If there is no good reason, then the broken pot of potion will be the fate of his future teeth-healthy potion."

Even when facing the principal, the Snake King will not restrain his fangs.

Dumbledore shook his head and winked at Snape.

"Severus, I accidentally ran into Mr. Cavendish in the Astronomy Tower last night."

Hearing this, Snape's face turned darker and darker. This stupid troll dared to swim at night. Humph, it seemed that he was still too busy.

"So what do you want to do? Dumbledore, are you still doubting him?"

"I don't want to do anything, and I don't doubt him anymore. I just want to ask you a favor, Severus."

Snape's face was full of sneer. He thought the suspicious old bee had changed his gender?

After hearing this, Snape's face turned even darker. He knew that this damn old bee was going to cause trouble for him.

But this is not the point now. Snape narrowed his eyes and said word by word.

"You want to drag him into this whirlpool?" The long tail tone showed the owner's anger.
