HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 219 Lockhart is stupid

"I knew that Potter would never learn to use his brain, and would always be so stupid, arrogant, and overestimated! Just like his arrogant father."

After receiving the message from Dumbledore's Patronus, Snape stood up and cursed angrily, his black robes drawing sharp arcs.

"And this damn old bee, who indulges his stupid boy every day and then troubles me, a busy Potions Master."

He hurried out of the cellar and grabbed Fox who was waiting there.

Flames rolled, and Fawkes and Snape disappeared in front of the cellar door.

When they reappeared, they were in a place even more gloomy than the cellar.

Snape knew that this was the secret room. He glanced around the surroundings and strode towards the three people who were lying on the ground, not knowing whether they were alive or dead.

The wand was waved, and a lot of checking spells hit the three of them.

The result of the curse feedback was unexpected. Snape raised his eyebrows in surprise and subconsciously looked around.

But there was no one around as he expected.

He breathed a sigh of relief, and just as he was about to take his eyes back, he saw a reflective object on the ground not far away.

His brows suddenly tightened, and then relaxed again after a moment.

Snape didn't think Artes would make such a stupid mistake. Since the thing was left behind, it meant there was a reason for it.

He withdrew his gaze, waved his wand to levitate the three people underground, and turned towards Fox.

Passing around the corner, Snape's career as a walker suffered a setback - he stepped on a floor that felt strange to his feet and almost fell.

He looked down and used the dim light to see Lockhart lying unconscious on the ground.

The workload increased again, and the Potion Master's face became even more ugly.

Reluctantly, he waved his wand to check Lockhart, and the results he got this time surprised him even more.

He waved his wand again and got the same response as last time.

Now Snape was no longer angry, and quickly floated the person up towards Fawkes.

Fawkes flapped his wings and grabbed Snape's shoulders, sending the five of them to the school infirmary.

In the school infirmary, Madam Pomfrey carefully arranged the instruments and potions, humming a small tune in her mouth, a picture of peaceful times.

The scene was soon broken by the sudden appearance of a group of people.

Four of the five people who appeared out of thin air were still unconscious.

Madam Pomfrey's face turned dark like the Potions Master who was forced to work overtime.

"Severus, what's going on?"

She wiped her hands on her waist and rushed forward to meet him.

Snape placed the four people on the hospital bed and sneered.

"I found them in the secret room. The secret room was in a mess. Maybe our great savior was trying to show his specialness and went on an adventure because he had no brains?"

Madam Pomfrey gave Snape a disapproving look, "Severus, don't say that."

Snape snorted, but did not continue to mock.

"Let me see."

Madam Pomfrey carefully examined the unconscious children, with a little surprise on her face.

"They don't seem to have any injuries? They're just scratches."

Snape pursed his lips, remembering what he saw in the Chamber of Secrets again, "What good luck, isn't it?"

And a certain item that he was thinking about was getting brighter and brighter in the empty secret room.

The dazzling light suddenly shattered and swept through the entire secret room. Dust flew like snow, and a particularly dark dust completely wiped out the air.

Aces did do it on purpose. For cautious people like Dumbledore and Voldemort, he could only be more cautious than them.

Not only did he ensure that Voldemort was dead, but he also wiped away all traces of himself.

After listening to Snape's words, Madam Pomfrey shook her head and made no comment on the matter.

"Okay, then let me look at Professor Lockhart and hope he is as lucky."

Snape showed little interest in Harry and others. When Madam Pomfrey checked them, he just looked at them lazily, not even bothering to raise his eyelids.

But now Madam Pomfrey went to check on Lockhart. He seemed to have seen something interesting and slowly moved over to watch.

Madam Pomfrey was very surprised by this.

She had the impression that Snape did not like Lockhart, and Snape was not someone who would care about Lockhart.

This abnormality caused her to look at Snape frequently while examining Lockhart.

When the test results came out, she finally knew why Snape was acting strangely.

"Merlin! Is there something wrong with my test results? Why did he...?"

Madam Pomfrey doubted her own examination for the first time.

Snape's mouth curled up a little, and he said with fake sympathy:

"I think the test results are not wrong. Our Professor Lockhart, as he wished, his brain has become a useless... decoration."

By the end, Snape didn't bother to hide his gloating.

Madam Pomfrey glanced at him helplessly, "What should we do now? This should be the Forgetting Curse. I can't cure him."

"I think I should ask our principal this question. I'm just a potions professor."

Snape didn't have time to take care of so much. He was only responsible for sending people here. If he didn't want to watch Lockhart's show, he wouldn't stay.

Now that the show was over, the satisfied Potions Master shook his black robe and left the school infirmary.

As for the rest, it has nothing to do with him as the Potions Professor.

The big bat was in a good mood and walked very quickly, and seeing the Gryffindor lion didn't affect his good mood.

This good mood only lasted until the next day.

The crisis in the Chamber of Secrets was resolved, and Dumbledore, who had been taken away, was released.

The first thing he did when he came back was to ask the three people who had just woken up what happened in the secret room.

The second thing was that he took Snape to the Chamber of Secrets.

In the secret room, Snape's face was so gloomy that he seemed to be dripping with water.

"I remember telling you that I was busy."

Dumbledore's eyes hidden behind his lenses scanned the entire secret room, not missing any place, but still found nothing.

"Oh, Severus, young people should be more busy, otherwise they won't be able to be busy when they are my age."

He said with a smile, but a hint of caution quickly flashed in his eyes.

"Severus, what do you think about this?"

"I don't think it has anything to do with me."

"Of course, it's just Severus, Harry told me there was supposed to be a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets."

Basilisk?

Information about this creature quickly appeared in Snape's mind, and his face became serious.

"I only saw four of them when I came here."

The old man sighed: "Fox told me, Severus, this matter is out of my control."

"Your control? Oh, what is your control? Let Potter face the basilisk and then kill it and become the hero of Hogwarts?"

"Severus, are you worried about that boy?"

"Worried about him?"

Snape's voice grew louder.

"Why should I worry about him, who, like his stupid and conceited father, doesn't care about the consequences. Why should I worry about a man like this?"
