HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 104 Exchanging Christmas Gifts
After a while, the door was opened.
Snape came out with the potion.
He first glanced at Asseth standing at the door, then walked to the potion cabinet and put the potions in his hands.
"What makes the wealthy Mr. Asses condescend to come to this humble cellar?"
Snape turned around, crossed his arms, and looked at Asseth.
"Rich and wealthy? Professor, are you referring to the special fund for potions?"
"It's not that I'm rich, it's that my father is rich."
Then, Asseth pointed to the gift on the table.
"I'm here to be Santa Claus, don't you look forward to it, Professor?"
Snape glanced at the wrapped gifts on the table.
He was indeed looking forward to it, but he didn't want to show it in front of Asseth, so he snorted softly.
"Since when did Mr. Aces work part-time as Santa Claus? It seems that his Dumbledore is more like Santa Claus than him."
"Perhaps he could smash down enough Galleons to have idle Headmaster Dumbledore play Santa Claus for him?"
The suggestion in Snape's words made Artes' eyes light up.
Then he thought of Dumbledore's sweet taste. After pondering for a moment, he regretfully gave up the idea.
"Professor, don't tell me. Principal Dumbledore does look a lot like Santa Claus. Maybe we can try the professor's idea next time, but forget it this time."
"I've been here since I came, and I'm determined to be Santa Claus."
Hearing this, Snape raised his eyebrows and looked at the bucket in the corner.
"Since Mr. Aces still has time to moonlight as Santa Claus, let's go deal with the slugs over there."
Didn't he come here to give gifts?
Why did you end up looking for a job?
Aces reluctantly took off his school uniform, rolled up his sleeves, walked to the corner, and then put on his gloves skillfully.
"Professor, go and open the gifts. I'll just take care of it here."
Snape had no intention of being polite to him. He walked to the table and picked up the beautifully wrapped gift.
Before opening the gifts, he waved his wand and the fireplace burned brighter.
When the gift was opened and only a corner was exposed, Snape knew what it was.
He couldn't wait to speed up and carefully pulled out the books inside.
"Where did you find this book?"
"I don't recall finding this book in Cavendish Manor before."
Snape's eyes were glued to the book in his hands.
Asseth answered his question while handling the potion ingredients in his hand.
"It's true that we don't have it at home. My father received it from a dilapidated nobleman. I remember the professor mentioned it before, so I kept it."
"Professor, you don't mind if I lend you flowers to offer to Buddha, right?"
Snape was not in the mood to pay attention to this troll for the time being. He was currently occupied with the books in his hands.
He carefully cast a protective spell on the book before using the copy spell.
Aces received no reply, and was not surprised. He lowered his head and continued to deal with the slugs on his hands.
After disposing of all the materials on the ground, Asseth stood up and cleaned himself up before walking towards the Potions Master who was reading a book.
Seeing that the potion master was looking down in fascination at this time, Asseth deliberately stood by the fireplace to block the projection of the firelight.
The dimming of the light caused the Potion Master to stop turning the pages. He reluctantly raised his head and looked at Asseth, who was blocking his light.
"Any thing else?"
Asseth is helpless, is he so unpopular?
He touched the alchemy ring on his right hand with his left hand and took out a robe.
"Santa Claus hasn't had enough yet. Professor, why don't you try on this robe?"
Snape frowned and looked at the silver robe in Asseth's hand, his resistance evident.
Aces knew what he didn't like and said it before he did.
"It's an alchemical robe that changes color and cleans itself."
"Professor try?"
Aces strongly recommends it.
Snape took the robe from his hand and looked at it carefully.
This kind of feel?
"Unicorn hair?"
"Yes."
Snape threw on his robes.
The moment he put it on, the robe automatically fit around his body, and black spread from the collar.
Soon, the entire robe turned into pure black, with only a faint light shining on the corners of the robe, which was the trace of magic writing.
Aces thought it looked good at the time, so he left part of it at the corner of his robe.
The pure black robe was not out of place when worn on Snape, and the looming runes at the corners of the robe made him even more mysterious.
"Very suitable for a professor."
Aces praised him heartily.
"It also has a temperature-regulating effect?"
When Snape put on his robe, a wave of warmth enveloped him, and the warmth made him relax unconsciously.
"Yes, and there are protective runes and repair runes on it. As long as it is not damaged to the point where there is only a piece of cloth left, it can be repaired."
Snape didn't know much about alchemy, but he still knew how precious this robe was, so he took off the robe with his backhand.
Seeing his action, Asseth sat up straight.
"Professor, there are two alchemists in our family."
The implication is that this robe is not precious to him.
Then, Asseth pursed his lips and said again.
"And I did it myself. I can't use my emotions to make a guardian glyph, so it's not as precious as you think."
"Mood making?"
Snape repeated the word slowly.
"It's a relatively advanced alchemy technique. The wizard's emotions are very important for casting spells and making alchemical items."
"Strong emotions can make the magic text far more powerful than itself."
"I can't do it yet. My mother says I don't have enough experience?"
Speaking of this, Asseth himself was a little confused, but Anna did say so.
"Professor, what should I go through?"
He couldn't figure it out, so he simply asked Snape in front of him.
Snape looked down at the confused Artes on the sofa with complicated eyes and said nothing.
"professor?"
Snape looked away: "You will know later."
"My mother said the same thing."
Aces leaned back and said slightly depressed.
Snape placed his robes on the table, turned around and pulled out a book from the bookshelf.
Aces sat up straight and looked at Snape expectantly.
He knew that this should be his Christmas gift.
Snape handed the book to Arthas.
Aces couldn't wait to open it. It was an old potions textbook.
He touched the names on the page.
"Half-Blood Prince?"
Snape's face darkened.
Damn troll.
Aces continued to flip through and saw the dense annotations inside. Suddenly, he saw a familiar name.
"Shen Feng Wu Ying?"
"professor?"
"This is a spell I created myself."
His tone was obviously ordinary, but Asseth could hear a subtle sense of pride in it.
He even felt that Snape's eyes were glowing.
"The professor is really great. There are very few people in the magic world who can create their own magic, let alone when they are still students."
Aces was very polite and immediately followed his words and praised him.
