The snow stopped and the night was cold. Pei Jiaoran led Zhao Mingluan and Pang Xiyin, and also brought Bi Fei and Zhou Mancao. Accompanied by state officials, we went to Prajna Temple together.

Today, Pei Jiaoran put on a dark purple robe, with a red knot tied on top of his head to wipe his forehead. He looks gentle and elegant in temperament, but has no airs at all. Instead, he reveals a bit of the leisureliness of a celebrity in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

When Pei Jiaoran and his party arrived at the Bodhi Summit near Prajna Temple, the sky was dark and the moon was particularly cold at night.

Although the snow had stopped, the chill lingered and the snow was quite heavy, making everything we walked was muddy. But there are still many people who come to listen to the abbot of Prajna Temple to preach the Dharma.

There were monks waiting in front of the altar for a long time. When they saw them coming, they immediately stepped forward to greet them. Lead them to meet Zen Master Dufa first.

Looking at the people walking piously, Pei Jiaoran seemed to think of something, raised his lips and smiled and said: "Your Majesty is considerate of all officials. He allows all officials to be exempted from going to court when the roads are muddy due to rain or snow. I didn't expect this sutra lecture meeting. , but it can make people forget that the road is difficult.”

"Your Majesty is benevolent, so he sympathizes with the hardships of the officials. The Buddha is compassionate, but he may not see the suffering of the people." Zhao Mingluan continued, "The people worship the Buddha, just for sustenance."

The Samana on the side listened and frowned, "But the people are very happy after worshiping the Buddha. Moreover, the Buddha's teaching can persuade people to correct their evil ways and do good deeds. How can it not help the people's suffering?"

When the words fell upon his ears, Pei Jiaoran curled his lips and sarcasm flashed in his eyes. Rely on Buddhism to educate the people? It's really ridiculous. Not to mention that Buddhism has no binding force on the evil of human nature. Can they guarantee that their principles are correct?

What's more, she hasn't seen those families who believe in Buddhism be kind and compassionate to the people, let alone Buddhists who pity the people. After all, those Buddhist scriptures are acceptable for cultivating one's moral character, or using some of these ideas to govern, but one wants to use them to educate the people. Xiao Yan is a typical example of a loser.

Just as he was thinking about it, the group of people had already arrived at the door of Bodhiding, and their eyes were lit by lotus lanterns. A large Buddha stands on the stone platform. Dufa is sitting in front of the Buddha. He is dressed in silk robes and has kind eyebrows and kind eyes.

After watching the crossing method for a moment, Pei Jiaoran moved his eyes. Although the sermon has not yet begun, many people are already sitting cross-legged. He looked at Dufa with a pious expression.

The monk looked at Pei Jiaoran and hesitated for a while, then walked slowly towards Dufa and whispered.

Du Fa, who had his eyes closed, opened his eyes to look at Pei Jiaoran, then stood up to greet him.

"Prince Pei," Du Fa called.

Everyone around him responded with Buddhist salutes.

Only Pei Jiaoran licked his lips, "Emperor Taizong of this dynasty once issued an edict, 'Buddhism and Taoism teach and do good deeds. How can we send monks, nuns, Taoists, etc. to have arrogant arrogance, to sit and be worshiped by their parents, to harm customs, and to violate the rites? It's better to do that right away?" Even though it is forbidden, I am still ordered to worship my parents. 'I am a worldly person, a guest of interest, and I am afraid that I will not be able to worship the Buddha."

Hearing what she said, Dufa was stunned. Immediately, he still said politely: "The Buddha saved all sentient beings, and Governor Pei is also a sentient being. The Buddha is compassionate and should save all living beings."

Hearing this, Pei Jiaoran smiled and said nothing. Seeing her like this, Dufa had no choice but to turn around and return to the lecture platform.

Pei Jiaoran left the state officials aside and found a secluded place to sit down with several other ladies.

A copper bell sounded, and the ascetics waiting around him lit several lotus candles beside him to pray for him. Dufa's lips and teeth moved, and his speech was slow, like the Zen language of the West. The people listening to the scriptures in the audience looked at Dufa with fascination.

Looking at the crossing method, Pei Jiaoran's eyes were particularly cold. Previously, she asked Zhou Mancao to find out that Dufa himself highly praised the Manjushri Prajna Sutra, and now he was talking about this volume as well. However, it is a pity that when the Prajna Sutra was written, metaphysics was flourishing in the Jin Dynasty and Qing Tan was at its peak. Therefore, there are many places that refer to metaphysical principles as supplements.

In fact, if we really want to talk about it, Buddhism entered China in the Han Dynasty, but it reached its peak in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and in this dynasty it has an especially wide number of believers. This has a lot to do with his efforts to localize himself and gain a sense of identity after entering the Central Plains.

"Buddha has thirty-three heavens, and Tao has thirty-six heavens. The numbers of the two heavens are similar. I really don't know which one is better." Zhao Mingluan lowered his voice and spoke to Pang Xiyin.

Pang Xiyin raised his eyebrows when he heard this, "Whether it's Buddha or Tao. Who believes in who? Why can't I believe in both at the same time? Besides, if they don't work, why should I believe in them?"

"Xiyin, don't lie. The Buddha is watching you from above! Be careful if he hears you talking bad about him." Zhou Mancao teased her, then turned to look at Pei Jiaoran, "Huh? Why is Governor Pei asleep? "

Her voice was neither loud nor quiet, just enough for everyone present to hear.

Pei Jiaoran, who had made a great appearance in the previous battle, had already made many people dissatisfied with his remarks about crossing the border. Now I heard that she fell asleep during such a Dharma ceremony, and I was even more angry. But due to Pei Jiaoran's status, he did not dare to speak out.

"A certain person just happened to meet the sage Zhuangzi in a dream, and we traveled with him in Beihai to discuss theories and principles. He said a word to a certain person." After saying this, Pei Jiaoran licked his lips and said, "I have witnessed it and the truth exists, and I cannot tolerate my words."

After the words fell, Shi Dufa could not be more calm. At this moment, his expression also changed, not to mention the believers on the field who were proficient in poetry.

Pei Jiaoran's words clearly meant that he was telling Dufa, I know all the things you said, but I won't say them out like you did.

After a pause, Dufa continued to talk about the scriptures. What he is talking about now is the main purpose of the "Manjusri Prajna Sutra", which is intended to teach the people what to do, "follow the Buddha's instructions, upright and upright." and how to recite the Buddha's name devoutly.

Just a moment's pause was enough for many people to look back at Pei Jiaoran under the tall bodhi tree. The people who looked at her had a hint of inquiry in their eyes.

Pei Jiaoran smiled, and the night moon poured over him. Both gods and Buddhas receive a furnace of incense from the world, but both are born in the mouth of the world. Therefore, it is not up to them to become a Buddha or a God. Rather, it is up to sentient beings to have the final say. If you are spiritual, I will trust you more and hold you high in the clouds.

He glanced meaningfully at Dufa, whose lips and teeth were moving non-stop on the lecture platform. Pei Jiaoran smiled, turned around and left.

Seeing Pei Jiaoran and his entourage leaving, a monk said: "My Buddha compassionately teaches the Dharma and helps people in the world accumulate merit. The person wearing cloth is poor but noble, like a lotus lamp in front of the Buddha holding incense. The person wearing brocade is rich but dirty, like a bowl. The agarwood in the middle removes all the filth and stench."

After hearing what the monk said, Pei Jiaoran stopped and turned around. He raised his lips and sneered, "Well frogs who don't know the sea are stuck in the void; summer insects who don't know the ice are stuck in the time. A wise man uses his enlightenment to make others enlighten; now he uses his dimness to make others enlighten. I see the Buddha's Dharma coming out of Sumeru , how can we not accept all sentient beings?"

The arguing here gave way to Dufa's lecture and stopped again, and the eyes of the people on the scene also fell on Pei Jiaoran.

Dufa frowned and sighed softly, "If you take a drop of Buddha's teachings, you can also take in all the teachings. The donor can see the Buddha nature, why not discuss the Dharma with me."
