Chapter 218 Meeting "Altay" in Tibet
The weather today is exceptionally good. Although the temperature is still a little low in the morning, the sunshine is just right for me.
Wu Shuangshuang wore a short-sleeved shirt inside and a long-sleeved windbreaker outside.
Both of them rested well last night. The altitude here is about 3300 meters, there is plenty of oxygen, and neither of them had any altitude sickness.
The person driving in the morning was Dai Rongrong.
Along the way, the scenery looked like an oil painting, with no need for color adjustment at all.
The forest, the river, the snow-capped mountains, the blue sky, the white snow, and the herds of cattle, sheep, and horses, any photo you take while stopping will be a great film.
Along the way, I don’t know if it was because it was morning or for some other reason, but I met very few tourists.
Wu Shuangshuang and Dai Rongrong were not in a hurry. They took pictures of each other with their SLR cameras. They didn't have to worry about tourists coming in and taking any group photos.
The two drove along National Highway 318 and saw thousands of different kinds of wild flowers blooming along the way, adding a lot of color to the forest.
There were many very rugged roads in the middle, so two people took turns driving to avoid one person driving for a long time and being highly nervous, which would leave no energy for fun later.
Finally, the two arrived at Lulang Linhai, a forest located in the sea of clouds and fog, known as the "Jiangnan of Tibet".
Being in it is like being in a large primeval forest. Looking up, you can see snow-capped peaks, lush grass, and layers of clouds and flowers.
Driving along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway to Sejila Mountain, you can see the majestic beauty of the forest and Mount Namjagbarwa in the distance.
The ultimate goal of the two people is to go to the Little Switzerland of the East - the small town of Lulang.
After crossing the Sejila Pass, the altitude reached about 4700 meters. The two people had already checked that in order to see the golden mountain of Mount Namjagbarwa in the sunshine, it usually requires a good winter weather and a sunny day.
Now it is June, and as expected, we did not see the so-called golden mountain in the sunshine.
But the two were not disappointed.
Because the scenery along the way is so healing.
After crossing Lulang Linhai, you will reach the small town of Lulang. The journey of more than 70 kilometers takes about an hour and a half to drive.
Lulang Town has become a large-scale tourist destination.
The two did not plan to stay in a B&B for a day, but instead planned to drive through the green forest to watch the smoke and the herds of cattle and horses.
After locating the Maca Ranch in Tibet, the two of them found a place for horseback riding and archery. It costs at least ¥40 for a small circle and ¥100 for a large circle.
It's much cheaper than the place at the entrance where you get surrounded and asked if you want to ride a horse.
Dai Rongrong had no experience in horse riding, so she wanted to give it a try. Wu Shuangshuang didn't mind accompanying her for a long ride.
Here we also experienced Tibetan archery, the target was a round cake with a red star on it.
Wu Shuangshuang has good eyesight and got the first piece right in the center of the circle. She was so happy.
Dai Rongrong's luck was not very good. She shot 10 arrows in a row but only three hit the target, the rest all missed the target.
There is a Maca Farm Cafe next to the ranch. It is very beautiful and many tourists come here to check in.
The photos taken were great, but the coffee was sky-high at ¥50 a cup. We two weren't the type of people who couldn't afford that little money, but we just thought the coffee was too expensive and decided not to order it.
I decided to just take some photos outside, save some money where I can, and if I want to have coffee, why not just make two cups in the car?
People say Lulang is the Little Switzerland of Tibet, and it really lives up to its reputation.
All the snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and grasslands that Switzerland has are available here.
After Wu Shuangshuang and Dai Rongrong took a walk around, they got in the car and took Dahuang with them.
Although there were not many tourists, he was still put on a leash.
As for the yellow pig, it stays at home to watch over the house. It doesn't like exercise anyway, and it can sleep all day if it has enough food.
When Dahuang arrived at the grassland and saw so many cattle, sheep and horses, he was so happy that he went crazy.
If Wu Shuangshuang hadn't pulled the leash tightly, he would have run after the cattle and sheep.
It was okay for the lambs, but as for those big yaks and adult horses, Wu Shuangshuang didn't know where Dahuang got the courage to chase them.
Could it be that Dahuang also has the genes of a sheepdog?
Most of the vegetation here is pine and spruce, with some low meadows in between.
Maybe it’s because the ecological environment is well protected. While walking, Wu Shuangshuang and Dai Rongrong often found many squirrels jumping among the treetops. The squirrels here are also very big and look particularly plump.
There are also many rare birds living here.
After being taught a lesson by the horses, Dahuang no longer dared to chase after them. Instead, he developed a new interest in the various birds flying overhead.
Fortunately, their nest is quite high and Dahuang can't reach it.
Whenever Wu Shuangshuang saw Dahuang trying to pounce on the birds resting on the grass, he would hold the leash in his hand tightly.
"No, no, no! Da Huang, you can't chase them! They are too mean! Too mean! Please don't hurt me~~~~"
In fact, Wu Shuangshuang also knew that Dahuang would not eat or harm them, but she felt particularly novel about coming to this place suddenly, and she chased those birds out of curiosity.
At night, Wu Shuangshuang and Dai Rongrong slept in the RV, which was not far from the homestays, ensuring their safety while not being disturbed.
The two woke up early the next morning.
Dai Rongrong got up earlier and got off the bus to buy some mushrooms and cream milk from the locals.
When Wu Shuangshuang woke up, Dai Rongrong had already prepared two servings of cream mushroom pasta.
"Wow, this is so delicious! How come your cooking skills are so good?" Wu Shuangshuang couldn't help but praise while eating.
"It's not that my cooking skills are great, it's that the ingredients here are good and fresh!"
Today, Dawang and Huangzhu also had a good meal. Dai Rongrong did not forget these two little guys when she went out.
I bought a bucket of goat milk specifically for these two little guys.
At this moment, Dawang and the yellow pig buried their faces in their bowls and gulped down the drink, looking so satisfied!
After breakfast, the two got off the car and took a walk. It was the off-season, so many things were not expensive. Wu Shuangshuang and Dai Rongrong both bought some souvenirs, planning to bring them back to their family and friends.
Today the two decided to drive to Linzhi City.
Planning to take a city walk in Linzhi city!
I originally thought that I would just stay in a hotel in Linzhi city as a transitional rest stop.
Unexpectedly, while we were having dinner, the locals recommended the nearby Holy Mountain Biri.
From here you can also overlook the entire Nyingchi city, and you are lucky enough to see the Tyndall effect. The sunlight shines through the clouds and sprinkles into the valley, which is extremely beautiful, like a fairyland on earth.
By the way, we visited the Linzhi Natural Museum.
Then we went for a walk along the Niyang River. At noon, the wind by the water was particularly cool.
The two of them also checked in for the local delicacy, the nourishing mushroom stone pot house, where you can eat silky and sweet chicken for 80 yuan per person. It is worthy of being the number one stone pot chicken in Nyingchi.
The two of us spent another 120 yuan to eat at a local Tibetan restaurant. The decoration was quite unique, and the beef buns and ghee-roasted mushrooms were also delicious.
Dai Rongrong is a milk tea fanatic. She dragged Wu Shuangshuang to check in for the Huaniang barley milk tea, which cost 18 yuan per cup.
The fragrance of flowers is mixed with milk tea, and topped with barley as a topping. The barley still has some chewiness, the tea is not too sweet, and the taste is particularly good.
Even Wu Shuangshuang, who doesn't like milk tea, likes it.
