Chapter 33 The Cornish Elf

Lockhart looked confident as he raised his hand and lifted off the red cloth on the metal cage.

"Oh!" Someone exclaimed.

I saw Cornish elves climbing and flying inside the cage. This creature has purple skin, black bean-like eyes, and a pair of small wings behind it. The cry was sharp.

"Cornish elves?" Seamus, who was sitting in the seat behind Harry, recognized them.

"Yes, but don't underestimate them. They are very scary little devils." Lockhart put his hand on the cage door. "Now, let's face them!"

The dense swarm of Cornish elves were like bats emerging from their caves, screaming and flying out of the iron cage. While roaring, he pounced on the students.

They used their small bodies to pull the students' hair hard. Others used quills, inkwells, and useless but still heavy Lockhart books to throw at the students' faces.

Neville Longbottom was particularly welcomed. At this moment, at least five or six elves were circling around him. They were trying to grab his ears and hang him on the chandelier above his head.

"Everyone, hurry up, they are just a group of elves." Lockhart encouraged everyone on the podium. But it was already a mess down there.

Many students had already run out of the classroom, and books, tables and chairs were in a mess on the ground.

Lockhart finally realized that he was out of control and took out his wand to take control of the situation. It was already too late. Only halfway through reciting the return spell, the wand was snatched away.

Several elves also rushed towards his face. In order to protect his handsome face, Lockhart hurriedly ran to the office at the back of the classroom, shouting as he ran. "I'll leave it to you!"

Leave behind the chaotic students and the crazy Cornish elves flying around the classroom.

Hermione's hair was pulled, and Harry and Ron picked up the books on the ground and punched the elf.

Lilith accidentally got some blue ink splashed on her hair. Although a cleaning spell could clean it up, Lilith still felt uncomfortable.

"Petrify them all! Immobilize them all!" Lilith and Hermione raised their wands at the same time. The former sentence is Lilith, and the latter sentence is Hermione. The elves turned into stone and floated in the air.

Neville was flying halfway with his ears pulled, and fell from the air at this time, but luckily he was not injured. It’s just that there are two ‘elf earrings’ hanging on her ears.

Lilith retracted her wand, took two quick steps and kicked open the office door. Lockhart was holding the mirror at the moment, observing whether his handsome face was injured.

"Oh." Lockhart slammed the mirror onto the table. "I knew you could do it." He said and gave him a wink. "It's just a little test."

Lilith's face was livid and she said nothing. She was afraid she would spit it out. Hermione picked up Professor Lockhart's wand and gave it to her specially. Lockhart changed his target again and praised Hermione for being such a good girl. Also added 10 points to Gryffindor.

Lilith was really fed up, and Hermione was a little suspicious of Lockhart because of this incident. But in the end, the idol filter was a bit heavy, and Hermione silently found a reason for Lockhart in her heart.

The students put the incapacitated Cornish elves back into their cages one by one. Neville suffered a little because after all, it was difficult to remove the petrified elves.

The first Defense Against the Dark Arts class after the start of school ended hastily.

Lilith didn't even eat, cast a cleaning spell on herself, and hurried back to the dormitory to take a shower. She always felt like she smelled of ink.

"Lilith hasn't been looking well today." Harry said to Ron.

"Well, I think she might have been disgusted by Professor Lockhart's lessons..." Ron felt that Lockhart's lessons were useless. I really don't understand what girls like about him. “Really, all I’ve learned is don’t let the Cornish elves run amok.”

After Lilith took a shower, she went to find Professor McGonagall, hoping that she would not have to take Lockhart's Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

"I'm sorry, Lilith. Defense Against the Dark Arts is a compulsory course. However, I also heard about what happened in the last class. I will respond to the principal, at least it will not cause anything as bad as this time. "Professor McGonagall rejected Lilith's request.

Yue sat on the sofa, looking at Lilith with gray eyes, very quiet.

"Yue, are you okay here?" Lilith asked Yue.

"Well, it's nice here." Yue nodded. He likes quiet places where no one bothers him. He only occasionally helps Professor McGonagall pour some tea every day.

Lilith was reassured. "That's good. If you feel bored, you can come to me or walk around in Hogwarts. It's still very big here."

After bidding farewell to Professor McGonagall, I was called to the principal's office on the way back.

Dumbledore sat there with a black notebook in front of him. Lilith recognized it at a glance as the one she gave to Grindelwald. It seems that Grindelwald succeeded.

"Sit, Lilith." Dumbledore gestured to Lilith to sit down. The wise old man looked very calm.

After Lilith sat down, Dumbledore continued to speak. "Gellert told me...you gave this to him. Let's not talk about his affairs. How did you get this?"

Lilith knew that Grindelwald was a bitch, but she didn't expect to tell her everything to her old lover so quickly.

"If you tell me, you might not believe it." Lilith lowered her eyes. "It's Lucius Malfoy. Do you remember what I said about foreseeing the future? I know he will secretly put this book in the Weasley family's youngest daughter's old books in Diagon Alley."

"So, I traded Ginny for him with a beautiful notebook."

Dumbledore's expression was still serious: "Do you know, this is very dangerous. This is a product of dark magic..."

"I know." Lilith didn't wait for Dumbledore to finish. "It's a Horcrux." Lilith looked directly into Dumbledore's eyes firmly. "I also know that it's not just this one."

"You know? What did you foresee?"

Lilith was silent for a few seconds, as if she was considering whether to tell everything. "I said...it's not a prediction..." Lilith thought of something again. He raised his head "Dobby!"

Amidst a burst of sound, Dobby appeared staggeringly, his expression frightened. He stared at the notebook on the table, "Dobby...didn't see anything."

"Bad Dobby, bad Dobby, bad Dobby!" Dobby banged his head against the shelf holding the Sorting Hat. Mr. Hat shook the tip of his hat.

"I order you to stop, Dobby!" said Dumbledore.

Dobby grabbed his long ears, stopped, and then looked at Dumbledore carefully.

"What is this?" Dumbledore asked Lilith.

"It's the elf of the Malfoy family. He learned that Harry was in danger this semester and wanted to protect Harry." Lilith said, pointing to the notebook on the table.
