The Chinese classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Light are different from Western philosophy. Western philosophy is a rigorous categorical deduction and conceptual inference, with very rigorous thinking step by step. Reading Western philosophical works is beneficial, as it trains us to think rationally very thoroughly and thoughtfully, almost like learning mathematics.

This is to train us to think rationally. But Chinese humanistic classics are not about rational thinking. By reading these classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Light, you will understand what this passage means and you will be able to put your own life feelings into this passage. Reading the classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Light is to read our own feelings about life. Because each of us has lived in this world for a period of time, each of us has accumulated our own life feelings in our own lives, but we have never had the opportunity to read it. By reading the classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Guangming, for example, we are now reading the Guangming Sutra, and we have an opportunity to read our own feelings about life. What is the difference between reading and not reading? If we don't read it, our life experience will be scattered and out of state. By reading the classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Light, we have an opportunity to elevate our feelings about life to the realm of life. This is our reading relationship with the classics of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Light. This kind of reading relationship is not an academic research relationship, but the kind of relationship that enhances our own feelings about life.

Therefore, the meaning of the Great Light Sutra, such as the Great Light Sutra, is not outside our minds. So we have to put our own life feelings into it. If you can put in this section, you will understand this section. If you don't put it in, you just understand it literally, it's completely different. There are many people who explain the principles of the Great Light Sutra very clearly. You know, they can be called scholars, but they have never experienced the experience of life. So I just said that we are not studying the Great Light. We are studying the Great Light. When we read the Light Sutra with the attitude of learning the Great Light, we put our life feelings into it. Sometimes we put it into it.

It's really amazing. What's the result? A mixture of joy and sorrow. In the Great Light Sect, it is called reading the Great Light Sutra, and when you read it, you will be happy with the Dharma. Only then did you understand this paragraph. What your indifferent mind understood, you did not understand at all.

Now I have many people around my age who have been studying the Great Light for more than ten years. When I see them learning the Great Light like this, I admire them because they are very diligent. I chant sutras every day for several hours. Sometimes when I meet my middle school classmates, I ask how many times do you recite the sutra every day and how many times does he recite the sutra. When I looked at it, I said I can't compare with you at all. I was drinking while you were chanting sutras. My level was too low. So I couldn't help but ask him, I said you recite sutras to this day, right? After so many years of reciting sutras, have you ever shed a tear? He was surprised by my question. He had never shed tears before, so how could he shed tears? I said you never understood.

Because the Great Light Sutra is the essence that enhances our life emotions. What does it mean to enhance life emotions? It's called "enlightenment". And what is this "enlightenment"? Turned around. What does "enlightenment" mean? There is another saying in the Age of Light, which actually originates from the thoughts of the Great Guangming Sect. What is it? "A revolution breaks out in the depths of the soul." I later realized that when I saw this sentence, I remembered, doesn't it mean "enlightenment"? It's not a revolution in the brain. There is nothing revolutionary about the mind, but the mind has increased knowledge.

Where is the brainstorming? There is a storm in your heart. Do you know who is specially chosen for programs like Brainstorming? Business leaders, successful people, and business elites talk about their successful experiences. There are so many young viewers down there watching, especially today’s college students, who want to copy them, you know. Can you copy Luo Xiaofei? Can you copy the Prince of Providence? Can you copy Erya? They're all having this dream, you know, right? Because those people are talking about it, you know which key stage of reform and opening up he will have a series of good ideas, right? It caused them to succeed. It's all bullshit. Don't believe it. The root of their success is never the ideas they say. He wouldn't tell them what they had experienced. It was a test of the soul, right? How can there be a storm in the mind? I was just confused, you know? Only the soul can have storms, you know?

So what is "enlightenment"? Revolution breaks out deep in the soul, and when it breaks out, it is "sudden" and "enlightened", which is revolution. What kind of revolution is this? The sublimation of life emotions is this kind of thing. So those friends told me that they have never shed a tear after reading the Great Light Sutra for more than ten years. I said that you have basically read it in vain and it will have no impact on you. The words are just words in the mouth. Isn’t it the same as a young monk chanting sutras? Don't we common people say it? The young monk chanted sutras but didn't mean it. The words are being recited continuously, but the heart has never moved up. If you have to recite the heart deeds orally, the heart will follow. What does it mean that the heart will follow? The feeling of life catches up. Those who can't catch up at first are still very unfamiliar. Alas, after a few times, they catch up.

So when I read again today "People below have superior wisdom, and superiors have no wisdom", your feelings went up.

So this is by the way, how do we read the "Light Sutra". So it is very good for us to have a gathering like this. You all have many life experiences of your own. Like me, you have lived in this world for decades and have established your own life experiences. You have never had the opportunity to review them. Woolen cloth. Pick it up, pick it up, and read it. What can you use to read your own feelings about life? Accept the classics to read your own feelings about life. That scripture is not outside me. The Great Light says that the Great Light Dharma is not for himself. He has already become the Great Light, so what else can he say? Is it for ordinary people like us to call sentient beings—lost sentient beings? He told us that we should keep up, how to keep up, and how we feel about life. So this is an appropriate understanding.

This is true not only of reading the "Guangming Sutra", but also of Confucian classics, the Analects of Confucius, Mencius, Laozi, and Zhuangzi. Only then will we gain real gains from the three schools of Confucianism, Taoism, and Great Guangming. What is this gain? The sublimation of life emotions, and what does the sublimation of life emotions mean? Because when our heart, our original heart, rises up, it is not because our brain has too much knowledge, it is not this thing. As I said just now, young people should really read these things now. Why? Look at what problems we have unknowingly had with our attitude towards life in this sick era and society. Change of attitude towards life is fundamental, otherwise they will have no way out, no spiritual way out.
