Warhammer 40: Mortal Gods

The ship sailed past some planets that were extremely affected by the Warp.

Without exception, those planets all had strange situations, and when you get closer, you will find that some of them are not even planets.

A large number of demons are running in the "void", rushing towards the outside of the Eye of Terror.

The ship is like a small boat, and the demons are like big fish in the river. Schools of fish swim up and down and left and right from the boat. The physical laws of the real universe are meaningless to them and the environment here.

"Something is pulling them." The Emperor's psychic projection suddenly said, "If there is no force pulling them, they would have rushed out of the Eye of Terror by now."

"What power is it?" Qin Mo asked.

The Emperor still shook his head.

He couldn't sense it.

"The best way to deal with demons is psychic power, although psychic power cannot wipe them out forever." The Emperor's body on Terra sent a psychic communication to Magnus two months ago, "Magnus and his legion are now guarding outside the Eye of Terror. If the demons rush out, they will be intercepted."

Qin Mo nodded.

The ship continued sailing.

Qin Mo felt that his eyes were unable to summarize some of the environments within the Eye of Fear, and his senses were not so sharp. Sometimes he felt that the ship was retreating, and sometimes he felt that the ship was flying up and then falling.

Then within a few breaths, the ship suddenly stopped completely and arrived at its destination.

The huge warship was moored near its destination like a small boat anchored to the shore.

Qin Mo and the Emperor's psychic projection were teleported out of the ship and onto the "shore" together.

This is the core of the entire Eye of Terror, like a star emitting dark purple light.

But it's not quite a star.

It looked like a plain shrouded in dark purple light, and then the light enveloped the plain in an indescribable form, and then released the light, forming purple star cracks seen by those who looked at it outside the Eye of Terror.

Occasionally, the dark purple light would look like a demon, or some kind of abominable image that would trigger the uncanny valley effect in humans.

“Don’t pay attention to the environment here.” The Emperor’s golden pupils were always staring forward. “The Eye of Terror is the connection between the Warp and the real universe. Here, the environment is like rules and logic. It is meaningless and does not exist at all.”

"This damn place is really outrageous." Qin Mo closed his eyes to calm himself, then opened them again.

When he subconsciously observed the environment before actively interfering with his thoughts and not paying attention to it, he found that this damn place had changed again.

There are no plains, only an endless ocean.

The ocean flows in the sky, and below it are endless stars.

Qin Mo no longer looked around the environment.

After the Emperor arrived at the Eye of Terror, everything was normal, as if he had returned home. Not only was he not affected by the turbulent environment here, he could even find the right way forward in this environment without logic and rules.

Above the endless blood-red desert, lava and ocean are surging.

Anyone, even a psychic, would be lost here unless they were loved and blessed by the dark gods.

But the Emperor carefully discerned that he could sense something strange in the Eye of Terror.

So under his guidance, Qin Mo was able to ignore any interference and move forward easily.

After trudging through the desert in the surging sea and passing through the remains of some unknown ancient civilization, the two finally arrived in a city together.

No matter what weird environment appears in the Eye of Terror, it is not surprising enough, just ignore it.

But at this time, the emperor scanned the surroundings with his golden pupils, indicating Qin Mo to pay attention to the environment here.

"Here is the same," said the Emperor.

Qin Mo glanced around.

This is a huge city with buildings made of white marble everywhere.

In those intact buildings, there are scenes of prosperity that will never fade away. Creatures that look like humans but are not humans play their roles in this eternal prosperity.

Based on the prosperity he saw, Qin Mo determined the functions of many buildings in the city.

Almost all of this place is a hospital.

Large, small, grand as a temple...

But these hospitals are supposed to bring a higher level of medical care, but that is not the case with the people living in that eternal prosperity. They all look sick.

This is another classic Eye of Terror environment with no logic.

But this scene made Qin Mo ponder.

He recalled the events of the Emperor, and how, had the Emperor chosen to accept his own power during the Horus Heresy, ascend to Godhood and join the Great Game of the Gods, then the Emperor's godhood would have been the Dark Lord.

But the premise is that the Horus Heresy will happen in this universe and the Emperor will accept the power of the Black King.

But the fact is that there is no Black King in the Warp, there is only a vacant position of the Lord of the Eightfold Trial, which means that the Emperor cannot choose to become a god.

The Emperor and the Black King have no significant connection with the scene before him, but Qin Mo associates them with Nurgle.

He had imagined, if Nurgle was also a being similar to the Emperor, if he was not a god condensed by extreme emotions in the Warp, but a creature who chose to ascend to godhood, then what Nurgle would have experienced when he was still a mortal.

Considering that it has so much power over life, it is possible that Nurgle is a doctor.

But this is just an imagination.

It is hard not to be reminded of Nurgle in the environment here, but it is more likely that this is a civilization that has received the blessing of Nurgle and it appears in the Eye of Terror for unknown reasons.

"This is shaped by the power of Nurgle." The Emperor was a little surprised. "But why does it cause demons to flee outside the Eye of Terror?"

"You said that this place makes you feel at home, and the power of Nurgle makes you feel at home?" Qin Mo asked.

"No..." The Emperor shook his head, "Of course not, it's something else, but I can't see where it is."

From the Emperor's perspective, it was in a giant storm of blurred white and gold information. He trudged into the eye of the storm and saw chaos everywhere.

How could a mortal in the eye of a psychic storm of chaos find what he wanted to find in the storm? He could only see the storm itself, and the only thing he could find was, of course, the storm.

In this environment, the emperor felt like a powerless mortal in the storm. He even began to regret bringing Qin Mo to the storm.
