Hiding in Hogwarts as a professor
Chapter 25 The Wizard's Instinct
On Thursday afternoon, Harry and Ron hurried to the first floor, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
"I wonder what Professor Welfare will teach us?" Ron asked expectantly as he jogged.
Harry was not so optimistic, "If the professor finds out that we can't even use a single spell, will he be so angry that he stops teaching us?"
Ron waved his hand confidently.
"Don't worry, except for that Granger, no one in the entire first grade can use a single magic. Maybe the professor will teach us advanced magic directly!"
"After I learn it, I will teach George and the others a lesson."
By the time they passed the naughty stairs and arrived at the classroom, they were obviously late.
The two trotted in in a hurry. The students had already been sitting there doing test papers, while Professor Welfare was sitting on the podium, reading a book with interest.
"It's so cool." Ron praised.
Even though they had heard it a hundred times, they were amazed when they saw the name on their head with their own eyes and the flash of golden light.
Harry nodded approvingly.
But Tver had already raised his head and looked at them.
"I think," he said abruptly, "you are the only ones who are late for my class."
Harry's neck suddenly shrank, "I'm sorry, Professor, we're lost."
Tver said nothing and looked at Harry deeply.
Just as the two of them were fidgeting with their robes uneasily, he said calmly: "Never again, as a punishment, you will have five minutes less time to complete the test paper."
The first-grade test paper is very simple. It mainly tests their preview of the textbook. As long as they have read the textbook, they can basically answer % of the answers.
As if they had received an amnesty, the two of them hurriedly found a seat to sit down, and waited for five minutes before two test papers came over.
Tver continued to look at his "Wizard Chess Fundamentals". He had mastered the rules of Wizard Chess, and now he just needed to find a partner to test his skills.
Half an hour later, the last drop of sand in the hourglass fell, but everyone was still scratching their heads and making the final struggle.
"Harry, lend me yours," Ron whispered urgently.
Harry showed it to him expressionlessly. The roll was the same as Ron's.
Miserable.
Tver clapped his hands twice, and all the test papers flew lightly to the podium and formed a pile.
"Don't worry about your grades. I have already anticipated your knowledge base."
Hermione snorted in dissatisfaction, but she didn't expect that it was unusually obvious in the quiet classroom, and everyone heard the sound clearly.
The little witch suddenly blushed with embarrassment and raised her head in a panic, eager to explain.
"Of course, I know that some of you students have previewed the textbooks well, and I don't mean to belittle you."
"To be honest, I prefer a blank situation like yours, so that I can better lay a solid foundation for you."
Tver pulled out his wand and said loudly to everyone with a smile.
"So, are you ready?"
"We're ready!" the students shouted excitedly.
Very good, very impressive.
Tver nodded with satisfaction.
"But I also know that you don't know much about magic, so the content of courses similar to combat will depend on the progress of your spells class. Before that, you mainly study theory."
Everyone's momentum suddenly dropped like they were on a roller coaster.
"Okay, before we proceed to the formal content of the course, you need to learn a little trick."
Tver led them to the open space, facing the white wall behind the classroom, and randomly emitted three red, green, and yellow lights.
"That's it. It's a very simple trick. It's not a magic spell. It's just a light that purely uses magic power. It won't hurt if it hits people."
"You can also use this technique to communicate over long distances in the wild."
"Red light represents danger, green light represents safety, and yellow light represents special circumstances. Of course, the yellow light is not obvious during the day, so it can be replaced by green light."
The little wizards were very bored. They still wanted to learn powerful and cool magic and then have a fierce battle with the professor.
Tver knew what they were thinking at a glance, "I would like to remind you that this little trick is very important and every student must learn it before proceeding to the next step of the course."
They then calmed down their expressions and practiced this technique seriously against the white wall.
This is still very simple. Anyone who listens carefully in the magic class can quickly master the point of emitting light. The only difficulty is to make the light change color according to one's own wishes.
However, with the increase of practice, within half an hour, basically everyone has completely mastered this technique.
Except for one student.
"Mr. Longbottom, you seem nervous?"
Tver tried to make his voice as gentle as possible, but it still frightened the round-faced boy.
His hand shook and the wand fell. It was Tver's quick eyesight and quick hands that caught it without falling to the ground.
The students who had already learned it all noticed the situation here and teased Neville Longbottom in a low voice.
Neville was so nervous that sweat broke out on his forehead. He didn't know where to put his hands, and he didn't even take the wand handed over by Tweel.
"Have you mastered it?" Tver glared at the idle students.
"Come on, don't be nervous," he comforted Neville, "casting spells is as simple as breathing for us wizards."
"I think you have also had this experience. Breathing is natural, but when you focus on breathing, you seem to have forgotten that naturalness."
"Professor, I may not be a wizard." Neville was almost crying.
Tver patted him on the shoulder in a funny way. Through Legilimency, he had already seen that his memory was fading because he had been hit by the Forgetting Curse.
I don’t know what caused this famous sword master in his previous life to have such an experience.
"I'm very sure that you are a wizard, a powerful wizard," Seeing Neville raise his head in surprise, Tver continued, "You are just too nervous and too focused on some useless knowledge."
He put the wand into Neville's hand, "Forget everything now, feel your own magic like instinct, and then release it."
Tweel's voice was like hypnosis and a devil's whisper, bewitching Neville and making him raise his right hand unconsciously.
"Boom."
A large ball of red light hit the wall, and a piece of the wall covering fell off, causing the surrounding students to jump.
They gathered around Neville again, but this time, their eyes were full of surprise.
"This is……"
Neville was shocked by his magic. He opened and closed his mouth several times, not knowing what to say.
Tver waved his wand and repaired the wall.
"This is the wall. One point was deducted from Gryffindor because Mr. Longbottom destroyed the classroom." He looked at the stunned students with a chuckle.
"Pfft."
Ron burst out laughing, and everyone burst into laughter. Neville even laughed so hard that his eyes filled with tears and he couldn't stand upright.
"Okay," Tver called their attention back, "Now that everyone has mastered this technique, today's class ends here."
"There is no homework, the only requirement is to practice this little trick, which will be of great help to you in the next class."
