Soaring at Hogwarts

Chapter 40 Secret

Of course Snape didn't come to Ian because of homework issues.

"What happened?" Snape asked standing at the door of the office.

"Someone put a spell on the giant squid - I guess it was the Imperius Curse or something - and wanted to drown Harry."

Snape frowned, opened the door that had just been closed, and said without looking back, "I understand, you can go back."

It looks like he plans to visit the Great Lakes.

"You need to hurry him up, Professor!" Ian said after him.

The office door closed automatically with a "bang!" behind it.

A quarter of an hour later, Ian saw Harry on the hospital bed in the school infirmary.

"Professor McGonagall has gone to the Great Lakes," Samantha quickly explained. "Harry is not feeling well right now. He said his scar is very painful. Madam Pomfrey asked him to stay here for observation for a while."

Harry was more concerned about another point than himself: "Ian, what did Snape say to you?"

"He asked me what happened."

"you said?"

"I told you, it's impossible to hide this."

Harry sighed in annoyance.

"I suspect it was him who did it. He has always looked down upon me." Harry said, "Think about it, he appeared from behind us. He was also in the venue at the time. Maybe he was casting a curse from behind!"

Samantha couldn't help but said: "I also saw Quirrell."

"That's it!" Ron reasoned, "Snape must be threatening Quirrell again! That's why they are not in the castle! They ran to the Forbidden Forest like last time!"

Even Hermione looked convinced.

"How does Quirrell look?" Harry asked anxiously. "He didn't give in, did he?"

Samantha looked at him and then at Ian, but hesitated to speak.

Harry thought he had figured out the answer from her expression, and couldn't help but sigh in despair.

"If Quirrell has surrendered, how close is Snape to stealing the Philosopher's Stone?"

"I don't know." Ron and Hermione looked at each other, "Besides Hagrid's big dog, there must be other magic protecting the Philosopher's Stone."

"What you need to do now is rest, Harry," Ian interjected.

"I can not!"

But he had to, because Madam Pomfrey was coming.

"It's been a long time, and the patient needs to be quiet. It's time for you to go," she said firmly.

…………I can’t sleep due to worries, I can’t let myself down this night…………

Harry was discharged from the hospital the next day. They tried their best to find out from Hagrid what was guarding the Philosopher's Stone, and found that if Quirrell's level could not stop Snape, only Lu Wei could stop him.

"I hope Fluffy gives me some energy," Harry said as they chatted, "just like before that Quidditch match."

Before the game between Gryffindor and Slytherin, Harry spied one of Snape's legs - dripping with blood.

The three of them began to monitor Snape closely, even taking turns to stay in front of his office at night, wrapped in a blanket and wearing an invisibility cloak.

Samantha and Ian were on a forest tour and did not join them.

"How was last night?"

This weekend morning, five people met at the dinner table and greeted each other.

"It's still the same in the Forbidden Forest." Ian let out a long yawn, feeling that he hadn't had a good night's sleep in a long time. "It's nothing special."

"It's the same here, Snape ran to the fourth floor corridor several times." Ron also yawned as he was infected, "But he still didn't succeed in crossing Lu Wei - seriously, does it make sense for us to do this? "

"Of course." Harry said firmly, "I'll go tonight and you can have a good rest."

"We can't rest yet!" Hermione said grumpily, "We have to review Charms today! I can't believe we have so much to learn!"

"It won't happen if you skip one round of review," Ron whispered.

Harry was right, there was a sense in which they did it - a negative sense.

"So, Snape and Quirrell had a fight, and then you were accidentally discovered." Ian looked at Harry.

Harry nodded shamefully.

His blanket was exposed and Snape saw it, resulting in Professor McGonagall being furious, receiving fifty points from Gryffindor and being placed in solitary confinement - the punishment being a forest patrol.

"There are too many of us, so we need to separate ourselves." Hagrid said, holding the headlight unsteadily, "Otherwise, we will scare those cats and cats giving birth to cubs."

Hagrid has to take care of the creatures in the Forbidden Forest. Sometimes, too many people are unfriendly to the little guys.

"Let's go together, three of us," Ian said, holding the lamp of the smaller one, "You go see those kittens, and we'll take Harry on a patrol."

"Okay, be careful along the way..."

"Don't worry, Hagrid."

Samantha walked behind, and Ian walked in front. As he walked, he said: "Follow me, Harry, and don't go astray. There are many traps here."

On the way, Ian introduced Harry to the traces carved in various places and what each mark represented.

"This way, centaurs and unicorns won't step into the trap when they see it," Ian explained. "But they generally only move around in their own habitats, so it's not a big problem."

"Centaurs?"

"Yes, but they..." Ian heard the slow sound of horse hooves, "Ha, here it is, it's Firenze."

Firenze has platinum hair, the body of a silver-maned horse, and light blue eyes.

"Good evening, Samantha, Ian...and the Potter boys." Firenze glanced at Harry and wagged his tail, "...Mars is very bright tonight."

"Good evening, Firenze." Samantha greeted. Perhaps because of the color of her hair and eyes, she liked this centaur very much.

She showed off the knowledge she had just learned: "Mars is very bright, which means conflict is coming again, right?"

Firenze nodded sadly.

"That's one of the reasons Firenze has a good relationship with us," Ian told Harry. "He's willing to tell us this and, if possible, he's willing to prevent tragedy from happening."

Harry didn't look like he understood.

Hogwarts has issued warnings and requests to the centaurs, but they have made it clear that they cannot disobey God's will and cannot help the unicorns - except for Firenze.

"Mars is extraordinarily bright tonight," Firenze repeated.

"Yes, Firenze," Ian thought, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Can I ask you a favor?"

Firenze looked at Ian expressionlessly.

"I want to see unicorns. You know, they are a little afraid of strangers...so, can I leave Harry to you?"

Firenze looked at Ian, and after a while, he slowly nodded.

Harry looked at them confused.

Ian breathed a sigh of relief, bowed and said, "May the Three Kings bless you."

After saying that, he dragged Samantha away.

"What did you mean by what you just said? Why did you do that?" Samantha asked as she walked to a place where Harry couldn't hear the sound.

"I asked Firenze to tell Harry about Quirrell and Voldemort," Ian said tiredly. "It's hard to say it directly, so I used the three kings and unicorns to hint at it. I hope it was clear enough."

"Can this be said clearly?" Samantha complained, "It's completely incomprehensible."
