Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey

Chapter 61 The Forbidden Book Area

After the afternoon class on the history of magic, Rowan said that he had made some new discoveries and he needed to go to the library to check. Stephen had no choice but to follow Rowan to the library.

Rowan first got the name magic research notebook and opened it. Then he placed the Marauder's Map on the notebook and clicked on the Marauder's Map with his wand. This time he did not say the password, but the Marauder's Map still opened.

Stephen looked at Rowan curiously, wondering what method he used to do this.

Rowan nodded with satisfaction, then looked at the opened notebook, and after a few seconds took the Marauder's Map off the notebook.

"I solemnly swear that I have done no harm." Rowan whispered towards the Marauder's Map.

Stephen thought this was strange. He didn't know what Rowan had done, but he could directly say the correct password.

Rowan placed the Marauder's Map on the table, and the contents inside completely emerged.

"Rowan, what did you do?" Stephen took out a note and wrote.

"This notebook seems to be able to test things with name magic."

Stephen nodded, indicating that he understood. Rowan looked at Stephen's chest and pointed there with a curious look on his face.

Stephen looked down at his clothes, and there was a faint blue light on his chest. He reached into the lining of his robe and pulled out his pocket watch, which was glowing.

Stephen stared at the pocket watch. The blue light emitted by the pocket watch became stronger and stronger until it completely enveloped his whole body. He was struck by the bright light and had to cover his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, he was standing at the door of the library. The library was quiet, and Mrs. Pince was nowhere to be seen.

"This is" Stephen walked into the library and glanced around the environment of the library, "this should be another illusion, but I feel it is a little different from last time."

He walked slowly in the library, and there was a sound of footsteps behind him. Stephen looked back and saw that it was Jacob.

Just like last time, Jacob couldn't see Stephen. He walked straight into the depths of the library, and Stephen hurriedly followed his footsteps.

"He is going into the district." Stephen followed Jacob to the door of the district, and then watched him go in.

"It's just an illusion anyway." Stephen felt that there was no danger anyway, so he followed to see if nothing would happen. He followed Jacob and walked into the area.

Jacob came to a bookshelf, stayed there and looked at it for a while, then took out a book, and he stood there and looked at it for a while.

Stephen felt a little bored just watching Jacob read, so he tried to pull out a book. But it's obvious that he can't do anything about the things in the illusion.

When Jacob finally finished reading, he put the book back on the shelf and left. Stephen walked to the bookshelf curiously, and he felt that there was a book that seemed to attract him.

"Is this the one he was reading just now?" Stephen looked at a book with a black cover. It was not thick, but you could see that except where Jacob was holding it, there was some dust everywhere.

Stephen felt that it was this book that attracted him. He unconsciously reached out his hand, but when he was about to touch it, Stephen reacted.

"Wait, what am I doing?" Stephen realized something was wrong with him and hurriedly pulled his hand back. He remembered that some of the books in the area had the power to confuse people's minds, and once they got lost in them, it would be difficult to pull them out.

"But I shouldn't be able to take this book." Stephen felt very strange. According to his observation, he could not change the illusion, but this book could give him a sense of temptation in reality.

Stephen reached out to a book next to him, and unsurprisingly, his hand went directly through the book.

He hesitated. This vision was indeed strange. The illusion ended when he took out his pocket watch when he saw Jacob take out his pocket watch.

"Yes, pocket watch." Stephen groped around on his body, but did not find the pocket watch. He focused on the book again, "Can I only touch this book?"

Stephen thought that this might be the only way to end the illusion. He stretched out his hand towards the book, and the time seemed to pass very slowly.

Unlike previous attempts, this time he actually touched the book. The moment he touched, Stephen's eyes blurred, and his consciousness became blurred again.

"Stephen, don't be in a daze. You have been looking at the cover of the book in your hand for a long time." Rowan's voice brought Stephen back to his consciousness.

Stephen's eyes gradually regained their energy, and then he saw a black-covered book in his hand. He put the book down and reached into the lining of his robe, where his pocket watch was still.

"Rowan, what just happened to me?" Stephen felt that he needed to understand what just happened.

Rowan looked at him in surprise, but still whispered to him what had just happened, "You just went to the bookshelf opposite us to get this book, and you have been staring at it in a daze."

"What about the Marauder's Map?" Stephen felt a little strange. There seemed to be something wrong with the timeline. This book should not be on the bookshelf here.

"Stephen, are you a little forgetful..." Rowan looked at him speechlessly, "After I finished using the Marauder's Map, you got up and went to get the book."

Stephen nodded and did not dwell on this issue anymore.

He opened the book in his hand. He had to figure out why this book could bring him back from the illusion, and why he found the book from the opposite bookshelf instead of the area when he lost consciousness.

There was no text on the black cover, and when he turned to the first page, there was no record on it. Stephen quickly flipped through the entire book, and he found an even stranger thing. There was nothing in the book.

Stephen waved his hand in front of Rowan's eyes, and then whispered: "Rowan, we have to go to the Room of Requirement now. I have something to tell you."

Mrs. Pince was not confused about Stephen bringing out the book. It seemed that she thought it was not a book in the library. Her reaction made the already confused Stephen even more confused.

"So you are saying that you entered the illusion again and got this book from the district." Rowan and Stephen sat on the sofa in the Room of Requirement and chatted about what had just happened.

"Yes, judging from my brother's expression, this book should have content." Stephen opened the book at will, "But as you can see, there is no content in it."

Rowan frowned. After thinking for a while, he said: "It is possible that some kind of hidden spell was used to hide the content. Stephen, I think this book is probably related to the cursed treasure house. You need to know that your brother Been looking for this.”

"Yeah, I understand." Stephen shrugged helplessly, "But we have no clue, and every clue is fragmented. I think I'd better keep this book and wait until the time comes to solve it. ....."
