Hogwarts Melting Ice Journey
Chapter 16 Penguin Meat with Hot Sauce
"I saw Hagrid's hut." Stephen was riding on the hippogriff, and he could see Hagrid's house in the open land in the distance. "We have to fly there."
"But it's impossible for us to control what's under our butts."
"So we have to jump when we reach the position." Stephen gave his plan. Although it sounds a bit dangerous, this method is probably also... good...
Fortunately, the Hippogriff did not give them a chance to jump off, but "understanding" it stopped next to Hagrid's hut, and Stephen and Merula quickly got off it.
Stephen discovered that it was not because it was considerate, but because there was a rack full of ferret meat next to Hagrid's hut, and he didn't know when Hagrid prepared it.
Merula walked towards the house step by step, but when she reached the stairs, she had trouble. The injury on her leg prevented her from going upstairs in a normal posture. Stephen hurried over to help her, and the ferret meat should be regarded as a thank you gift to the hippogriff, and it would be nice to wait until Hagrid comes back to find a way to compensate him.
Stephen used the unlocking spell on the door, found two chairs inside, and the two of them sat down and took a breather.
"I found that it would be bad luck to appear in the same place with you." Stephen looked at Merula.
"I think it must be you." Merula countered, "If it weren't for my superb use of magic this time, we would all have died in the Forbidden Forest."
"Yeah, if it weren't for you, we wouldn't have had to stay alone in the Forbidden Forest in the first place." Stephen shrugged, "By the way, I know you wrote the letter, but why did Snape come?"
"Hmph, I'm not as despicable as you, and I even asked Professor Flitwick to follow me." Merula glared at Stephen, disdainful of his snitching behavior, "I don't know why Professor Snape went to the key Storage room."
Stephen remembered that it was only September 9rd today, there was still more than a month before Voldemort died, and Snape had not yet started his career of repeated horizontal jumps. From this point of view, cheap brother Jacob is actually Snape's predecessor.
"Could it be a cursed treasure trove?" Stephen expressed his guess, "You said there are clues in it, what clues?"
"Why should I tell you"
"Forget it, I'm not curious about this either. But what exactly is in that treasure house? Oh, the mysterious man is so eager to get it." Stephen tried to use words.
"Humph, I don't know." Merula saw through his clumsy cliché, "Is there no fresh food here? My legs are still hurting."
"Hagrid has giant blood, so he is not prone to these minor injuries, so I think there should be none here." Stephen shook his head and said he didn't want to get up from the chair, "But it will be there later, don't worry. "
Not long after, Holmes flew in, bringing the cloth bag containing the medicine and a note. Stephen first found a handful of fresh juice from the cloth bag and sprinkled it on the wound on Merula's leg, then typed out the note to see what Rowan wrote.
“How does your owl know you need medicine?” Everyone is amazed when they first see Sherlock Holmes bring exactly what is needed. Stephen ignored her and continued to read the content on the note.
Stephen:
I found some clues about the cursed treasure house. I originally wanted to find you as soon as possible, but I think you are still in the Forbidden Forest now. After returning to the dormitory, I found that you had left the bag containing the materials, so I asked Holmes to bring you my letter and your bag.
Looking forward to coming back, Rowan
Stephen thought for a while and wrote his reply on the back of the note:
罗温
I was attacked in the Forbidden Forest, but I was not injured. I will tell you the details when I get back. The cloth bag you asked Holmes to bring just solved the problem I was facing, thank you.
Don't miss it, Stephen
After Stephen finished writing, he handed the note to Holmes and gently touched its little head: "Holmes, this note is for Rowan."
They definitely couldn't go back to the dormitory today, so the two of them could only wait in the room for Hagrid to come back. After waiting like this for an hour, Merula fell asleep just as she started waiting. Seeing that she was sleeping deeply, Stephen took out his notebook and began to study the contents.
"Oh, you're okay, thank you so much Merlin." Hagrid walked in in a hurry, "I left you behind in a hurry, and when I looked back, I couldn't find you. Are you okay, little guys?"
"Shh, Hagrid, keep your voice down, Merula just fell asleep not long ago."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I mean, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Merula was slightly injured, but I've sprinkled white blood on her wound. It should be fine." Stephen put the notebook back into the lining of his robe, "Hagrid, where have you been?"
"A little spider was injured, and I rescued it." Hagrid closed the door. "Why was Buckbeak outside and eating the ferret I wanted to feed him in advance?"
Stephen thought of Aragog. He didn't think that thing was "small" from the bottom of his heart. He shook his head: "We met it when we came back. It took us out of the dense forest and then came here."
"That's really lucky." Hagrid nodded, "I think you are exhausted, would you like some extra food?"
"No rock cake." Stephen took a vaccination first. He felt inexplicable fear of this magical food.
"What is rock cake? I just have some penguin meat, um, and some hot sauce. It's also a gift from some old friends."
Thank God, thanks to Merlin, Hagrid doesn't know how to cook that kind of dark cuisine. Although penguin meat with hot sauce sounds weird, it should still be many times better than rock cake.
"That's really great, I think." Stephen felt that he still didn't want to finish his words, what if Hagrid's hand stretched his hips, "I think Merula will like this."
After a while, Hagrid prepared the penguin meat with spicy sauce. Stephen woke Merula up and asked her to try Hagrid's craftsmanship. After all, a guinea pig who doesn't know the real situation will die much happier than if he knows.
Fortunately, this time Hagrid's skills were extraordinary and the food tasted very good. Stephen thought it might be the hot sauce that masked some of the bad taste.
Since it was already very late, even if Merula's leg healed, they wouldn't be able to return to Hogwarts tonight. So the two of them had to make do with sleeping on the floor in Hagrid's house for the night, but Hagrid's snoring kept waking them up.
"Silent." Stephen cast a silent spell on Hagrid, but it had no effect.
One night passed, and when Hagrid woke up the next day, Merula's dark circles appeared thicker, and Stephen yawned repeatedly.
"Hagrid, we have to go first, so we won't eat penguin meat with hot sauce here." What the two of them wanted to do most now was to go back to bed quickly while there was only one morning class today, and it was two hours later than usual.
