I have a role in the heavens

Chapter 3047: The Three Great Seals of the Great Sun Tathagata, Mahasamadhi and Contemplation of All

Zen Master Lingyou suddenly turned around and looked at the disciple who had just bowed down under him, his eyes widened in disbelief.

In the void, a steady stream of thought power poured into the young man's body. His whole body was covered with a soft layer of Brahma light, and the Buddhist energy in his body instantly transformed into a higher level of power, vast, pure, and infinitely bright.

"Namo Amitabha!"

Zen Master Lingyou whispered the Buddha's name softly, and an invisible Buddha's light lit up from the dusty Buddha beads in his hand, forming a thick curtain of light, wrapping Ji Boyi, who had created countless visions, in it.

"When the Buddha comes, it is time for my Zen sect to flourish!"

Zen Master Lingyou was overjoyed, and bursts of chanting sounds rang out from the acupoints all over the old monk's body, as if communicating with an extremely mysterious pure land, tightly wrapping this hall and isolating this world.

The young man knew nothing about this, and his mind entered an extremely silent state. His body and mind were condensed, and all over his body, the inexplicable breath slowly came in and out, without accumulation or dispersion, as if his own thoughts and the void were supreme. There is contact and integration, and the magical power of the Dharma Realm is drawn in a single thought, reaching the state where Brahma and I are one, and the five aggregates are empty.

"The Dharma is not between the inside and outside, nor in the three worlds. It has no reality and no owner, and its appearance cannot be obtained. There is no combination and no dispersion. It is empty and illusory. Its nature is pure and not polluted. Because it has nothing, the mind and heart are empty and deceitful. Therefore, the Dharma is not one. Different conditions produce non-nature, which is real emptiness. Because it is empty, it has no form, and because it has no form, it has no wishes. Since it has no wishes, it cannot see the birth and death of Dharma. Entering the door of the non-born Dharma, this is the Bodhisattva's view."

A Sanskrit sound that seemed to come from outside the world resounded in the young man's heart, awakening him from his state of meditation.

The young man subconsciously formed a mysterious seal in his hands. He clenched his hands into Vajra fists, with the index finger of his left hand standing straight up. He wrapped the little finger of his right hand around the first joint of his left index finger, and the end of his left index finger supported the first joint of his right thumb. . As soon as this mudra was made, the profound meaning of Zen's intellect, non-duality, Buddhahood, and oneness of confusion and enlightenment lit up in my heart, and an unparalleled powerful force condensed from the void Dharma Realm with this mudra.

At this time, circles of pure and clear Buddha light lit up behind the young man's head, reflecting the majesty of his whole body, as if the Buddha had come into the world, exuding a supreme artistic conception of self-exaltation, domineering, solemn, and sacred.

"This is the Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal!"

Zen Master Lingyou exclaimed and rubbed his eyes in disbelief, suspecting that he had hallucinated.

In Buddhism, the left hand represents the five bodies of living beings, and the right hand is the crown of the five wisdom and five Buddhas. Wearing the crown in the shape of all living beings is called the Great Wisdom Fist Seal in Buddhism, also known as the Supreme Deed of Bodhi, and the guidance of Bodhi. The first wisdom seal, which can destroy the darkness of ignorance, is the Vajra Fist Seal.

However, in Zen Buddhism, it is generally called the Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal, which is one of the hand seals of the Great Sun Tathagata and is the seal of the only Dharmakaya. It can be said to be one of the most powerful mudras in Buddhism.

Even eminent Buddhist monks who have achieved the golden body of Arahant after several lifetimes of reincarnation may not be able to comprehend this most powerful mudra in the void Dharma Realm.

"Buddha appears!"

Zen Master Lingyou was extremely shocked. He looked up at the golden body of Sakyamuni in the main hall. At this time, he had regained his composure and no longer had the infinite vision. He lowered his head and recited the Buddha's name, clasped his hands together, and was extremely pious.

At this moment, the scene just reappeared again. The young man kept moving his hands and formed the big mudra again. His mind entered the supreme realm again. After releasing his hands, he gently placed his left hand on his left knee. On the top, with the palm facing upward, the right hand is like the left hand, overlapping the left hand, with the two thumbs and fingers touching each other. The originally invincible and solemn power gradually dissipated and turned into a static force that sealed all things in the world.

The entire hall seemed to be cut off from the world for a moment. Zen Master Lingyou only felt that the golden body magic power he practiced was as heavy as a mountain in this barrier mudra and could no longer be mobilized.

"Dharma seal!"

The old monk's lifelong state of meditation was destroyed by the young man in front of him. He could no longer remain calm. His lips trembled as he said the name of this big mudra in disbelief.

After the young man formed the Dharma Boundary Seal, he still showed no tendency to stop moving. His hands slowly moved again, as if he was drawing out the ultimate principle of heaven and earth and infinite light.

"Is this what it is?!"

A flush appeared on the old monk's yellow and thin cheeks, and bright light shot out from his old and turbid eyes, like two bright suns, extremely bright and very scary. His cheeks were twisted, showing ferociousness and sadness. His heart was full of envy, jealousy, and hatred. He had always wanted to understand this mudra in his dreams, but now it actually appeared on this disciple who had just become a Buddhist disciple, which made him feel extremely embarrassed.

A transcendental world, as if the strongest power that can reach the other side has condensed and emerged. The young man's fair and slender hands bloomed with crystal Buddha light, and dark cracks bloomed in the surrounding void. Behind the cracks, there is a person with infinite light and eternal life. It seems that as long as the young man releases the power of this mudra, he can directly reach the Pure Land of the Buddha, the origin of all Buddhism.

"It turns out to be the Seal of Freedom in the Vajra Realm!"

The full name of this seal is, the mudra of the assembly of the Great Sun Tathagata and Samaya in the Vajra Realm. It is bound outside the Vajra. The two middle fingers are raised and the upper joint is bent like a sword. The two index fingers are stretched out on the back of the two middle fingers. According to rumors, as long as you complete this mudra, no matter where you are, even in the netherworld, you can directly reach the pure land on the other side and meet the Great Sun Tathagata. It can be said to be one of the Buddhist mudra that hundreds of millions of Buddhists most hope to obtain. head!

"The Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal, the Dharma Realm Seal, and the Vajra Realm Free Seal, together are the three great mudra of the Great Sun Tathagata. If an ordinary person obtains one of them, he can become a Buddha and become an ancestor. Unexpectedly, today, you are entering meditation for the first time. The three major handprints can be seen completely on the body of a young monk in this realm, Lao Monk, it’s true!!!”

Zen Master Lingyou couldn't help himself. In the end, he didn't even know what to say. He only felt sad in his heart. Even a lifetime of meditation state could not stop his sadness. Two lines of hot tears flowed from the corners of his eyes. His expression was sad and he had to raise his head. In this way, tears will not flow out. There is no other way. The old monk can only swallow his sadness alone without anyone to comfort him.

The young man directly dissipated the power of the Great Sun Tathagata's hand seal and did not choose to directly break the void and reach the other shore to meet the Great Sun Tathagata himself, otherwise the old monk would have wanted to die.

Zen Master Lingyou quickly wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes, calmed down his mood, and once again transformed into a virtuous and eminent monk who was unfazed by favors and humiliations. He had a solemn appearance, a solemn expression, and looked at the young man with calm and gentle eyes.

The young man slowly opened his eyes. His eyes were warm and delicate, clear and clear, like the eyes of a glass Buddha. A peaceful and gentle aura spread out. His expression was a bit lazy, and he looked at the old monk calmly. said.

"It turns out that Buddhism is so simple. If you just meditate on it, you can get the faxed Dharma. If I had known better, I wouldn't have asked Master for Dharma!"

As soon as these words came out, Zen Master Lingyou's skinny cheeks kept twitching, and extremely complex emotions surged into his heart. He felt a sense of grievance and discomfort, and his finally calmed down mood surged again. Waves of energy and blood surged into his brain, and he spat out a stream of blood from his mouth. Xuejian fell down, fainted, and shouted a miserable and aggrieved word,

"Buddha is unfair!"

Ji Boyi looked at Zen Master Lingyou who was vomiting blood and fainted, curled his lips slightly, and complained speechlessly.

"Master's psychological quality is too poor. He can't stand such a trivial matter. All these years of practicing Buddhism have gone to a dog's belly!"

Although Ji Boyi was unforgiving, he still jumped in front of Zen Master Lingyou, supported the old monk's arm, put him on the futon and sat down.

After Zen Master Lingyou woke up, his mood was extremely complicated. He really didn't want to face this disciple who had just taken his seat, so he drove him out of the hall directly. He wanted to calm down the complicated emotions and mood alone. If Ji Boyi continued to be with him As he swayed in front of him, he was afraid that he couldn't help but vomit blood again. The gap between people was really too big, even bigger than the gap between humans and dogs.

Ji Boyi slowly walked out of the main hall, his eyes were warm and crystal clear, with a clear brilliance and a solemn appearance, like a eminent monk. He looked back at the golden body of Sakyamuni in the main hall. The majestic and almost overflowing power of thought formed a circle of vast Buddha light, shrouding the entire Miyin Temple in it, suppressing the earth's veins within a thousand miles and evading evil spirits.

The crystal Buddha light shone in Ji Boyi's eyes, and he looked motionlessly at the golden body that seemed to have the Buddha's mind power attached to it. There was always an impulse in his heart to swallow up all these mind powers, but it was a pity that these mind powers were the property of Miyin Temple. He doesn't move easily.

The Supreme Dharma Body deduced by Ji Boyi has a method of absorbing the power of sentient beings' thoughts. After all, Buddhism is best at using mental power to practice. Otherwise, why do you think these bald donkey monks are keen on spreading Buddhism? It is not to gain the power of sentient beings' thoughts and practice. Transform your faith, practice the Buddhist golden body and magical powers, achieve positive results, and ascend to the pure land world.

"Forget it, if I devour the power of all sentient beings in Miyin Temple, the old monk will definitely go crazy. The way he looked at me just now was filled with jealousy!"

Ji Boyi sighed, looking at the majestic power of thought but being unable to move, he really couldn't feel happy. Of course, he was still in a better mood than Zen Master Lingyou.

Rumor has it that when Buddhist disciples enter samadhi for the first time, they will be sensed by the omniscient and omnipotent Buddha, and those with deep wisdom will be given magical powers, seals, etc. In the past, there were not many Buddhist disciples who obtained the three great mudra of the Great Sun Tathagata for the first time in meditation.

For example, the Sixth Patriarch Hui received a root seal inherited from Amitabha Buddha, through which he understood the meaning of the bondage of life and death, the inherent Buddha nature of all living beings; he achieved the ten realms of equality between the five mortals and the five saints, and understood the non-dual principle of mortal saints . It pushed Zen Buddhism to an unprecedented peak in the world.

But even so, the Sixth Patriarch Huineng only received one mudra, and was not able to receive the full set of Amitabha's mudra. How could it be that Ji Boyi, who had just entered the Buddhist sect, was given the entire set of the Great Sun Tathagata's mudra. Such an opportunity, the whole Zen Buddhism has been unheard of since Bodhidharma. No wonder Zen Master Lingyou feels unbalanced in his heart.

Zen Master Lingyou's lifelong practice was only a simplified version of the Dharma Boundary Seal, but his disciple reached the sky in one step and developed the strongest Buddhist magical power he had pursued throughout his life.

If it were an ordinary person encountering such a thing, I am afraid that such differential treatment would have made him jealous, and he would have even died of anger. Even a Buddhist monk like Zen Master Lingyou had to sit for ten days before he could turn his Zen mind Stable, calmed down my mood, and even stood up again after breaking down, comprehending a deeper layer of Buddhism, which can be regarded as something gained.

In the main hall, Zen Master Lingyou was sitting on a futon, with a solemn appearance, a kind expression, and a kind look. He looked at the disciple opposite him with gentle eyes and spoke softly.

"Disciple, do you know what I asked you to do this time?"

Ji Boyi has a handsome face and excellent appearance and bearing. He sat on the futon and looked up at the golden body of Sakyamuni. A trace of greed and heat flashed in his eyes. He shook his head slightly and said calmly.

"Disciple doesn't know!"

Zen Master Lingyou nodded slightly, clasped his hands together, and recited a Buddha's name. His Zen mind was firm and motionless as a mountain, and he asked very solemnly.

"In the past few days, have you ever comprehended any secrets from the three great mudra of the Great Sun Tathagata?"

When Ji Boyi heard this, he understood in his heart, looked calm, looked at Zen Master Lingyou strangely, weighed it in his mind, and then spoke slowly.

"Disciple has gained something!"

Zen Master Lingyou's expression froze when he heard this. He originally thought that even if Ji Boyi obtained the three mudras of the Great Sun Tathagata, he would not be able to comprehend any magical powers of Buddhism. Unexpectedly, this apprentice did not follow the routine and actually understood something. This caused the Zen mind that had just been stabilized to ripple again. He was so frightened that he quickly closed his eyes and recited the Vajra Realm to calm down his mood.

After a long time, the sound of chanting stopped. Zen Master Lingyou clasped his hands together, looked at the handsome young man with calm eyes, and spoke again.

"Disciple, monks don't lie!"

"The Great Sun Tathagata is the fundamental Buddha who transformed the reality of the universe into the Buddha. It is also the fundamental virtue that all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas manifest in their local and universal gates."

"The Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal is the seal of the only Dharma Body. It contains the Buddha's most powerful magical power to subdue demons and can communicate with the Vajra Realm in the Void Dharma Realm. Every blow used can almost cause the end of the world. If you are in human If this seal is used in the world, not only will one's own mana and spirit be drained by the void legal world, but even if one is lucky enough to survive, he will still have to deal with the cause and effect of the death of hundreds of millions of sentient beings. I don't know how many reincarnations it will take to wash it away!"

"Although the Dharma Boundary Seal does not have such terrifying killing power and can be used in the human world, it is not something you can control with your current cultivation level."

"As for the final Diamond Realm Free Seal, you can ignore it. When you need to use it, you will naturally use it."

"How can you understand this?"

Zen Master Lingyou stared at Ji Boyi seriously, as if he suspected that he was lying. With heavy pressure in his eyes, he looked at the handsome young man.

There was no guilt or fear on Ji Boyi's face, his expression was extremely calm, his eyes were as gentle as jade, glowing with a faint Buddha's light. He formed a seal in his hand, and an aura of his only self emanated from his body, and an unparalleled power came from the void Dharma Realm. It condensed and acted on Zen Master Lingyou, causing the golden body magic power he had cultivated to fall into silence and unable to use it at all.

"Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal!"

"How is this possible? You have just stepped into the door of cultivation. How can you find the strength to perform this Mahamudra? This is really unreasonable!"

Zen Master Lingyou felt a sweetness welling up in his throat. He quickly stabilized his Zen mind and recited a Buddha's name loudly.

"Namo Amitabha!"

Zen sounds like Hong Zhongdalu resounded throughout the hall. The Buddha's light was bright and his treasures were solemn. His skinny body looked extremely majestic at this time. A looming golden body of Arhat appeared behind Zen Master Lingyou, majestic and brave, exuding power. The aura withstood the sole power of the Great Sun Dharma Realm Seal.

"You have actually understood the mystery of the Tathagata Tathagata's mudra. Sure enough, you are a man of divine wisdom and a son of Buddha who has come to this world!"

A flash of shock flashed in Zen Master Lingyou's eyes, and he frowned. This is unreasonable. He has not practiced yet, but he can actually comprehend things from the three mudras of Mahavairocana. You know, even with his Even if I practice Buddhism, I dare not say that I can understand the true meaning of Buddhism from it.

"Buddhist Dharma emphasizes sudden enlightenment and step-by-step progress. Although the two are contradictory, they are relative. Although my disciple has realized the three mudras of the Great Sun Tathagata in the state of meditation, you still need to practice step by step and save up. Only with enough mana and telepathy can you have enough strength to display it."

"Maha samatha and vipassanā is the fundamental practice method of our lineage. It is inherited from Sakyamuni and Nagarjuna Bodhisattva. It is divided into three types of samatha and vipassanā: gradual, indefinite, and perfect. After practicing to the end, you will achieve the perfect integration of the three truths. Realm, establish the contemplation of three thousand thoughts in one thought, and clarify the profound purpose of the perfect samatha contemplation method. Disciple, you must study and practice well. Only after you have achieved the state of all views can you formally practice the three great seals of the Great Sun Tathagata, otherwise it will be harmful to you. It’s harmful and useless!”

There are ten chapters in Mahasamadhi-Vipassana, namely the main idea, the explanation of the name, the physical appearance, the photographing method, the partial circle, the convenient method, the correct view, the result, the initiation of teaching, and the return of the purpose, which are referred to as the ten broad chapters.

The first general chapter is the general outline of the book, and the next nine chapters are summarized into five sections: develop a great intention, cultivate great practices, feel great results, split the great net, and return to the great cause. To give a brief outline of the whole book, it is referred to as the five chapters. They are collectively called the Five Strategies and the Ten Guangs.

However, for Ji Youyi, only the seventh chapter of Zhengguan is the most important, because this chapter is the method of practicing samatha and vipassanā, and it is also the center of the whole book.

This book contains a total of ten realms and ten views; the so-called ten realms are the realm of yin, the realm of troubles, the realm of illness, the realm of karma, the realm of demonic things, the realm of meditation, the realm of various views, the realm of conceit, the realm of the two vehicles, and the realm of Bodhisattva ! The ten contemplations include contemplating unimaginable situations, truly generating bodhicitta, being skillful and at ease, breaking the Dharma, clearing up obstructions in knowledge, adjusting the Tao, treating and opening, knowing the order, being able to endure, and being free from the love of Dharma!

The former is the state of one's own understanding of Buddhism, and the latter is the power of practice. Generally speaking, if a Buddhist disciple does not have a heaven-defying opportunity like sudden enlightenment from the beginning of his practice, it will take hundreds of years to reach the realm of all views.

However, Ji Boyi is not an ordinary person. He entered the state of meditation the first time he read this book. Now a few days have passed and he has already entered the state of all views.

"It is not the same as all, and the wrong explanation is called view. It means improper reasoning, clear prejudice, and making decisive interpretations. It is called view. These views may be caused by Zen or hearing. Those who are caused by Zen are called the beginning. Because the mind is calm, the perspective becomes clear, and the insights are clear, just like a wonderful enlightenment."

Only when eminent Buddhist monks have attained the realm of all views and passed away can they be qualified to go to the other side of the Pure Land and meet the Buddha and Bodhisattva. (End of chapter)
