Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 50 Malfoy Manor

"Oh, your mother has been looking for clothes for two hours." Mr. Foley sat at the table and drank a cup of black tea. "What does she want? She just went to have dinner."

Brian sat next to Mr. Foley and smiled: "Isn't she always like this? You should be used to it."

"Yes, that's right." Mr. Foley poured a cup of black tea for Brian.

"By the way, you have a good relationship with Severus, oh, Snape?" Mr. Foley asked.

"Fortunately, I sometimes ask him questions." Brian said, taking a sip of black tea.

"Then he must be very optimistic about you." Mr. Foley looked at him and said with a smile, "Severus even asked me about you at the Slug Club party that day."

"What's going on with me?" Brian raised his eyebrows.

"Well, personality, hobbies, upbringing and so on." Mr. Foley pondered, "He also asked me to tell you that if you have any problems at school, just come to him and he will be happy to solve the problem for you."

"This is nothing like what Professor Snape would say." Brian said softly.

"Ah, yes, I thought he was transferred to someone else." Mr. Foley said with a smile, "So I dare say he must be very optimistic about you, and maybe he will teach you some unique skills."

"You know, his level of Potions and Charms is excellent." It was rare for Mr. Foley, such a arrogant person, to highly admire Snape's abilities.

"Okay, I'll look for him more." Brian gave a quiet smile.

"Perhaps Snape was asked by Dumbledore to pay more attention to me?" he thought.

But what the heck, it won't do him any harm.

They waited for about half an hour, and when the time for dinner was approaching, Mrs. Foley walked out of the room with satisfaction.

She was wearing a dark purple wizard robe, like a classical elegant dress, with her hair in a bud-like bun, and a wide-brimmed hat of the same color on her head.

"Your sense of time is perfect, Mom." Brian looked at the time and said.

"Of course, I never forget time." Mrs. Foley nodded reservedly.

She took Mr. Foley's arm, and they walked out of the door together and disappeared.

When Brian opened his eyes again, he was standing outside another manor.

"Fortunately, our two families are not too far apart." Mr. Foley put the wand back in his pocket and said, "Otherwise it would be really inconvenient."

He rang the doorbell nearby, and the door slowly opened. The two house elves bowed deeply and respectfully, and then led the way for them.

They passed through the wrought-iron gate, and Brian had the illusion of walking through smoke. There are neatly trimmed green trees on both sides, and in front is a beautiful fountain with flowers blooming around it.

The three of them entered the gate, where the Malfoy family was already waiting. Mr. Foley took off his hat and nodded slightly to them.

Brian saw Ms. Narcissa Malfoy for the first time. She had a fair complexion, a very beautiful appearance, and long golden hair hanging down her back. She was wearing a decent black robe with silver patterns, looking noble and elegant.

"Betty, you're here." She hugged Mrs. Foley gently, her voice as soft as a whisper.

The dinner at Malfoy Manor was unexpectedly less formal, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. They sat at the long table and talked about some interesting things. Brian sat next to Draco, feeling inexplicably like he was back in Hogwarts.

After dinner, Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Foley were discussing business in the living room, while the two ladies were talking quietly. As for Brian and Draco, they just eat and play.

The two of them ran to the garden outside. Draco reached out and touched the resting white peacocks. They were very docile and beautiful.

"Dad and the others must have been discussing magic items." Draco said softly, "Dad wants to hide them all in the secret room at home, but some things are too eye-catching."

"To be honest, those people in the Ministry of Magic really have nothing to do." He said, "There are some things I have always wanted, but now I can only get rid of them at a low price."

Brian touched the soft feathers of the white peacock. The peacock tilted its head and stared at him, its small black eyes shining brightly in the night.

"It's better than being caught and confiscated." Brian said softly, fearing to disturb these white peacocks.

"What do you think, let's go over and take a look?" Draco's gray eyes rolled around and he suggested in a low voice, "Maybe we can find some interesting treasures. Dad never lets me touch those things."

"He is right, those dark magic items are very dangerous, and there may be terrible curses on them." Brian said, "Never touch an item if you don't know its characteristics."

"I know, just go and take a look, just don't touch it." Draco pulled Brian into the house, "I overheard it. Dad put them in the study."

They walked through the long corridor, the portraits hanging on the walls watching them silently.

Draco opened the door to the study, and the desk inside was filled with strange things.

Brian looked along the desk and saw beautiful ruby brooches, luxurious black pearl necklaces, seemingly ordinary quill pens, beautiful red dancing shoes, haggard dead heads, strange and weird human bone wind chimes, etc.

Brian stopped Draco from touching a bright red rose that looked like it had just been picked, with dew still on the petals.

"I didn't think about it," Draco said. "It looks like it was just cut from the garden. I wonder if Mum missed one when she was arranging flowers this morning."

"Obviously, only in the early morning can there be such fresh and dewy roses, but now it is evening." Brian bent down and got close to the rose and said, "This kind of item is probably cursed."

"Obviously, if it was placed somewhere, people would be willing to touch it, and then..." Brian paused, "and then they would be cursed."

He looked around at the items, and finally focused on the pile piled together alone.

They were placed in an inconspicuous corner like garbage. If Brian hadn't seen the black-covered diary inside, he would have definitely ignored them.

The diary seemed to be blown by the wind, and Brian saw the familiar name on the first page. He had a new idea.

Brian approached quietly and saw Draco concentrating on admiring a crystal ball that was constantly changing with gorgeous patterns. He quietly reached out to the tattered diary.

"Don't touch that." A palm was placed on his shoulder, making Brian almost jump.

"Ouch, Dad, why are you here..." Draco was also startled. He straightened his back and almost fell down.

Brian looked back and saw Mr. Malfoy, his face was quite serious.

"I know, I'm sorry, Mr. Malfoy." Brian apologized softly.

Lucius nodded slightly and said calmly: "That is a very powerful black magic item that will hurt you. Don't try to explore these things before you have grown up."

"Of course, thank you." Brian said.

"Brian, I didn't know you would be so irrational." Mr. Foley walked in and said in a serious tone, "I thought you would be clear enough to realize the limits of your abilities and know how to protect yourself wisely."

"Sorry, Dad, they are piled in the corner. I thought they were just ordinary things." Brian said helplessly.

"Okay." Mr. Foley glanced at the notebook casually without showing any unnecessary expression.

"These are the things you need to deal with?" He looked at Lucius and asked.

"Well, I need your help to contact this batch. I will ask the Bojin Bock store tomorrow." Lucius said in a low tone. He pointed to the things in this corner and said, "As for these, I will deal with them alone."

Brian and Brian were kicked out of the study. The two looked at each other and walked side by side to the other side of the corridor.

"So, you don't have the position to speak to me at all." Draco said in a long tone, "Didn't you almost get tricked yourself?"

"Yeah... I just thought of a special idea." Brian said softly, his tone as if floating in the clouds.

"What's the idea?" Draco became interested.

"...Guess." Brian smiled mysteriously.
