Hogwarts: Wizards of Eternity
#98 - Are intern college students most suitable to be workers?
Regarding how to create an interesting world, Roger, who came from the information explosion era of the 21st century, has more than thirty years of future insight than people in 1992.
In this regard, Roger alone is enough.
If that doesn't work, Roger can also use his predictive ability to observe the future in a targeted manner. In any case, there will be no shortage of inspiration.
What Roger needs most now is not game planners or similar positions, but basic workers who can make the world more real.
And talents in this area are basically impossible to find in the current wizarding community. Roger can only cultivate them from scratch himself.
Fortunately, everything does not need to start completely from scratch. Roger's creation mode plug-in is like a very mature tool software, saving a lot of trouble.
Roger only needs to teach the wizards some basic skills of programmers and the basic theories of biology, chemistry, and physics to prevent major flaws in the underlying structure of the world.
According to Roger's calculations, with the use of thought acceleration and his own old version of the absolute memory second brain, the training of a batch of 'employees' can be completed in four to six months.
Roger's current base is in Hogwarts. His partners, investment targets, and outsourcing objects are all here. If possible, he would like to attach the training institution to Hogwarts, which would facilitate his management.
Remote teaching is not impossible, but it doesn't feel very convenient.
"But Hogwarts is a place to teach underage wizards magic. Opening a class to teach adult wizards—" Dumbledore frowned slightly.
"The teaching location can be placed in Hogsmeade Village. It's just a nominal affiliation, giving them the qualification to stay nearby for a long time. There's no need for adult wizards to actually enter Hogwarts."
Hogsmeade Village is just a stone's throw away from Hogwarts. If it weren't for concerns about the impact, Roger could make a round trip in one minute with his physical speed, without using magic.
Moreover, Hogwarts students are able to freely travel between Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts on Saturdays after obtaining permission from their guardians.
And Roger, who nominally does not have a guardian, can completely make his own decisions in this regard.
"That would be okay, but it's not certain that the school board will be easy to talk to."
Children and seasoned veterans in society are on two different levels in terms of mentality, although in this idealistic magical world,
the so-called 'maturity' is not necessarily as powerful as the more vibrant minds of children.
But when it comes to other things, it's hard to say what it will be like.
If possible, Dumbledore does not want the two to have too much long-term close contact.
"The school board, huh—"
Speaking of this group of people, Roger also scratched his head a little.
The ownership of Hogwarts belongs to the school board. All reforms concerning the system within the school must be approved by the school board. It's not something Roger and Dumbledore can decide at will.
Previously, the school board passed a resolution on the reform of Muggle Studies, but that was because the bigwigs within the Ministry of Magic who wanted to promote legal reform owed Dumbledore a favor. Under the pressure of repaying the favor, the school board decided to give him face.
That was just a curriculum reform, but Roger's matter this time is more serious in nature.
"I'll find an opportunity to contact them and see what they say," Roger said helplessly.
In fact, there is another simple solution to everything: start with the students of Hogwarts.
But this is theoretically possible, but not practically.
Training is easy to talk about, and with thought acceleration, it's not completely impossible to spare time. The key is after the training is over. Roger's world architecture is not a casual thing that can be played as a part-time job. In fact, it already belongs to social work.
It requires a lot of energy and is very tiring. Considering that it is necessary to keep up with Roger's plan progress, the working hours in the accelerated world may have to reach more than 48 hours a day. If the students are thinking about this thing every day—
Huh?
Roger suddenly thought of something.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, what is the graduate employment rate of Hogwarts students like?"
"Why are you suddenly asking this?" Dumbledore initially looked puzzled, but in the next second, he also reacted.
"Could it be that you want to?"
"Compared to recruiting some idle people from society who have unknown backgrounds and require secondary verification, I think Hogwarts' fresh graduates are more trustworthy."
Roger stated his plan: "If I remember correctly, pure-blood wizards in the school generally have their own family businesses or connections in various industries. Some are very large, and some are just small workshops, but they basically don't have to worry about their future livelihoods."
"But mixed-blood wizards and Muggle-born wizards are different."
There are two types of mixed-blood wizards. One is that the previous generation was still pure-blood, but the parents' generation suddenly started to combine with Muggles.
The other is that they are basically disconnected from the mainstream wizarding society and live more in Muggle society.
The former is easy to talk about, and there is still some family wealth to inherit. The latter depends on personal efforts.
If you can pass the Ultimate Wizard exam, or get along very well with small partners with a lot of resources during school, then graduation is basically a bright future. The Ministry of Magic and other key social positions are beckoning to you.
If you don't have the strength and don't have connections, the basic outcome is a part-time job. If you are lucky, you can become a formal employee in some magical candy factories and other industries, with some old-age security.
As for returning to Muggle society.
Hogwarts is a seven-year system. They spend from the ages of 11 to 18 at Hogwarts, but Muggle society does not recognize Hogwarts degrees.
It's not even as good as graduating from a vocational technical college.
The final outcome is basically the same as those pure-blood wizards, relying on the connections of their parents and family members to arrange jobs in Muggle society.
Directly transfer to a Muggle university?
If they had such strong learning ability, they could directly become outstanding talents by relying on magic. Why bother with these detours.
"If possible, I would like to open a recruitment channel and directly hire on campus. Those who are willing to participate will directly open small classes on campus or in Hogsmeade Village for training."
In this way, the pressure on the school board will be much smaller.
The nature of the matter has changed from adding an adult education institution and interfering, to entrusting the school to jointly train and solve the employment rate of fresh graduates.
"It's just right that it's April now, and this school year will completely end in June, and the seventh-grade students are about to graduate."
The O.W.L. exams are something that fifth-grade students need to take. What students learn in sixth grade will be arranged by the professors based on the exam results. Some advanced courses will only be open to students with good enough grades.
In the seventh grade, everyone basically starts to prepare for their future. Everyone shows their own abilities. Only a very small number of academic masters will continue to take the extremely difficult Ultimate Wizard exam.
In Roger's impression, seventh-grade students are a minority who haven't experienced virtual reality much. Most of them are running around for their future livelihoods. Where do they have time to play games? Even reading books is not very meaningful to them.
Only some academic masters and people who don't worry about their future have played it.
Dumbledore thought for a while and felt that this plan was feasible.
But if this is done, one problem has to be considered.
"What exactly does this job do? How much is the salary and benefits?" This concerns the future of his students. Dumbledore can't let Roger mess around casually.
