Hogwarts: This wizard wants to make progress too much
#140 - Section 140
Harry gave a wry smile and looked at his teammates.
If the weather had been better, he certainly wouldn't be in this state, but now there was really nothing he could do.
He could only occasionally see a flash of gold pass before his eyes, but trying to pinpoint the exact location of the Golden Snitch was a bit difficult.
The others didn't know what to say. Forcing Harry to catch the Golden Snitch would be too much to ask.
"By the way, does anyone know the Bubblehead Charm?"
"If you cast a Bubblehead Charm on me, as long as my glasses don't get splattered with rain, I'll be able to see the Golden Snitch, and then I can catch it."
Looking at his dejected teammates, Harry noticed the spectators above who were using bubble raincoats.
As long as the Bubblehead Charm could cover his head and keep the rain out, he didn't expect his teammates to be capable of Ethan's advanced spellcasting.
"I do, but Ethan just said it would affect the game. Are you sure you want to use it?"
As a seventh-year student, Wood had naturally learned the Bubblehead Charm and could cast it reasonably well, but only in its standard form.
"Yes, it's much better than not being able to see anything at all!"
Harry nodded firmly.
"Alright then!"
Wood thought for a moment and agreed. This was his last year, and he didn't want to have any regrets.
"Bubblehead Charm!"
"Now I can see!"
Harry, with a bubble around his head, ran out into the rain to test it for a moment, then quickly ran back, a hint of surprise on his face.
"Good, let's take advantage of this now! Let's go and take down Slytherin in one go!"
Wood immediately shouted excitedly.
After returning to the field, although Harry was still hit by the cold rain and shivering in the wind, he could see.
After dodging a Bludger once again, Harry weaved through the wind and rain, searching for the Golden Snitch.
Boom!
A huge zigzag of lightning struck the Quidditch pitch, and Harry realized he had to hurry.
Being high in the air made him more susceptible to lightning.
If it struck someone, Madam Pomfrey definitely wouldn't be able to save them.
Just as Harry was about to return to the center of the pitch, through the light of the lightning, he saw a large, shaggy black dog sitting in the empty seats at the very top.
This sudden discovery caused Harry's already frozen hand to slip on his broom, and he dropped a few feet. By the time he regained his balance, the black dog was gone.
"Harry!"
Just as Harry was about to look for the black dog again, Wood's painful cry came from the Gryffindor goalposts:
"Harry, behind you!"
Harry quickly turned around and looked. Draco was swiftly flying across the pitch towards him, and between them, besides the rain, was a tiny golden speck.
Meanwhile, Ethan was squinting at the thick clouds above.
Many magical creatures were gathering above the clouds.
Unsurprisingly, it was the Dementors. He originally thought that after being beaten up, they would be a bit more well-behaved.
He didn't expect them to be so bold.
As for the reason for coming, it was the lure of the feast.
Compared to the lifeless Great Hall that day, the excitement and high emotions of the young wizards watching the Quidditch match were a feast comparable to a Manchu Han Imperial Feast to them.
So now these long-starved Dementors had temporarily forgotten the threat to their lives and come to feed according to their instincts...
"What are you looking at?"
Cho Chang, sitting next to Ethan, looked at him in confusion.
Instead of watching the game, he was looking at the clouds?
"The Dementors are coming!"
Ethan had already decided that he would bind some Dementors as spares later. He didn't mind having more of those things.
However, he still had to wait for the Dementors to make the first move so that he would have an excuse.
For example, as Harry's friend, seeing Harry being hurt and losing control of his emotions would be a good reason.
No one could find fault with that.
Harry rushed halfway and suddenly found the entire Quidditch pitch eerily silent. The wind was still as strong as ever, but it had forgotten to roar, as if he had become deaf.
And a familiar, terrifying chill was coming towards him. Immediately, Harry realized something was wrong. The moment he looked up, at least a hundred Dementors were gathering towards him.
His thoughts began to spin out of control…
And in the eyes of the spectators on the sidelines, hundreds of Dementors emerged from the clouds. Harry froze and lost control, falling from the sky.
Only then did they realize that the Dementors had attacked again, and the first victim was Harry.
Immediately, the little wizards screamed in panic and prepared to run into Hogwarts Castle.
Ethan felt that the time had come and immediately stood up and raised his wand.
Just as Ethan was about to cast the Patronus Charm, a silver-white phoenix flew out of the tower, crashed straight into the Dementor swarm, and radiated a silver-white light all over its body.
Like a blow to the head, the Dementors were awakened. Food was delicious, but it also required life to enjoy.
Immediately, one by one, they turned around and ran.
Leaving behind Ethan, who stood in place with a look of regret.
Ethan was sure that Dumbledore, that old bastard, had definitely prepared the Dementors in advance.
It was to strike before him and not give Ethan a chance to intervene.
It was too much. Was there no trust between people?
The Dementors came and went quickly. The little wizards' Dementor crisis was resolved, and they relaxed and sat down again.
But in just a moment, Draco had caught the Golden Snitch.
He was now raising the golden winged ball high in the cheers of the Slytherin players.
Although most people's attention had been on the Dementors just now and had not seen how Draco caught the Golden Snitch, according to the rules, catching the Golden Snitch ended the game.
Originally, Gryffindor was leading by seventy points, but because Slytherin caught the Golden Snitch, they directly added one hundred and fifty points, now surpassing Gryffindor by eighty points.
However, the audience on the field was not discussing the outcome of this Quidditch match, but the Dementor attack.
Ethan was right. If there was one, there would be two. The Dementors were determined to attack Hogwarts students.
This time, it was on the Quidditch pitch, with all the professors present, and the headmaster himself took action.
What would happen if one encountered a Dementor while alone?
Immediately, they all decided to contact their families upon returning to their dormitories later.
Chapter 178: Completing the Animagus Transformation
The storm and thunder continued until midnight.
Ethan didn't want to wait any longer and immediately ventured into the Forbidden Forest in the heavy rain.
He had been waiting long enough for this day; thankfully, he was in the Scottish Highlands.
If he were in a desert region, he might have had to wait a lifetime.
He blew his whistle, summoned one of the Acromantulas, and had it drag him to their lair.
As the overlords of the Forbidden Forest, the Acromantulas now only feared dragons and Thunderbird; no one else, whether in groups or alone, dared to provoke them.
Ethan was absolutely confident that the potion was safe buried near their lair.
Arriving at the rocks near the lair, Ethan squatted down and dug for about ten minutes before finding the bottle he had buried.
To avoid any interference, he had buried it quite deep.
Moreover, Ethan was afraid that using too much force might break the bottle.
With the faint light of lightning flashing across the sky, Ethan could clearly see that the originally murky liquid inside had turned blood red.
The Death's-head Hawkmoth pupa and Mandrake leaves had all disappeared.
He carefully pocketed the potion and rode the Acromantula back to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
Performing the Animagus transformation here was out of the question; the process involved some risks and couldn't tolerate any mistakes, requiring a quiet and safe environment.
He arrived at the Room of Requirement, where Cassandra and the others were already waiting.
Ethan took out the blood-red potion and showed it to everyone.
After a careful comparison, Cassandra and the others found nothing wrong with the potion and returned it to Ethan.
He went to the central position in the empty space.
Ethan drew his wand, pointed it at his chest, aiming at his heart: "Amato, Animo, Animato, Animagus."
This was the necessary incantation to complete the Animagus transformation.
It needed to be started when burying the crystal bottle of potion, performed once at sunrise and sunset each day.
It couldn't be interrupted, and the timing had to be precise, until one could feel a second heartbeat during the process, which meant they had entered the door.
But even after entering the door, one couldn't stop; this step had to continue until the moment the thunder and storm arrived, and the process would only end after taking the potion.
Therefore, Ethan was now very familiar with this procedure; after feeling his second heart begin to beat again, he downed the blood-red potion in one gulp.
The potion felt ice-cold in his hand, but after entering his throat, it became scalding hot, feeling like his entire mouth and throat were burning, quickly spreading to his stomach and body.
Ethan felt like his whole body was in a furnace.
At the same time, Ethan could clearly feel his heart beating violently, and it was two hearts beating, strangely with different frequencies.
At this moment, the image of the creature about to transform appeared in his mind. It was a large and sturdy dragon with five heads, each with a different color: white, black, green, blue, and red. The massive and sturdy body was covered with beautiful stripes composed of these colors.
The creature image that appeared in his mind at this time was the Animagus form.
Sure enough, there was a connection between the Patronus Charm and the Animagus transformation. If nothing unexpected happened, the animal that appeared in the Patronus Charm would also be the Animagus form.
Dumbledore's Animagus form was definitely a phoenix, and the reason he didn't reveal it was probably because the Animagus form of a magical creature was too terrifying, so he didn't register it and didn't use it in front of others.
Ethan kept sensing himself; the pain was weakening, and the two different heartbeats were also slowing down, gradually synchronizing.
Ethan knew that all his current states were positive, and he just needed to continue to maintain them to complete the Animagus transformation.
As the heartbeats became synchronized, he closed his eyes, and the first Animagus transformation was about to begin.
The first thing he felt was the change in his skin, similar to the dragon transformation state, with a layer of dragon scales beginning to grow, but the dragon scales were now thicker.
Then came the muscles, organs, and all the structures in his body, all undergoing changes. The process was very slow, and the pain was still bearable.
However, during this process, a series of negative emotions such as rage and destruction unconsciously came to Ethan's mind.
The books also had relevant records: stay awake, don't let the animal's thoughts affect you.
Compared to ordinary animal Animagus forms, Ethan's current image was much more difficult to control.
But fortunately, he had stacked a lot of BUFFs, including the mental resistance brought by the "Determination" talent in terms of thinking.
The mental resistance, which had been useless in the past, now showed its effect.
Otherwise, it wouldn't have been so easy for Ethan to remain calm.
During this process, Ethan found that his clothes began to disappear and transformed into dragon scales.
Then his arms completely turned into dragon claws, and his legs could no longer support him standing on two feet.
Forced to land on all fours, Ethan felt some itching on his back and above his buttocks. A thick, scaly black tail protruded first, followed by two dragon wings growing from his back.
Each flap could bring a huge wind pressure to the surroundings, forcing Cassandra and the others to retreat constantly.
Having reached this point, it was impossible to stop, otherwise, there might be one more five-headed dragon-like magical creature in this world.
