Hogwarts: I am the White Demon King

#90 - Chapter 90: How can a mere sum of gold disturb my heart?

With a command, the little wizards scattered and began practicing with their partners.

Harry awkwardly found himself left out, as no one wanted to team up with him.

“Sorry, buddy,” Ron said apologetically, “You’re just too strong. I don’t want to embarrass myself.”

“Harry,” Hermione also said a bit awkwardly, “Honestly, have you considered teaming up with a second or third-year student?”

Teaming up with an older student?

Harry hesitated. He looked around and saw that everyone had basically formed teams.

He originally wanted to find Neville, but discovered that he had already teamed up with Seamus.

“Bang!”

A flash caught Harry's eye, startling him.

He looked closely and saw that Seamus's spell had exploded again, his entire face blackened and his hair turned into an afro.

The surrounding little wizards were also startled. After figuring out what happened, they burst into laughter.

Sebastian came over upon hearing the noise. After confirming that Seamus was alright, he told them to continue practicing.

Immediately afterward, he noticed the lonely Harry. After understanding the situation, Sebastian scanned the area and spotted Malfoy, who was also alone, over in Slytherin.

What a coincidence!

Might as well put these two together.

Among the first years, these two little guys were the closest in strength.

Sebastian walked over to Malfoy and whispered a few words in his ear.

After getting Malfoy's consent, Sebastian brought him over to Harry and paired them up.

As soon as Sebastian left, Malfoy smirked, his eyes flashing with provocation.

“Potter, others may fear you, but I don’t! I was careless yesterday, but today I won’t give you any chances. Bring it on!”

......

Inside the Great Hall, the little wizards were paired up, engaging in dueling practice with high spirits.

Fred and George, the twins who usually loved to cause mischief, were completely without their usual playfulness at this moment. They stood facing each other, focusing on practicing spells, every movement filled with meticulousness and seriousness.

Percy stood next to Penelope, carefully adjusting her stance, his expression focused and gentle, as if admiring a beautiful work of art.

Marcus lay stiffly on the mat, his eyes fixed on the ceiling, patiently waiting for his partner to come and undo the curse on him.

As time passed, the Great Hall became increasingly crowded and chaotic, with little wizards occasionally being accidentally hit by spells from other groups.

Every corner was packed with people, spells danced everywhere, flashing with dazzling light, and the students' shouts mixed with the sounds of colliding spells, making Sebastian's head ache.

Sebastian also noticed that some groups of students had to practice in small areas due to lack of space.

Seeing this scene, Sebastian frowned.

This wouldn't do. The Great Hall was still too small.

He had to think of a better solution!

Suddenly, his eyes lit up and an idea surfaced in his mind.

Why not build a dedicated dueling arena?

A well-equipped, spacious dueling arena!

This would not only solve the crowding and chaos problem, but also provide better training conditions for the little wizards.

The little wizards could come to this arena to practice spells at any time.

If needed, dueling competitions could also be held inside.

No sooner said than done, Sebastian called the professors together and explained his idea to them in detail.

“That’s wonderful, Sebastian,” Professor Flitwick praised the idea. “This way, the little wizards will have a professional place to practice spells.”

Professor McGonagall looked at Sebastian appreciatively: “The arena could be located on the open space next to the Quidditch pitch. There’s plenty of space there.”

“Alright, you guys keep an eye on things here,” Professor McGonagall turned and walked out of the Great Hall. “I’ll go find Dumbledore now and finalize things.”

“Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!” After seeing Sebastian’s gaze, Lockhart revealed a fawning smile. “I, in my personal capacity, will donate ten thousand Galleons!”

Snape looked at Sebastian and said coldly, “If you need help, just ask.”

Professor McGonagall acted very quickly. Before long, she returned to the Great Hall.

She handed a small cloth bag to Sebastian and said kindly to him.

“Dumbledore said he trusts you and wants you to go ahead and do it!”

......

Night, Swan Manor.

Sebastian sat on the sofa, quietly staring at the red gem on the table, looking thoughtful.

At this moment, the bathroom door opened gently, and Mia walked out in her pajamas, her hair still wet.

She raised her wand and waved it gently, her hair instantly becoming dry and smooth, exuding a faint fragrance.

Mia sat down beside Sebastian, her gaze quickly drawn to the gem on the table.

“Sebastian, what kind of stone is this? It’s so beautiful!” she couldn’t help but ask.

Sebastian smiled slightly and gently put his arm around her, letting her lean on his shoulder.

“This is the Sorcerer's Stone, my dear,” he said softly, his voice tinged with mystery.

Mia widened her eyes, her face filled with shock: “The Sorcerer's Stone? The one belonging to Nicolas Flamel?”

“Didn’t you say it was in Dumbledore’s hands?”

“Dumbledore trusts you so much that he let you take it out of Hogwarts?!”

Sebastian nodded, looking at the Sorcerer's Stone on the table, his thoughts in turmoil.

After receiving the cloth bag that Professor McGonagall had given him, he had simply put it in his Undetectable Extension Charm bag and continued to instruct the students.

To be honest, he hadn’t expected the bag to contain the Sorcerer's Stone.

Why was Old Dumbledore suddenly so generous?

The Sorcerer's Stone, which he hadn't even been allowed to look at before, was now directly in his hands!

He had thought that he would have to pay for the construction of the dueling arena himself.

Sebastian was somewhat dazed. He couldn't quite figure out Dumbledore's exact intentions.

He knew that this stone contained endless temptation, and anyone who obtained it could fall into endless greed.

Was this trust?

Or a test?

If it was a test, the cost was a bit high!

Sebastian hesitated for only a moment before becoming full of heroic spirit.

Whether it was trust or a test, now that Old Dumbledore had placed the Sorcerer's Stone in his hands, he couldn't do anything shameful.

Heh heh, mere gold, how could it disrupt my Dao heart!

He would show Old Dumbledore what a true Slytherin was like.

This Sorcerer's Stone would definitely not be misused!

Thinking of this, Sebastian gently stroked Mia's hair, with a firm look in his eyes, slowly telling Mia his thoughts.

Mia raised her head, her eyes locked tightly on Sebastian's face.

Her eyes sparkled with admiration. This man was the hero in her heart.

As if sensing the love in Mia's eyes, Sebastian picked her up and walked towards the bedroom.

The Sorcerer's Stone lay quietly on the table, as if it were an unremarkable stone......
