Harry Potter Morning Light

Chapter 3072 Libation Bearer (3)

The wind blew through the valley, making a whining sound, and the dew-covered grass seemed to be plucked by an invisible hand, reflecting dazzling light in the sun, just like the sweat of the athletes on the Quidditch field.

"This map doesn't seem to show all the places in the castle, such as the secret room." Sirius Black, who was still a teenager, said while looking at the map.

"That's just a legend. No one knows if it really exists." Pomona also looked at the map and said.

"No, I believe it is real." Sirius shook his head, "It's just that the later discoverers hid the entrance again."

"What? Why?" Pomona asked in surprise.

"To enjoy the secret treasure inside." Sirius said expressionlessly.

"Isn't it because it's too dangerous?" Pomona lowered his voice. "I heard there is a basilisk guarding it."

"Do you believe it or not?" Sirius frowned impatiently.

Pomona chuckled.

Sirius looked at her confused, as if he didn't understand why the girl liked "rumors" so much.

Pomona followed Dexter to the vicinity of the History of Magic classroom, but instead of entering the classroom, it took her to a small platform outside the classroom.

There are many such flashy decorations in the castle. The walls of this platform are decorated with many oil paintings, and on the opposite side are some "historical exhibits", such as the horn collected during the goblin rebellion. It is said that they used it to summon men, but It was found broken and stuffed with cheese.

Pomona looked back at Dexter, who had been sniffing around the wall.

"You want to go to the bathroom, right?" Pomona asked.

"Woof!" Dexter sat on the ground, wagging his tail and grinning like he was smiling.

"Do you understand what I said?" Pomona asked again.

"Woof!" Dexter yelled again.

But Pomona wasn't sure whether it really understood.

She took out the wand and used the "original form display", but there was no reaction from the surroundings.

"What are you doing?" said Barnaby.

Pomona turned around and saw that all three of them had arrived, but Hagrid was not there.

"When was the last time you took him to the bathroom?" Pomona asked Barnaby.

"What?" Bannaby asked confused.

Pomona pointed to Dexter sitting on the ground. "It looks like it found something."

Everyone gathered around Dexter, and he suddenly became the "star" that everyone was watching.

But it seems dull...

"Filch's cat is much smarter than him," Tonks couldn't help but say.

"Or Professor Lynn's monkey," Cooper said.

"I'm sorry about that," said Barnaby angrily. "Perhaps you can raise a smarter one of yourselves."

Professor Binns' voice came through the open door. It made people drowsy just listening to it. Everyone sitting in the classroom was probably asleep.

Tonks couldn't help but yawn.

People who went on a night out the night before often caught up on their sleep in history class.

Pomona forced her eyes open, trying to stay awake.

"Is there a secret passage behind this?" Cooper said, and then reached out to touch the wall.

The wall is solid and not walkable like the entrance behind the One-Eyed Witch.

"Where are you?"

Everyone was frightened, and then the students looked around cautiously.

"Am I hallucinating?" Barnaby said nervously. "I heard Snape's voice."

Pomona suddenly remembered the double-sided mirror in her pocket...what excuse was she going to find to escape.

"I heard it too," Cooper said.

"You just said Filch was on patrol too?" Tonks said.

"Yes," Pomona said dryly.

"Are you leaving?" Barnaby asked.

"No, I have a better idea." Cooper looked at the open history classroom and said, "Let's go in."

Then the three students entered the History of Magic classroom and "pretended to sleep". Pomona followed them to the door, but did not enter the classroom. Instead, he found a hidden location and took out the double-sided mirror.

Snape's face was clearly in the mirror, and his expression looked even uglier than usual.

"Where are you?" he asked again.

"We may find a hidden secret passage near the History of Magic classroom," Pomona said, "but we don't know how to get in."

Snape thought.

"Do you still remember that Filius talked about the school's defensive magic?" Pomona took advantage of this moment to ask, "Can it defend against giants?"

He frowned.

"Before Salazar Slytherin left the school, the founders fought in the Giant War."

"Slytherin was also one of the founders of the school," he said coldly.

"What I want to say is that they did not use defensive magic circles during the Giant War. The founders chose this place to build the school because of the strange magical power here." Pomona added, "Later people continued to study how to use it. Its power led to the current defensive magic."

"I remember that," Snape said. "Filius said it was a rumor."

"Let's assume that there was a department dedicated to the study of this mysterious power in ancient times, such as an alchemy classroom, and its entrance was hidden behind a sleeping dragon sculpture." Pomona said. "We have found a similar entrance now."

He fell silent.

"I heard... that the school used to study how to artificially cultivate 'moon stones'." Pomona said.

"Where did you hear that?" he asked.

"Professor Binns," Pomona said with frustration, "I asked him after class."

He looked at her silently.

His eyes seemed to be exploring what kind of nerd would be so interested in a history lesson taught by a ghost.

She thought feebly, actually wanting to hide her face and cry like Myrtle.

"Do you know how to get in?" Snape asked.

"I'm not sure," Pomona said.

"You'll know after you try it!" he said fiercely.

"Don't be so fierce~" Pomona said cringingly, wanting to throw away the mirror in her hand.

He gritted his teeth for a moment, then gave a false smile.

"Please try," he said kindly.

"I am not sure……"

"Try it!"

Pomona curled his lips and returned to the small platform just now.

"Lunars," she whispered.

The end of the wand emits a very soft light that looks like fluorescent light.

"It worked?" Snape asked.

"No." Pomona said. "Maybe I was wrong."

"Maybe it's because it's daytime and Miss Wharton disappeared at night," Snape said.

"Then we'll come back tonight?" Pomona said.

"Dumbledore has agreed that all students will evacuate the school tonight," Snape said.

This time Pomona didn't say "I'm not sure."

"What are you thinking about?" he asked patiently.

"Do you think a whale's cry could collapse a building?" Pomona said.

"Are you kidding?" He looked at her in surprise.

"We heard its beautiful sound from a distance, but it's a big guy." Pomona looked at the fairy horn not far behind him. It was much smaller than the horn used by humans. "Who knows what will happen? Woolen cloth?"

In addition to the vibrations caused by footsteps, there are also sounds that vibrate, and they will pass through every corner of the castle, just like the wind passing through the hall.

"Let's prepare the place where the students will stay tonight." Snape said solemnly.

"I don't think we have that much time to waste, Severus." Pomona shook his head. "We don't know how far the danger is from us."

"I understand what you mean, but not until night," said Snape.

"No, there's another way," Pomona said, then put the mirror back in his pocket and turned away from the small platform.
