Chapter 317 – My Daughter Is Likely A Green Tea (part 6)

Su Jingwan kept crying and crying. “Mum, save me!”

Li Su held Su Jingwan in her arms and felt very uncomfortable. Presumably, Su Jingwan was also like this. No wonder she was so extreme and had blackened so thoroughly!

“Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid. Mum is here. Mum is here.” Li Su could only comfort Su Jingwan in this way.

It wasn’t until Su Jingwan felt her presence that she slowly calmed down. Her hands were still tightly clutching Li Su’s clothes.

The next morning, Su Jingwan opened her eyes and found herself in Li Su’s arms. She was a little dazed when she realised her situation. What happened??

She got up quietly, not wanting to disturb Li Su. Li Su opened her eyes. “Jingwan, are you awake?”

“Mum, what happened to me last night?” Su Jingwan asked, looking at the dark circles on Li Su’s face.

“It’s nothing. You had a nightmare last night. Go take a shower and change your clothes. Your clothes are all sweaty. I didn’t dare to change your clothes in fear that I would startle you again.” Li Su yawned. “I’ll nap for a while. Remember to call me later!” After finishing speaking, she fell asleep on the bed again.

Aunt Zhao had already pushed An’an around outside and bought breakfast on the way. She saw Su Jingwan coming out of the room and said with a smile, “Jingwan is up? You had a nightmare last night and kept yelling for mum to save you. Your mother held you all night.”

“Grandma Zhao, you said that my mother hugged me all night?” Su Jingwan asked.

“Yes. Hurry and wash up. Have breakfast and don’t be late.” Aunt Zhao smiled.

Su Jingwan turned her head to look inside the room and smiled.

The matter of the orphanage came to an end. Li Su was relieved, and life returned to normal.

But one day, after school, Su Jingwan went into her room to change without saying hello.

Li Su was chatting with Aunt Zhao and felt something was wrong, so she quickly followed.

“Jingwan, what’s the matter? Are you unhappy?” Li Su walked to Su Jingwan and sat down.

Su Jingwan held the clothes in her hand, turned her back to Li Su, and said, “I’m not unhappy, I’m fine. Mum, go out and talk to Grandma Zhao. I want to change clothes.”

However, Li Su felt that something was wrong. Seeing that Su Jingwan kept her head down, she forced her to straighten her body. When she raised her head, she found that Su Jingwan’s clothes were covered with pencil marks and her sleeves were scratched. Li Su gently rolled up her sleeves and saw some scrapes on her arms.

“Who did it? Did someone bully you? Who is it? I’ll go find your teacher!” Li Su said, patting the table. School violence was happening in primary schools now?

“Mum, don’t be angry. Trust me. I can handle it. If I can’t handle it, I’ll tell you. Then, would you help me?” Su Jingwan quickly pulled on Li Su and said.

After hearing this, Li Su sat down again. “Jingwan, are you serious? Can you really solve it yourself?”

Su Jingwan nodded earnestly. “They are just jealous that I study well and the teacher likes me. I have a way to resolve it. Mum, I really don’t need you to come forward.” Although it was not just because of this. Those idiots said some stupid things, and it wasn’t necessary for mum to know, or else mum would be sad.

Li Su let out a long sigh. “Jingwan, you are still young. If you encounter any trouble, mum hopes you can tell mum as soon as possible.”

Su Jingwan smiled and took Li Su’s hand. “Mum works so hard, but also has to go to work and take care of younger brother. It’s just a trivial matter. I don’t want mum to worry about it. I can take care of it.”

“It got physical. Is it still a trivial matter?” Li Su said angrily.

Su Jingwan smiled. “They didn’t do it on purpose. Mum, don’t worry. I can really solve it.”

Li Su sighed. “Okay, if you can’t solve it, tell mum right away! Remember?”

Su Jingwan nodded. “I promise!”

“Sit down first. I’ll get the medicine box.” Li Su stood up.

“Thank you, mum!” Su Jingwan smiled sweetly.

Although Li Su said that she would let Su Jingwan handle it herself, she couldn’t rest assured. After talking to her supervisor, she left work early to pick up Su Jingwan from school.

But outside the school, after waiting for a long time, she didn’t see Su Jingwan. Li Su was a little anxious. She told the security guard and went in to find her daughter.

She stood outside the door of class two (2). Li Su saw five or six girls surrounding one person. The person in the middle was her Jingwan. Li Su thought they were bullying Jingwang and was about to rush in.

When she calmed down and took a careful look, it didn’t seem to be the case.

Her Jingwan seemed to be helping others with their homework.

Twenty minutes later, Su Jingwan closed the book. “That’s all for today. Let’s go home!”

“Thank you Jingwan! I’ll treat you to milk tea!”

“I’ll treat you to cake!”

“No need, my mother is about to leave work. I should go home, otherwise my mother will be worried.” Su Jingwan smiled and packed her schoolbag.

“Jingwan, you are really a good person. We misunderstood you before. You are much better than Luo Xinxin.”

Seeing this, Li Su left quietly.

Su Jingwan walked out of the school, talking and laughing with her friends. Everyone else was picked up by their parents. Su Jingwan was just about to go home when she saw her mother standing a small distance away, smiling and waving to her.

“Mum, why are you here?” Su Jingwan hurried over to her mother.

“Mum is here to pick you up from school. Let’s go home!” Li Su said while holding Su Jingwan’s hand.

Su Jingwan nodded with a smile. The mother and daughter walked home holding hands.

A car next to them passed by them. The window was rolled down and a girl leaned out the window and waved to her. “Jingwan, see you at school tomorrow!”

“See you tomorrow!” Su Jingwan also waved.

“Is that your friend?” Li Su asked.

“Mm.” Su Jingwan smiled. Maybe she wasn’t yesterday, but she would be after today. Although she didn’t like those rash girls, instead of worrying her mother, she might as well turn enemies into friends. Then, she could relax at school.

Li Su stroked Su Jingwan’s hair and smiled. No matter what happened, it would be best for Jingwan to handle the small conflicts with her classmates by herself. She could also feel a little relieved.

But after this incident, Li Su still decided to take as much time as possible in the future to take Jingwan to and from school.

Life was very trivial. There were no big problems, only small problems. Jingwan was a very worry-free child and Li Su didn’t need to worry about her studies or life. She was obedient and sensible, went home on time every day, did her homework as soon as she got home, and played with her younger brother after finishing her homework.

What worried Li Su the most was An’an. His physique was not very good and he got sick every season. Even with the help of Aunt Zhao, Li Su was still in a hurry sometimes.

Now, An’an was hospitalised again with pneumonia.

Li Su simply took a few days off to take care of An’an. Fortunately, the supervisors of the unit knew the situation of the Su family, and they were very considerate of her. They approved her leave very readily.

After school, Su Jingwan brought a few people to the hospital.

“Mum! My friends wanted to visit my younger brother. Is that okay?” Su Jingwan asked.

Li Su smiled. “Of course, but this is a hospital after all and there are a lot of germs. You can’t stay for a long time. Just stay for a while and then go home, okay?”

“Yeah!” A few little girls giggled, and approached Li Su. They looked at An’an, who was sleeping.

“Jingwan, is this your younger brother? He’s so cute. He doesn’t look like you!”

“I look like my mother, and my younger brother looks like my father!” Su Jingwan said calmly.

Li Su pursed her lips and smiled.

“Auntie, since Jingwan’s younger brother is sick, will you attend the parents’ open day on Monday?” a little girl stared at Li Su and asked.

Su Jingwan was a little nervous.

Li Su said, “Parents’ open day? Jingwan didn’t say anything!” Li Su glanced at Su Jingwan and saw the hidden tension on her face. Li Su smiled.

“Monday is the Parents’ Open Day and the Young Pioneers enrollment ceremony. As the representative of our first-year outstanding Young Pioneers, Jingwan will speak on stage. Auntie, will you be there?”

“Really? Then I must go!” Li Su said with a smile.

“There’s no need. My younger brother is still sick. Mum, if you went, what about my younger brother?” Su Jingwan hastily stopped her.

“It doesn’t matter. Your younger brother’s illness is much better. Grandma Zhao will work hard!” Li Su was very careful about Su Jingwan’s thoughts. Jingwan actually wanted her to go to school tomorrow, but was embarrassed to say it outright. On the contrary, she let the others talk around the topic. However, tomorrow’s occasion was indeed very important to Jingwan. She wished Li Su could witness this scene with her own eyes, which was not too much. Li Su would definitely go.

However, Li Su would be happier if she could talk to her directly instead of beating around the bush.

Su Jingwan was really happy when she heard what Li Su said. Although she tried her best to hide it, her thoughts were still seen by Li Su.

“Okay, it’s time. You should go back. Jingwan, on behalf of mother, send your friends off! Is there anyone to pick you all up?” Li Su smiled.

“My grandma and the others are waiting for us outside! Don’t worry, Auntie. Jingwan, see you on Monday!”

Su Jingwan sent her friends out.

After she came back, she noticed something and stood in front of Li Su with her head lowered. “Mum, I’m sorry!”

“What’s wrong? Why did you apologise!” Li Su said with a light smile.

“Mum, actually, I really wanted you to go to school on Monday, but I was too embarrassed to speak. I ended up showing a little of my intentions in front of my friends, and they spoke for me. Sorry, mum!” Su Jingwan said.

Li Su didn’t expect this child to be so sensitive to people’s emotions. She gently placed An’an on the bed and pulled Su Jingwan to her side. “The activities on Monday are very important to you. It displays your hard work and excellence. There’s nothing wrong with you wanting your mum to be there. It’s just that you should tell your mum directly instead of having someone else remind me.”

“My younger brother is sick and needs someone to take care of him. Mum has to go to work again. I was afraid…” Su Jingwan said with her head lowered.

“You’re afraid that your mother won’t go, so you let others say something since your mother cares about her face. Then, she would definitely go. Is that how it is?” Li Su asked.

Su Jingwan lowered her head and said nothing.

Li Su smiled helplessly. “You. Mum really doesn’t know whether to praise you or criticise you.” At a young age, she knew so much about people’s emotions and their psychology. “It’s just that you didn’t say anything. How would you know that your mother won’t go? Jingwan, although we are mother and daughter, but mother hopes to be friends with you, the kind of friends who say everything. Mum hopes that you will be able to tell mum directly in the future, okay?”

Su Jingwan threw herself into Li Su’s arms. “I know, mum. I won’t do it again!”
