Chapter 592 Nightmares (2)

Dreams are irrational, illogical, chaotic, disorderly, and unconstrained...

For example, last night, I dreamed that I was in a car accident and experienced what Niu Lifei experienced, as well as the car accidents of other people involved in that incident.

Tonight, the content of my dream was different.

I don't have my own body, I can only watch it like a movie and see a car driving on the highway.

I saw the person in the driver's seat of the car, and that person was myself.

Even though I couldn't see "my" movements, I somehow knew that the car was out of control.

The car then hit the vehicle in front of it.

I could see how "I" was hurt.

The scary thing is that the next second, I saw another car accident.

The vehicle I was driving was crushed, and I watched helplessly as "my" flesh and blood was squeezed out from the gaps in the car's wreckage.

Then came the rolling vehicle. The vehicle rolled on the hillside, and "I" rolled in the car and fell to pieces.

Every "I" has an expressionless face, even if they are crushed or tossed around, they all look at me with blank eyes.

I feel like I'm going crazy, but this dream never ends.

I watched myself die over and over again.

I even saw the hearse containing my body running rampant. After hitting a wall, my body flew out of the window glass and was hit and crushed by a passing truck.

That face still looked at me.

I almost collapsed. I woke up suddenly and found that it was still dark outside.

The sound of my own breathing echoed around the room.

The only sounds were my breathing and my heartbeat.

My heartbeat was so fast, pounding against my chest.

I couldn't help but think of the heart that fell out of my body in the dream just now.

I subconsciously held my chest.

No blood, no wounds, I'm fine now.

My whole body has lost all strength and my mind is empty.

That feeling of not being able to sleep after a nightmare made me nervous and exhausted.

I reached for my phone and checked the time.

0:17.

I didn't go to bed until 10:30, and it's only been an hour and a half, but I don't know how many car accidents I have experienced.

I'm really going crazy.

Can't sleep, don't dare to sleep.

I opened a video website and watched videos while lying on the bed.

I just clicked on the most popular comedy variety show to watch.

The guests were humorous, chatting and laughing. The background sound was the laughter of various audiences, and the barrage also contained content such as "Hahahahahahaha" and "hhhhh".

But I couldn't laugh.

I couldn't get into it, trying to think about what was going on, but I couldn't concentrate at all.

Those horrific images kept popping up in my mind.

I had no choice but to put the phone aside.

The video is still playing, and laughter can be heard.

I suddenly felt that those sounds were a bit scary, so I picked up the phone again and exited the video.

Unable to divert my attention, I considered fighting fire with fire.

There are really a lot of videos about car accidents on the Internet. I randomly searched for car accidents, and a lot of them popped up, including car accident collections.

I used to really have nothing to do with this type of video, but now I feel a little scared just looking at the covers of those videos.

But that’s what happens when you fight fire with fire.

After seeing too much, you become numb, and that’s it.

I took a deep breath and clicked on the video with the most clicks. The title was "A collection of car accidents from various countries, please pay attention to high energy." As soon as the video played, the barrage was filled with various high-energy warnings, such as "it's not too late to leave now", " Is censorship dead?”, “High energy ahead, high energy ahead, high energy ahead”, “Plasma does not cost money”, “Brain does not cost money”... The UP host himself also added a title to remind viewers that the video content will cause discomfort. This static and monotonous opening lasted for about ten seconds before the scene switched.

The first car accident was very explosive. A sports car traveling at high speed hit the opposite direction of an oncoming private car. The private car immediately decomposed and was smashed into pieces. The sports car rolled over and rolled several times on the road. The power pole was broken and the front of the car was completely deformed.

My heart immediately stopped.

Amidst a bunch of barrages of "????", "Holy shit", and "The first one is high energy", the video screen switched again.

Before, it was the footage from the side surveillance camera. Next, it was the front, back, slow playback, and various editing effects to show all the details of the car accident. I even saw the driver of the private car being knocked out of the car. The scene only lasted a moment, and the driver was quickly pushed directly into the wreckage by the sports car. After various surveillance images, there are also close-up images recorded by onlookers or traffic police. You can see the wreckage of the car, you can see blood, you can see part of a human body.

I feel numb all over.

This picture is really bloody and terrifying.

But this is only the first one.

The entire collection is actually more than an hour long, and major and tragic car accidents from all over the world have been collected. Being knocked away, killed, crushed, burned to death, drowned... As long as it is related to cars, everything has been edited by the UP master.

There were many comments saying "I can't stand it anymore" and "I'm going to throw up", but my hands and feet were cold and I just felt terrible.

Merely scary, not disgusting.

I felt like the people who died were myself.

After an hour, I finished reading it completely, and my heartbeat recovered and was not so intense.

I find that my most profound impression of the car accident is not the scene in my nightmare, but the scene of the two cars colliding at the beginning of this video.

I exhaled.

In this way, it should be regarded as fighting fire with fire successfully, right?

I put down my phone and got ready for bed again.

After I closed my eyes, some scenes of the car accident were still replaying in my mind, but I was not so scared anymore. Maybe I had seen too much and became numb.

I don't know how long it took, but I fell asleep.

After falling asleep, my consciousness was still hazy, in a half-asleep and half-awake state, my thoughts were confused and slow.

I gradually found myself outdoors, as if on the road.

I didn’t know why I was standing on the road and where I was going, I just walked like this.

I vaguely knew this was a dream, but I couldn't control my will.

As I walked and walked like this, I smelled the smoke.

Ahead, the wreckage of a car appeared in front of the originally empty road.

I still couldn't control my behavior, and all I knew was that I kept moving forward, rummaging through the car wreckage that was like a mountain of garbage.

I found a hand, severed and bloody, and I knew subconsciously that it was my own hand.

I continued to search and found the broken leg, the body, the piece of flesh, and the head.

Of course that head is mine. Even though it is unrecognizable, I know it is mine.

The dream changed slightly, and I saw a place like an indoor stadium. There were corpses lined up on the ground. They were all mutilated and pieced together. They were all my corpse.

In a blink of an eye, I continued to look for my body in the ruins. There were more and more bodies in the stadium, densely packed.

But my search seems to be endless, as if there are countless people like me who have died in countless car accidents, all piled up there, waiting for me to collect their bodies.

When the sound of the alarm woke me up, I still had that thought in my mind: I still have to look for it, there is still a body inside...

When the alarm ended, I suddenly woke up.
