Chapter 1256 Guangyuan Highway (3)

The people in Qingye carefully organized the collected information, sorted it by time, and listed what happened on Guangyuan Highway one by one.

The time of the earthquake that went viral on the Internet was mentioned first, but it was a rumour. There has never been an earthquake in Tai'an Mountain where Guangyuan Highway is located. The villagers living in the Tai'an Mountains also moved to the northwest area, which was originally vast and sparsely populated, following a general migration of the local area as early as the feudal dynasty. After hundreds of years of development, villages and cities reappeared there, but the new residents did not live in Tai'an Mountain. At most, they lived at the foot of Tai'an Mountain.

The Guangyuan Highway was built in 2000 to benefit the natural resources on the Tai'an Mountains. Tai'an Mountain has dense vegetation and many tall trees. The Guangyuan Highway was built in 2000 to accommodate large trucks loading and unloading timber produced in Tai'an Mountain. The local people decided to plant new saplings while felling trees in Tai'an Mountain to build artificial forests and secondary forests. These efforts went very well in the beginning. It wasn't until July 2002 that an accidental fire broke out in the lumber factory in Tai'an Mountain, causing the lumber factory to be temporarily closed.

The case was relatively complex, and it took a lot of time to conduct on-site inspections and subsequent claims. When everything is over, it will be the end of December 2004. At that time, the municipal team of Suining City had already changed a number of members. The provincial government at the head of Suining City also went through a general election. The top leaders changed, and the city's development positioning also changed at that time. The superiors decided to connect Suining City and Mengxiang, which is separated by a mountain, and establish a high-tech industrial park in a nearby city to connect several cities. It was also at that time that the Guangyuan Highway was decided to be extended, the Guangyuan Highway Tunnel was started, and the original lumber factory was closed.

I thought that the fire in the lumber mill would be the source of everything. Unexpectedly, the Guangyuan Highway was extended and the tunnel was built without any deaths. When the Guangyuan Highway was reopened to traffic in 2007, it was pretty peaceful there.

The only problem is that the construction of the high-tech industrial park is not going smoothly. After being prosperous for a while, there is no progress. Guangyuan Highway did not usher in the expected steady flow of traffic, but instead felt a little deserted.

The first death occurred on February 14, 2009, which was Valentine's Day and the second day of the Lunar New Year that year. The flow of passengers returning home has decreased, and every household across the country is celebrating the Spring Festival. Suining City received an alarm call during the day on February 14, claiming that he had been involved in a car accident on the Guangyuan Highway and needed rescue. The police who rushed to the scene found nothing and did not find the accident vehicle at all. When the police contacted the caller again, the phone had been turned off. On February 18, Mengxiang received a call from the police saying that his family was missing. The person who called the police said that his younger brother came back from a foreign country to celebrate the New Year. He encountered a heavy traffic jam on the road and missed the New Year's Eve. On the evening of February 13, they also contacted by phone, and the younger brother had arrived in Suining City. But after that, there was no news. They had been searching for several days but could not find their brother, so they called the police.

This alarm call is linked to the one received by Suining City on February 14. After communication between the police from the two places, the investigation confirmed that the former caller was the younger brother of the latter caller. They searched Guangyuan Highway again and expanded the search area to include Tai'an Mountain. As a result, the crushed and deformed vehicle and the dead driver inside were found in the woods of Tai'an Mountain.

No one knows how the driver ended up in the woods. There were no wheel marks at the scene, and the car seemed to have appeared out of thin air in the woods. But the car did have damage from the impact.

In the end, the case could only be dropped and simply boiled down to a car accident.

Nangong Yao found photos of the on-site investigation at that time. In the photo, the minivan is crooked and twisted, like a ball of plasticine, stuck between four or five trees. The trunk of each tree requires an adult to open his arms to hug it. There is no such place in the woods. Space for one vehicle to pass. The windshield of the vehicle was shattered, and the driver was hit by glass and branches. His head was bleeding and one eye was pierced by a branch. He died in a miserable state.

There are not many photos taken of Guangyuan Highway. There are only two photos when it was completed and opened to traffic and when the tunnel was built after extension. Compared with those two photos, there is an extra layer of hazy gloom in the photos from the scene of this accident.

I didn't see the driver's ghost on the Guangyuan Highway. It might be that he didn't turn into a ghost, or it might be because I only followed Zheng Motian on the highway in my dream and didn't enter Tai'an Mountain.

Nangong Yao attached a special map to this case.

The crash site was directly above the tunnel.

The second death occurred on March 14, 2009, exactly one month later. It was around 11pm, and it also started with a call to the police. The person who called the police said that he encountered a tunnel collapse in the Guangyuan Highway Tunnel. The collapse was not serious, but something fell off the top of the tunnel and hit the front of his car. His car broke down and couldn't run.

Suining City received the alarm and sent rescue and construction vehicles to inspect the tunnel. This time, they did not return without success. However, when they arrived, they found that the person who called the police was dead. The piece of cement falling from the sky didn't hit the front of the car, but the roof, killing the driver directly.

The police initially thought they had found the wrong vehicle, and later suspected that someone else had called the police, but these two suspicions were quickly eliminated. They changed their minds and carefully inspected the condition of the tunnel. But only one wall fell off in the entire tunnel, and that wall fell off by accident, without any trace of man-made damage.

The incident was also concluded hastily, and no one knew what the truth was.

I looked carefully at the photos taken at the scene. There was also a yin energy in them, but it was more intense than before.

It was probably from that time that the Guangyuan Highway began to have some legends, which became more and more serious after being added to the rumors.

The third incident occurred during this time period, still a month later. On April 14, 2009, someone called the police on Guangyuan Highway, claiming that they saw a van full of skeletons appearing in the middle of the road. When police arrived, they found the vehicle the caller had described.

In the photo, there are six skeletons sitting in a dilapidated van, one on the driver's seat, one on the passenger seat, and three in the back. The last seats of the van were removed, leaving only a small bench and a few snakeskin bags. There was also a skeleton sitting on the small bench.

The police can only roughly speculate that the skeletons must have been dead for two or three years. Their identities are difficult to check. In the snakeskin bag and the skeleton's belongings in the car, the police found drugs and controlled knives, from which they were able to determine the identities of the six people.

Relying on this photo, I am very sure that these skeletons are the ones I saw in my dream. I don’t know what they went through, but from the photos, I see more yin energy.

The Yin Qi in this photo already has some "characteristics", making people seem to be seeing an eerie mountain and forest scenery.

After this incident, someone from Aoba added annotations. According to their speculation, these six people may have been the first deaths on Guangyuan Highway, but many years had passed when they were discovered. Their identities cannot be verified.

I took a breath and looked at the fourth incident on Guangyuan Highway. It was still the 14th of the following month, and only a body was found that had been run over by a car. But the cause of death of the deceased was not trauma, but starvation. The deceased was a homeless man with no relatives, friends, or property. The body was taken directly to the funeral parlor, cremated, and buried in the cemetery.

So far, the Guangyuan Highway has been rumored to be very bad, and the locals are no longer willing to take this road. Municipal maintenance of the road has also become lax.

What happened to the operator happened in May 2010, but it was not the 14th, but the 30th. What happened was similar to what was rumored on the Internet.

However, the online rumors did not mention that during that search, the police not only found the operator's body, but also found eight other car accident scenes.
