American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#9 - Kurtuluo [Part 2] Please read and collect

"This is too absurd! A corporation actually manufactured a Jaeger! And it's a sixth-generation model, surpassing the most advanced fifth-generation ones! When did the world become so magical?"

After incorporating a request to add an unfamiliar Jaeger into the PPDC's Jaeger combat data platform system, Cai Tiantong was still somewhat unable to believe it. He considered himself a genius, but he never imagined that he could rely on himself to enable a corporation to manufacture a Jaeger! Even a technically mature fourth-generation one!

The cost is too high.

The core team for maintaining, repairing, and building a single Jaeger alone consisted of at least several hundred people at its peak! In addition to that, there were numerous teams attached to this project, with clearly defined divisions of labor. Just thinking about the construction funds, technical strength, human resources costs, supporting factories, and industrial capabilities required was enough to drive any corporate manager crazy.

Currently, the Jaeger program is something only countries can afford to play!

If the information is accurate, then Shaw Industries has shattered this perception.

"I don't care how Shaw Industries and Dr. Luke did it, as long as their Jaeger can help us eliminate Kaiju, then I don't care about anything else." Stacker looked at the increasingly intense battle on the virtual screen, his gaze profound. In recent years, with a large portion of funding diverted to the construction of the Anti-Kaiju Wall, he had even resorted to trading Kaiju corpses on the black market for money to maintain the PPDC's operations and Jaeger maintenance. What else could he care about?

His only obsession was to eliminate the Kaiju and find a way to close the wormhole at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

Anyone who can help on this path is his friend!

...

"Hang in there, Shaolin Rogue, headquarters says new support is coming soon." Crimson Typhoon stepped forward to help and encourage the battered Shaolin Rogue. However, a moment of distraction while speaking allowed Knifehead, who was wary of Crimson Typhoon, to seize the opportunity, ditching Shaolin Rogue. Sacrificing a few more wounds on its body, it grabbed Crimson Typhoon's mechanical arm, lifted it high, and slammed it down!

Fortunately, Crimson Typhoon adjusted its angle in mid-air, its metallic waist twisting one hundred and eighty degrees, turning from back to front. In Knifehead's bewildered little eyes, it flipped over, raising its leg, and kicked the monster's abdomen, directly throwing it away.

Roar!

Failing to slam its opponent and instead being thrown, Knifehead angrily flipped itself up in the seawater. Its entire body swelled with rapid, high-frequency breathing, the edges of its muscles and yellow arteries becoming clearer and more conspicuous. Shaolin Rogue, rushing up, was slapped to the ground, one of its metal mechanical arms torn off. After discarding the broken mechanical arm, Knifehead stepped on Shaolin Rogue's chest and directly grabbed for the Jaeger's head. If Crimson Typhoon hadn't stepped forward to help again, Shaolin Rogue's head would have almost been torn off by the furious Knifehead.

"Careful! It's even stronger!" Shaolin Rogue's mechanical arm was torn off, and the energy shield was damaged by the trampling it suffered earlier, greatly reducing its combat power. With Knifehead clearly going berserk, if the Jaeger dared to step forward again in this condition, the pilots could really bid farewell to their beloved Shaolin Rogue in the seawater.

Fortunately, Shaolin Rogue's pilots had already received a reminder from the PPDC, or rather, they didn't need a reminder. They saw an unfamiliar Jaeger with a trail of flames rapidly descending on their Jaeger's virtual screen projection.

It was a strange Jaeger with a skull-like head, with three eyes occupying half of its head. Its back was hunched, bulging high. Judging by the armor thickness, it should be a fighter capable of both offense and defense, just right to replace their Shaolin Rogue in attracting fire in the front, creating opportunities for Crimson Typhoon to attack.

"Brother..."

Shaolin Rogue's pilot brothers were about to greet the newcomer, provide some intelligence assistance and tactics, but before they could finish, a huge red figure flew past their virtual screen, next to the new Jaeger, smashing through a layer of buildings, burying half of its body in the rubble.

The next moment, Knifehead, which had knocked Crimson Typhoon away, rushed forward madly to finish the job. Upon encountering the new blocker, it exerted force with its lower limbs and jumped up, slamming its arms heavily towards the new Jaeger.

Thud!

Kulturo raised its arms, squatted slightly, and its chest cavity energy system output at full power. Under everyone's stunned gaze, Knifehead, who had been unstoppable in its rampage, actually formed a stalemate with it, as if they were locked in a test of strength.

Knifehead now only hated that it was an upright type without a tail. If it had a tail, it could at least give the opponent a lash while its hands were being restrained. It also hated that it didn't have any special long-range attack organs. Unfortunately, it was a pure strength type. However, it had one last trump card, which was its ultimate trump card designed into it! It could fly!

The skin under its armpits suddenly shattered, and Knifehead's violent body began to shrink as if it was leaking air. However, wings like those of a pterosaur appeared in the eyes of the world for the first time. It was preparing to take this iron lump that wouldn't let go into the sky, to let it experience the romance of soaring in the sky and the despair of planetary fall.

However, the next moment, before Knifehead's flapping wings could generate enough power, its four pairs of eyes once again saw its opponent extend two slender mechanical arms from its back, arms that seemed to lack muscle tissue and were only bones. What surprised it even more was that each of these slender mechanical arm palms held a bright blue energy ball that screamed, "Don't touch me!"

So Knifehead struggled even harder, but Kulturo moved faster. The two mechanical arms extending from its back directly shoved one energy ball into Knifehead's big mouth, and the other was pressed into its chest along a wound cut open by Crimson Typhoon.

Blinding light shone inside Knifehead's body, and the wound cut by Crimson Typhoon's saw blade seemed to become an outlet for the violent energy within it. Wisps of electric light snaked out a branch, making Knifehead under the dark clouds look like a shining hedgehog, particularly eye-catching.

Ten seconds passed, and Knifehead, which had been struggling constantly, was now motionless, lifted high into the air by Kulturo like a lump of rotten meat.

...

"Kaiju life signs have disappeared."

At PPDC headquarters, Cai Tiantong reported somewhat numbly. Stacker beside him also stared blankly at the strange Jaeger in the virtual projection, his eyes gleaming with brilliance.

...

Shaw Industries.

The core area of the G3 Jaeger factory.

Shao Zhiwen rushed in with a flurry of people, looking extremely anxious. As soon as he entered, he saw Luke Field taking off the neural helmet from his head. He looked around somewhat stunned, wanting to find the person who could conduct neural synchronization with Luke Field. However, there was only one Luke Field wearing the equipment.

PS: Otachi can fly, and I found information saying that Knifehead was the prototype for the scene where it takes someone down. Knifehead took Shaolin Rogue, but Shaolin Rogue isn't the protagonist's Jaeger, so it couldn't survive the ten-thousand-meter fall. It was destroyed.
