American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#87 - An Jing: Get out of the way and let me do it!

“She didn't seem like this before.” Snoke seriously pondered Quiet's past demeanor in his mind. Although she was somewhat volatile, overall, she was still communicative and obedient.

“Ha, I can't wait to stay far away from that lunatic! You think she ended up with us by choice? It's because her consciousness is extremely unstable in certain situations!” Venom explained to Snoke.

“Specifically?” Snoke watched the three inhuman monsters chasing and fighting each other at Osborn Industries, feeling that he didn't need to step in just yet. Anyway, in his boss's words, if someone else could handle it, he didn't need to act; he was just a backup.

“To put it in human terms, it's like your human schizophrenia! She's normal most of the time, but no one knows when she'll go crazy! She says she hates fighting, but once she starts, it's terrifying!” Venom seemed to recall some terrible memories he didn't want to relive. “In battle, it's best to stay away from her. When she gets excited, she doesn't care if you're an ally.”

“Sounds like you've suffered a lot.” Snoke's tone was laced with amusement.

“Hmph.”

Venom grunted twice. If he could beat that lunatic, he would definitely let her know the power of Venom the Great!

Or maybe he could get his current handler to create a powerful body for him?

Human bodies are indeed fragile, but mechanical bodies are still pleasing to the eye! Especially since mechanical bodies have all sorts of weapons, which Venom liked! He was also a progressive symbiote, willing to accept change. For example, the suit Snoke was wearing suited him well.

Yes, he hadn't parasitized Snoke himself, but rather the suit Snoke was wearing. He never knew that a symbiote could deeply integrate with inanimate objects like machines! Perhaps it was because this machine had a certain degree of artificial intelligence?

Wait a minute!

Venom suddenly realized that he was now parasitizing a mechanical suit, and he felt stronger than when he parasitized a human! The only slightly awkward thing was that he couldn't get emotions or food from the mechanical body. But that wasn't a big problem; Venom was quite accustomed to eating synthetic meals now. So, could he go up and take on Quiet?

For Venom, if he could one day order Quiet around the way she ordered him around, he would laugh himself to death in his dreams.

...

“Little lizard! Where are you? Stop playing hide-and-seek! Come out!” Quiet approached the Lizard's hiding place with a malicious smile. Or rather, the top floor of Osborn Industries!

“Quiet, come help! Stop him from launching that thing.” On the rooftop terrace, Spider-Man Peter was fighting the Lizard for a canister filled with green liquid—the Lizard serum. If it was released using a device on the roof of Osborn Industries, it would create a dense fog that would envelop the entire city.

In this fog, all humans would be transformed into Lizard people. This was the plan Connors had set after being corrupted by the Lizard's collective consciousness.

“Don't order me around!” Quiet rushed up and punched Peter first. Caught off guard, Peter didn't expect Quiet to suddenly attack him. His usually reliable spider-sense suddenly became a bit dull when facing Quiet, causing him to be sent flying in a daze.

“See, that's what happens when you're teammates with Quiet!” Venom said gleefully, watching the scene through the drone in the sky.

Black tentacles snaked out from Quiet's back, snatching the serum canister from the Lizard's hand. She tossed it up and down in her hand, then threw it towards Peter without looking.

“That's mine!” The Lizard jumped up, trying to catch the canister as it flew through the air in an arc. However, Quiet also jumped up, faster and more agile, directly blocking his path and colliding with him in mid-air, tearing and fighting together.

One green and one gray figure, engaged in the wildest and most brutal form of combat in nature, tearing each other apart.

“I'll help.”

Spider-Man, having caught the serum canister, carefully placed it aside and shouted at the two monsters entangled and rolling on the ground.

Quiet's massive body was thrown away by the Lizard, colliding with Spider-Man who jumped over to help. The two tumbled for a distance before Peter stabilized them with his webs.

“I can restrict his movements.” Peter stood up and suggested to Quiet.

“Get out of here! I'll do it myself!” Quiet responded to Peter's suggestion with an impatient expression. She was having fun! She finally got to fight, of course she wanted to enjoy it! This little spider had no tact!

Quiet roared and charged forward, grabbing the Lizard's tail with both claws and swinging him around, left and right, left and right, slamming him seven or eight times, and finally tossing him into the air, her right hand transforming into a huge gray blade, directly cutting off the falling Lizard's agile and powerful tail.

“Now you have no balance.” Quiet smiled cruelly, and before the Lizard could regenerate his severed limb, she charged again. Her hands transformed into various weapons in the process—axes, swords, hammers, black webs, and four gray symbiote arms like tentacles behind her.

The Lizard was almost beaten by these weapons in turn; Quiet was like a weapon master.

Faced with Quiet's serious onslaught, the Lizard retreated again and again with almost no resistance. Green blood spurted out of his body continuously, and one of his limbs suddenly made a cracking sound, and then his body faltered. Only a minute later, the once arrogant Lizard had become a pile of rotten flesh in Quiet's hands.

With a human body, injuries of this magnitude would be fatal, but the Lizard's powerful vitality and self-healing ability still allowed him to survive tenaciously and recover from his injuries at a visible rate. But Quiet didn't attack again, because the Lizard in front of her was constantly changing, the green skin peeling off little by little, the huge body beginning to shrink, and finally revealing a somewhat thin middle-aged man.

“Don't move, hands up!” The police rushed in with their guns, sweeping the muzzles back and forth across the three people.

“Okay, the police always show up last.” Quiet yawned boredly. She recognized the leader as her host's father, so she had indulged herself a bit. Now that she was conscious, she didn't continue to go crazy.
