The dense list caused Stacker Pentecost to pant. He greedily looked at each technology, his finger constantly tapping and scrolling down the virtual screen, examining the data and technical specifications, even though many of them were brief. But Stacker Pentecost didn't care!

What he cared about was where these technologies could be used and how effective they would be!

And these brief explanations suited him perfectly. If he opened the list and it was filled with detailed technical data, it would be like looking at gibberish to him. That was something only the PPDC technicians could understand.

It had to be said that every technology Luke presented was a great test of Stacker Pentecost's will. He couldn't help but imagine how much the Jaeger's combat effectiveness could be improved if the headquarters updated their equipment with these new technologies, and how many of his warriors could survive in battle as a result.

It was clear that Luke Field was sincere in presenting these technologies. Stacker Pentecost even believed that he had almost brought out Shaw Industries' entire foundation.

Technology for technology.

This was common in the early years of the PPDC's establishment, especially during the construction of the first and second generation Jaegers. All member and non-member states' technicians worked together, sharing all technology, to quickly build Jaegers and maintain the deteriorating situation. Subsequently, after the third generation Jaegers, member states developed their own unique Jaeger technologies, and technical barriers and secrecy began.

Stacker Pentecost hesitated because Shaw Industries was not a member state, but just a company.

But then he thought, a company with such technological accumulation was enough to make a technology trade with the PPDC. Moreover, times had changed. Three or four years ago, even if he was tempted by these technologies, it would have been impossible, and he would have had no authority to exchange all of the PPDC's Jaeger technology for them. He would have preferred to use official means, trying to obtain these technologies at the lowest possible cost, or at worst, simply throwing money at it.

But now, the once powerful PPDC was a shadow of its former self, and even the Jaeger Program, which had been highly valued in recent years, had been explicitly shelved. Jaeger bases were being closed, research teams disbanded, and stationed troops withdrawn. Everyone with information knew that the PPDC had no future, and neither did the Jaeger Program.

So, how important were these technologies now?

Three or four years ago, technology exchange would have been unthinkable; the member state councilors behind the PPDC would never have agreed.

Three or four years later, technology exchange seemed not so difficult? At least Stacker Pentecost felt that those Wall supporters didn't mind selling these technologies, which they considered useless, for a good price, or exchanging them for something else. Perhaps in a while, when they withdrew and Stacker automatically became the highest commander of the PPDC without any restraints, he himself could make the decision.

"Are these technologies real?" Stacker Pentecost wondered.

"Absolutely genuine," Luke Field said with a smile. He had waited three years to come to the PPDC to make a deal, and what was it for? It was for this day when the PPDC was at its wit's end. Of course, he could also not make a deal and spend more time reverse-engineering the technology based on the Jaeger information, which was not difficult for him, and he had even done it before. But now, he was willing to give the PPDC a hand in order to perfectly complete the unlock mission, under a legitimate name. And incidentally, level himself up.

"How can I verify it? Are there any prototypes?"

"Crimson Typhoon itself is a product of these technologies. Of course, if you need it, Shaw Industries and I would be happy to help you upgrade your existing Jaegers. But if we do that, your existing Jaegers will have no secrets from us."

"The PPDC's funding is very tight," Stacker Pentecost said absently.

"The funding issue can be put aside for now; we can look at the technical effects first."

"What do you mean?"

"Work first, pay later, technology as money." Luke spread his hands, easily writing off a lot of future profits for Shaw Industries, without notifying Shao Ziwu. However, Luke had discussed and explored this with Shao Ziwu beforehand, and the final result was that Shao Ziwu had no dissatisfaction or objection.

Of course, Stacker Pentecost couldn't really pay nothing at all. At least in the next eight months, although the PPDC's funding was tight, it wasn't so poor that it couldn't come up with any money.

"Happy to cooperate. I will get things settled over there as soon as possible." After a lot of thinking, Stacker Pentecost thought of the plan he had come up with these days and gritted his teeth and agreed. The situation had reached a point of desperation, so he naturally didn't care about some so-called regulations about technology leakage.

"I can arrange to start anytime." The successful Luke Field was also satisfied, just waiting for the moment he got the data.

Walking out of the office, a short-haired woman with an Asian face walked towards him. Stacker Pentecost introduced them: "This is Mako Mori, she will take you around this base. You can ask her anything, I have to go solve a problem."

Luke Field nodded.

In the following time, Luke Field, led by Mako Mori, toured the base, ate in the cafeteria, and finally arrived at the Jaeger Academy training ground.

"Each of them has undergone a lot of training, just to become a Jaeger pilot in the future. But even if they are good enough and work hard enough, it is still difficult to achieve that goal." Mako Mori looked at Luke Field: "Perhaps they will thank you in the future, Dr. Luke."

"Thank me for what?"

"Thank you for lowering the threshold for piloting Jaegers a lot."

Mako Mori smiled: "Before you came, we unexpectedly learned a piece of news that your sixth-generation Jaeger, Crimson Typhoon, has a single pilot neural handshake system. And in my impression, the Jaeger Academy has no information about you at all. You seem to have never received the corresponding selection and training. But you are its operator, its pilot."

"What do you want to say?" Luke asked.

"Shaw Industries, or rather, Dr. Luke, should have improved the neural handshake technology, making it somewhat universal, right?" Mako Mori said, her face full of expectation, her black pupils staring unblinkingly at Luke Field.

"You are very smart, Miss Mako Mori. Perhaps, in the near future, you will soon be able to experience this technology." Luke Field gave a positive answer.
