Chapter 498 Westward Journey

Chapter 498 Westward Journey
It can save the dead from ascending to heaven, save the dead from suffering, untie the knot of injustice, and eliminate disasters without reason.

Tang Wang was quite shocked, and couldn't help asking: "Master, do you still remember Mahayana Buddhism?"

The ugly monk nodded and said, "Of course I remember."

Taizong was overjoyed and said, "Let the mage come to the stage and give a lecture!"

The ugly monk smiled and said nothing.

Suddenly, he flew up to the high platform together with the novice monk beside him, and then ascended all the way, stepping on the auspicious clouds, and flew into the nine clouds, revealing his real body.

But it was a compassionate and beautiful Jurchen, with a yellow-haired and red-billed parrot flying in front of her, holding a clean bottle of mercy and a willow in her hand.On the left is a walker, clinging to an iron rod and full of energy.

But it is Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Hui'an Walker who save the suffering.

The king of Tang, all the civil and military ministers, and the people were all dumbfounded. The temple was full of monks, nuns, Taoists, scholars, farmers, and merchants, and everyone knelt down to pray.

Everyone is chanting: "Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva."

The king of Tang sent an edict to summon Wu Daozi, the saint of painting, to paint the true image of the Bodhisattva.

After Wu Daozi arrived, he began to draw wonderful paintings to describe the Bodhisattva.

The Bodhisattva's auspicious cloud gradually flew away, and soon disappeared in the air. When everyone was feeling lost, they saw a slip of paper slipping down from mid-air, with a few words of praise written on it.

"Greetings to the Great Tang Lord, there are wonderful writings in the west. The journey is one hundred and eight thousand miles, and the Mahayana is diligent. When this scripture returns to the Shang Kingdom, it can surpass ghosts and go out. If anyone is willing to go, seek the golden body of the true fruit."

Tang Wang read the eulogy on the post, and his heart moved: "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva refuses to preach Dafa, is it because I think my heart is not sincere?"

After pondering for a moment, the king of Tang passed down his order to the monks: "The water and land conference is over for the time being. After I send people to retrieve the Mahayana Buddhist scriptures, I will concentrate on reconvening the conference to achieve good results."

All the monks responded in unison.

"Who is willing to accept my will and go to the western heavens to worship Buddha and ask for scriptures?" Tang Wang asked again.

Suddenly, all the monks looked at each other in silence.

The road to Tianzhu is far away, the road is difficult and dangerous, not to mention the mountains and rivers, there are countless bandits, bandits, demons and ghosts, and it is clearly a mission to get the scriptures.

These great virtuous and eminent monks live a good life, but they are unwilling to take risks.

When Tang Wang was disappointed, a person appeared beside him, but it was Master Xuanzang.

"The poor monk is not talented. I would like to do the work of a dog and a horse and go to the West to obtain the scriptures for your majesty. I pray that my king's country will last forever." Master Xuanzang saluted.

"Okay, okay!" Tang Wang was overjoyed, stepped forward to help him up, and said, "Master is indeed loyal and wise, not afraid of long journeys, trekking mountains and rivers, I would like to worship you as a brother."

Xuanzang knelt down to thank him.

Tang Wang and Xuanzang entered the temple, worshiped four times in front of the Buddha, and became brothers.

"Your Majesty, how can a poor monk be so virtuous and capable that he can bear such a favor? If he goes to the Western Heaven, he will do his best. If he does not reach the Western Heaven and does not get the scriptures, he will not dare to return home even if he dies, and will fall into hell forever." Xuanzang told Tang Dynasty. Wang was very grateful for the courtesy and made a big wish.

Or, it can also be called a poison oath!
The king of Tang immediately became more joyful, and the gaze he looked at Xuanzang was even more appreciative.

After the king of Tang Dynasty returned to the palace, Xuanzang returned to his home Hongfu Temple.

"Master vowed to go to the west to learn Buddhist scriptures, is it true?" the monk and several disciples in the temple stepped forward and asked.

"It's true." Xuanzang said.

"Master, I often hear people say that there are tigers, leopards, and monsters in the far west. I'm afraid that if they go there and never return, they will not be able to protect their lives!" the apprentice persuaded.

"I have already made a great vow. If I don't take the scriptures, I will sink into hell forever. I have been favored by Your Majesty, so I have to serve the country faithfully." Master Xuanzang also became sober at this moment, and his expression became a little sad. Going is really slim, good or bad is uncertain."

He is a person with a firm will. Once he has made a decision, he will not give up easily.

It's just that Xuanzang himself couldn't explain why his blood surged up and he took the initiative to take on the important task of learning scriptures.

It seems that there is a voice in the dark, constantly whispering in the ear: "Learn from the scriptures..."

"Apprentices, after I go, or two or three years, or six or seven years, as long as you see the pine branches facing the east in the mountain gate, then I have returned." Xuanzang said.

All the disciples immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Going to the West Paradise, if Xuanzang insisted on taking them with him, as disciples, it would be difficult for them to refuse. Besides, there was an imperial decree from the Tang king, even if they refused, there would be no good results.

Now Xuanzang's words showed that he would not ask the disciples to go together, and all the disciples were relieved.

On the second day, the king of Tang set up a court meeting, gathered ministers of civil and military affairs, wrote down the scripture collection document, and used Tongxing Baoyin to announce Master Xuanzang to the Jinluan Palace.

"Brother Yu, today is an auspicious day for traveling. This is the document for customs clearance. I have another purple gold bowl, which I will send you for alms on the way. Choose two servants, a BMW, as the strength for your long journey, and you can start here. " Tang Wang said.

"Thank you Your Majesty for your kindness, I will set off now." Xuanzang silently received many things and thanked the Tang king for his kindness.

After Xuanzang received the things and packed his luggage, he didn't miss it, and immediately planned to leave Chang'an City for a trip.

The king of Tang led all the civil and military officials to send him to the outside of the city gate.

"The Bodhisattva said that there is a Tripitaka of Mahayana Buddhist scriptures in the western heavens, and my younger brother can take an elegant name, how about calling it Tripitaka?" The king of Tang ordered someone to pour wine to Master Xuanzang.

"Thank you Your Majesty for your grace."

Master Xuanzang thanked him again, drank the farewell wine in one gulp, and then went straight out of the gate and headed to the west.

……

After Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Hui An soared to heaven, they headed west.

Soon came to the junction of Nanzhan Buzhou and Xiniu Hezhou, suddenly there was a lot of golden light and a thousand auras in front of him, and the cloud head was pressed down immediately, and it descended.

"Master, the place where the light shines is the Five Elements Mountain, and there is a Tathagata pressing over there." Hui An pointed to the place where the light shines.

"It turned out to be Wang Fan, the demon suppressing general, but now he is suppressed here." Bodhisattva said.

The two masters and apprentices went up the mountain together and looked at the post. It was the six golden mantras of "Om Mani Padme Hum".

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva sighed after seeing it.

She took Hui An down the mountain to look again, only to see that under the rocky cliff, there were land, mountain gods, and heavenly soldiers and generals who guarded Wang Fan. They all came forward to pay homage to the Bodhisattva.

"The poor monk is going to see General Wang," said the Bodhisattva.

The gods looked distressed, but they didn't dare to stop them, so they had to get out of the way.

At the end of the road, it was not a stone gate, but a hard and abrupt mountain wall. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva smiled, turned a blind eye, and ran towards the mountain wall.

Suddenly, there was a layer of ripples in the air, and the moment she touched the stone wall, her body suddenly became blurred, blended into it, and disappeared.
