Chapter 333 Xiaojiabiyu! [Fourth update!Ask for a ticket]

After breakfast, Zhang Feng rushed to his next stop - the town of Sully, the gateway to the castle complex in the Loire Valley. Naturally, Sully Castle is also the first stop of the castle complex.

Sully Castle is located at the intersection of several roads: three land routes and one water route. This unique geographical advantage makes it the commercial center of Sologne and Berry, so the castle was built, but people do not know which one it can be traced back to Era.

The medieval fortress was listed as a cultural monument in 1928.The castle retains its distinctive features: its moats are still filled with water, and its huge towers and imposing watchtowers have conical roofs.

Zhang Feng also learned about Sully Castle's prominent and mysterious life experience through special channels.

At the end of the 14th century, the Taimoy family became the new owner of the Sully manor. He ordered a tower from the architect Raymond Dutempel to defend the upper channel of the Loire. This tower is the basic structure of the castle today.

In 1602, Max Millend Bettner, Marquess of Rosney, chancellor to Henry IV, bought Sully Manor, the most prominent owner in the castle's history.

Max Millian de Bettner was born in 1559 at the Château de Rosny (Yvelines) on the banks of the Seine. He embraced Protestantism and escaped the night of the Saint Bartholomew's Day Massacre in 1572. As a young man he followed The future Henry IV fought everywhere and finally reconquered the Kingdom of France.

Beginning in 1598, France, after 30 years of religious wars, began a new development. As the main minister of the court and a loyal friend of the king, he held several positions and had great responsibilities (he especially took on the important position of chief financial officer). He cleaned up finances, developed agriculture and commerce, strengthened defense, and built a transportation network.

At the same time, he also purchased a generous estate for himself. In 1602, he bought the castle of Sully-sur-Loire, and the huge construction project started.

1606 was the most prosperous year in Max Millende Bettner's life. He became a duke and an important minister of France. From then on, he was named after his territory. In the history books, he was called the Duke of Sully.

Henry IV died in 1610, and in 1611 he gradually resigned from various positions to devote himself to managing his vast wealth and writing his memoirs, The Royal Economy, which was printed in Sully in 1638.

Max Millend Bettner died in 1641 at his château de Villebon (Eure-Tour) at the age of 82.

For almost four centuries the castle was owned by descendants of the Dukes of Sully.

Classified as a historical monument in 1928, the Château de Sully-sur-Loire was purchased in 1962 by the Provincial Council of Loiret.

The interior of Sully Castle is not to be missed, what to see:

It's a pity that Zhang Feng didn't have the chance to visit because of some problems here, and left this nostalgic town after only a quick circle around the castle.

Before seeing other castles, he thought Sully Castle was really magnificent, but when Chambord suddenly appeared in front of him, Zhang Feng suddenly realized the difference between local tyrants and royal families.

Zhang Feng was amazed by the strange and fantastic roofs of Chambord, which were messy yet coordinated.

Chambord is more than just a castle. It is a remarkable work of architecture, a technical feat, a monolith of stone... It was the dream of the young King François I.

Francois I loved sports and hunting since he was a child. He decided to build a palace here since he took the throne. The project started in 1519 when the king was 25 years old and lasted for hundreds of years. Francois I, his son Henry II and other kings did not complete their success until the era of the Sun King Louis XIV.

It has 440 halls, 282 chimneys, 77 staircases... This majestic castle is undoubtedly a symbol and model of Renaissance art.

It is said that a certain monarch did not like Chambord very much because of the reason: too many windows!Too many windows? ?Too many windows, dear! And Fried Milk Powder really hopes that the room he lives in will be full of windows! It has to be as high as the French style!
Not-to-be-missed places in Chambord: the double helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci, the suites of François I, the suites of Louis XIV, the Chapel Royal, the terrace...

To truly understand Chambord, you should also visit the forest surrounding Chambord, "the forest as big as Paris" covers an area of 5540 hectares and was chosen by François I as his favorite hunting ground. Today, the forest of Chambord There are many wild animals living freely here (elk, wild boar, osprey, salamander...).

There was a simple coffee shop outside Chambord. Zhang Feng ordered some Espresso and desserts for lunch, and quietly watched this masterpiece shrouded in a blue velvet sky.

Drive from Chambord to the next castle: the royal castle of Blois.

Unlike other castles, Blois Castle is located in the small town of Blois, so it does not have the momentum of other castles in the wilderness, and looks like a small family.

The small town of Blois is close to the Blois River, and the streets and buildings reveal the charm of the Middle Ages everywhere.Zhang Feng parked his car and walked towards the castle along the alleys. He rarely met tourists, let alone local residents.

The Royal Castle of Blois is similar to the Royal Courtyard in China, but the buildings on the four sides are of different ages and styles, each representing the most popular design in the construction period. Many anecdotes about Louis XII, Francois I and Henry III happened here.

The French Emperor Louis XII was born in the Royal Castle of Blois. The statue of Louis XII in the alcove above the flame-shaped gate on the front facade is said to be made according to the one-to-one ratio of Louis XII and his BMW , the production is very exquisite, and it is still beautiful after eight centuries of wind and rain.
