Chapter 9 No.19 Education Order

Seamus Finnigan's tragic explosion in Potions soon spread throughout the school.

This story has been passed down and evolved into many versions.

It started with "Finnigan blew up the cauldron and hurt Snape, Gryffindor got 100 points."

By the time it got to dinner on Tuesday, the story had become "Finnigan blew up the dungeon, killed Snape by the way, and Gryffindor got 300 points deducted."

Peter didn't pay much attention to it, and he spent the whole day preparing his Defense Against the Dark Arts carefully.

He is a rigorous and conscientious person, and he must be fully prepared for everything. This is the creed he summed up during his precarious undercover career.

Because of this, he has to engrave hundreds of items and creatures in his mind in advance and package them up so that he can deal with battles at any time.

His wand was not placed in his pocket like other wizards, but in a long and thin pouch on his belt for wands.

Just like the saber on the waist of an ancient knight, it is ready to be unsheathed at any time.

The British magic world has been peaceful for more than ten years, and the habits Peter developed during the war have not changed at all.

At dinner time his preparations were finally complete.

He made his way to dinner easily in the Great Hall, taking his usual seat next to Dumbledore.

However, since the opening ceremony, Dumbledore has not appeared, and the high principal's throne has been empty.

Peter inevitably met a sullen Snape at the teacher's table.

This makes the outrageous rumor that "Snape was blown up by Seamus Finnigan" unfounded.

Seeing Peter, Snape gave him a resentful look.

For this attitude, Peter had already expected it, and too many unpleasant things had happened between them.

He had been deliberately avoiding Snape these days.

Looking at Snape's mutilated face and hands made him sad again.

Snape probably wouldn't let go of his hatred of the Marauders until his death.

Indeed, they are not entitled to ask the victim for forgiveness.

Just as Peter ate a tender and juicy lamb chop, the small door behind the teacher's bench opened.

Professor McGonagall walked in quickly, every line on her face was filled with displeasure.

There were several people with her, whose names Peter could not pronounce.

"Look, Dumbledore is not here," said Professor McGonagall bluntly, "he is the headmaster here, and this matter must be approved by him."

Those people exchanged winks, and the short, fat woman in the lead gave a sweet smirk.

This woman has a wide flat mouth, a pink girly bow on her hair, and a fuzzy pink cardigan, just like a pink toad.

"My dear Minerva, that was in the past, and now the Board of Magical Education has taken over Hogwarts," said the dumpy woman.

"Magic Education Committee?" Professor McGonagall frowned and said, "I only know that the headmaster has the right to manage this school!"

The pudgy woman's smirk widened.

"Then you probably haven't seen the new education order signed by the Minister for Magic."

As she spoke, she took out a piece of parchment from her bosom, and proudly read aloud:

***No.19 Education Order***
The Magical Education Committee is hereby established and authorized to manage the teaching of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with Dolores Jane Umbridge as the chief teaching quality supervisor.

Minister for Magic: Batimire Crouch

1994/9/2

After hearing this, Professor McGonagall tightly pursed her lips, apparently restraining her anger.

Peter had almost finished eating. He stood up and walked to Professor McGonagall, silently stating his position.

"Therefore, with immediate effect, I, Dolores Umbridge, the chief teaching quality supervisor, have decided to hold a teaching quality appraisal at Hogwarts." Umbridge said pretentiously.

"I believe that dismissing one or two incompetent teachers can greatly improve the quality of teaching and allow our foreign guests to see a completely new Hogwarts."

Speaking of which, Umbridge shook his head to both sides, showing a considerate smile.

"I think Hogwarts teachers are very competent." Peter said calmly.

"Really?" Umbridge took out a notebook, "I discovered the following problems today."

She opened her notebook and read aloud:

"First, Principal Dumbledore hired the murderous former Death Eater Peter Peddie as a professor, seriously damaging the reputation and image of the school."

Professor McGonagall couldn't help rolling his eyes, and Peter raised his eyebrows sarcastically.

It seemed that Umbridge didn't know him at all.

And she's also read "Peter Pedillo: Crime and Lies Beneath the Legend."

"Secondly, it is said that there was a serious teaching accident this morning. A potions teacher named Sif... Severus Snape was killed by a student explosion, which shows the low level of teaching."

"Third, many incompetent teachers have been on the job for a long time—"

"It's Severus Snape." A deep voice interrupted her.

Umbridge was very unhappy to be interrupted, but she put on a falsely amiable gesture and said:

"Speaking?"

"You mispronounced my name." Snape had already walked up to Professor McGonagall, but he stayed as far away from Peter as possible, "And I haven't heard that funny story about me getting killed."

Umbridge raised his head, glanced at Snape's face, then at his left hand, and took two steps back in a fuss.

"My God, Minerva," Umbridge said shrillly to Professor McGonagall, "what's the matter, was he blown up and maimed by the students?"

Professor McGonagall was so angry that he raised his tone: "No, Dolores, we have never had any serious teaching accidents that resulted in teacher casualties!"

Umbridge looked at Snape with disgust, and whispered to several Ministry of Magic staff around her.

"Very well, I probably have a preliminary direction for the optimization of the teaching staff." After finishing the conversation, Umbridge looked at Snape and said, "The existence of such disabled teachers is bound to greatly affect Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Witchcraft and Wizardry. international image."

"Is this the criteria you use to select teachers?" Peter blurted out, "I dare say Severus Snape is more talented in Potions than all three of you put together!"

Snape's expression changed, his eyes widened in surprise.

He turned to look at Peter as if it was the first day he knew this man.

He could never have imagined that one day Wormtail Peter Pedillo would speak for him.

In fact, Peter didn't know why he was speaking for Snape, maybe it was because Dolores Umbridge's hypocrisy and snobbery turned his stomach.

Maybe it was because he had a little sympathy and admiration for Snape in his heart.

He never liked Snape, couldn't stand Snape's horrible personality.

But he remembered that Snape never succumbed to the marauders when he was a student.

And now Peter watched Snape stand condescendingly in front of Dolores Umbridge, coldly taking insults.

He couldn't help feeling that Snape's attitude towards fate was still so tough.
