Chapter 10 The First Lesson
The smirk on Umbridge's face disappeared at such a rebuttal, as did the little girl's voice.

"Who are you?" she asked sharply, picking up her notebook to record.

"Peter Peddie Road," said Peter flatly.

Umbridge raised his head and looked Peter from top to bottom.

"Oh, it's no wonder, so you are the murderous ex-Death Eater."

As she spoke, she glanced at Snape in disgust again, the process was brief, as if she was trying to avoid any interaction with such an unseemly person as he was.

Snape also looked at her coldly.

"Very well, Minerva," Umbridge began to smirk again, "I have determined a general work direction tonight, and I will start teaching evaluation tomorrow."

After speaking, she led other Ministry of Magic staff out through the small door behind the teacher's bench.

"Wait a minute," Snape said behind her, "I think this was Lucius Malfoy's idea."

Lucius Malfoy is Draco Malfoy's father, who was once one of the mysterious men.

After the battle, he claimed that he was under the Imperius Curse and successfully evaded sanctions.

He does not serve in the Ministry of Magic, but he relies on generous donations and extensive contacts to exert a profound influence on the Ministry of Magic.

Dissatisfied with Dumbledore's pro-Muggle stance, Lucius has been trying to remove Dumbledore from his position as headmaster for years.

In addition, this semester has just started, and his beloved son Draco has suffered a lot of grievances at the hands of the new professors Peddie and Professor Snape.

It is not unexpected that Lucius deliberately took advantage of the Triwizard Cup to attack the school.

This "No.19 Education Order" is probably his good idea.

The choice of Dolores Umbridge as the so-called "chief teaching quality overseer" is also a good choice.

She is a moderate official in the Ministry of Magic, and Mr. Crouch doesn't think highly of her.

Her ability can't be said to be strong, and she can't accomplish anything big.

But when it comes to who's the best at messing things up, Dolores Umbridge is hard to find.

Upon hearing Snape's words, Umbridge stopped and said contemptuously, "Does this have anything to do with you?"

"Lucius is an old acquaintance of mine." Snape said slowly.

His expression was a little weird, it was hard to tell whether it was ridicule or hatred.

Umbridge snorted and walked straight out of the auditorium, not bothering to answer Snape's words.

That night Peter talked with Professor McGonagall for a while, mainly about the "No. 19 Education Order".

Professor McGonagall was very angry, and Peter was much calmer than she.

The teachers are nothing more than to endure the dictates of the Magic Education Committee, and it is even less likely that Dumbledore will be easily swayed by someone like Malfoy.

Compared with those real dangers, this little trouble is almost nothing.

It's worth mentioning that after a brief moment of surprise, Snape's attitude towards Peter didn't look any better.

He just said hello to Professor McGonagall when he left the table after dinner, completely treating Peter like a cloud of air.

The next morning, many copies of the "No.19 Education Order" were posted on the bulletin board.

The housekeeper, Argus Filch, took the job seriously.

Umbridge arrived at the school at breakfast with her Council of Magical Education.

The Hogwarts Great Hall seemed to be getting more crowded with Umbridge's corpulent figure.

The second class in the morning is Peter's Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

He came to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom very early.

This classroom is spacious and bright, with golden globes adorning the window sills, and a huge keel placed in the middle of the room.

The students came to the classroom one after another, and some of them wanted to ask Peter to sign for them.

Peter politely declined their request, it was not appropriate to sign in class.

Harry, Ron and Hermione came too.

They greeted Peter eagerly and took their seats at the front of the room.

Excited, Harry and Ron looked up at Peter's face expectantly.

Hermione sat upright, her hands folded, as if she knew the lesson in advance.

After the students arrived, the classroom door opened again.

Sure enough, Dolores Umbridge entered wearing a pink sweater and carrying her notebook.

She was to grade Peter's teaching herself.

She sat in the last row of the classroom, put the notebook on her lap, and was about to start recording.

Peter ignored Umbridge and began lecturing.

"Everyone can put away the textbooks," Peter said, "We don't need textbooks today, I want to teach you some practical skills."

There was a sound of closing a book from the audience.

The students were very excited and looked at Peter intently.

Everyone knows that he is a well-known war hero, which is much better than a teacher like Gilderoy Lockhart who can only play tricks.

"I think you should have learned the skills of wizard duels, but there is no bow and salute on the battlefield, let alone fairness and honor."

"You will die silently at any time, just because you passed by a dark wizard in a deep dark alley."

"Therefore, the real Defense Against the Dark Arts is not memorizing textbooks, but being ready for battle at all times."

There was no sound in the classroom, and the students were all listening intently.

Peter continued: "At this moment, I carry 1582 things that can be useful in combat."

Some students frowned, looking puzzled.

They couldn't see what Peter was wearing.

Harry and Ron looked at Hermione's face trying to find an answer, and Hermione put on the air that everyone was drunk and I was sober.

Peter stepped off the platform and put two stones on the ground.

Then he flicked his wand lightly, and the two stones instantly turned into two huge statues of knights.

The two stone statues are both made of pure white marble, as tall as two adults.

A statue leaned on a long sword with both hands and knelt on one knee.

The other holds a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, in a fighting stance.

They are all wearing armor and armor, majestic.

Before the students came back to their senses, Peter waved his wand again, and the two statues moved.

The Knight of Sword rose solemnly, and the Knight of Sword and Shield struck his shield with his sword.

They began to walk around the classroom, shaking the floor and rattling at the joints of their armor with each step.

The students all stared wide-eyed in amazement, they had never seen such magic.

"Professor Peddie, this is Advanced Transfiguration!" Harry exclaimed.

"Professor, can we really learn this?" Lavender asked. "This looks so difficult."

"Of course," Peter said with a smile, "as long as you're as prepared as I was."

The students looked puzzled, but eager to learn such a powerful magic.

Only Hermione, who had opened a small fire in advance, understood.
