Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Peter

Chapter 32 Professor Peddie's Method

Chapter 32 Professor Peddie's Method
"...It's amazing! Mr. Potter got the golden egg without any injuries in just 30 seconds!" Ludo Bagman shouted excitedly.

Amidst deafening cheers, Harry walked off the field with the golden egg in his arms, as Peter and Sirius hurried to meet him at the entrance.

With a big smile on his face, Sirius pulled Harry into his arms.

He was more than happy that the dark magic attack he had feared most hadn't happened.

Sirius let go of Harry, and put his hands on Harry's shoulders, "When did you learn the clone magic? I've never seen such ingenious magic!" He said loudly with joy.

Harry shook his head slightly, looking a little confused.

"Actually, I don't know what that is..." Harry said hesitantly.

Sirius turned quickly to Peter—and sure enough, Peter had an enigmatic smile on his face.

He slapped Peter with a big laugh. "Frankly, Wormtail, what did you do?"

"During the competition just now, I conjured up a copy of Harry." Peter said lightly.

"Replica Harry?" said Sirius. "Is that an apparition?"

"No, it's an entity," said Peter. "I let Harry move around in the magical space these days, and imprinted him whole."

"Professor, it turns out that you let me continue to practice just to imprint me..." Harry seemed a little depressed.

"No, Harry, you've misunderstood," said Peter, laughing. "If it's Mr. Filch I'm imprinting, we'll just have to count on him to blow that Hungarian Horntail away with his broom."

Seeing that Harry and Sirius hadn't fully understood, Peter went on to explain:
"In other words, your duplication is the same as your own ability. If you haven't mastered the Eye Sickness Curse and the Multiple Stunning Curse, then your duplication is also impossible."

As he spoke, he patted Harry on the shoulder encouragingly, "Harry, you have practiced very well, and you can succeed without me."

"All I did was to shorten the game time and reduce the chances of the assailant attacking you, so you can still enjoy the glory with peace of mind."

Harry hugged the golden egg tightly, and the smile returned to his face.

Soon, he was taken to Madam Pomfrey, along with other warriors, to heal his wounds.

But Madam Pomfrey kicked him out after one look at him, and thanks to Professor Peddylo, he didn't have a single scrape on him.

Hermione and Ron found him, and Ron finally apologized to Harry after such a long cold war.

Unexpectedly, Hermione was the most excited among the three, and she couldn't help crying loudly.

"You two are so stupid!" She hugged them and ran away quickly.

Peter and Sirius returned to the ranks of teachers, and Professor McGonagall was talking to Professor Sprout, beaming with excitement.

Dumbledore was talking to the other two Headmasters, and beside them were Mr Crouch and Mr Fudge.

Mr. Crouch's face was not as pale as before, but he still looked serious, showing a kind of over-thinking and haggard, but Mr. Fudge looked cheerful.

"Everyone, our judges have finished scoring! Now announce the scores!" Ludo Bagman shouted happily.

"The first referee was Mrs. Maxim, and she gave Mr. Porter a score of 10!"

"The second is Mr. Crouch. How much will he give Mr. Potter? ——It's also 10 points! No wonder, Mr. Potter's performance is simply breathtaking!"

The audience applauded and applauded amid Bagman's flamboyant commentary.

Beside Peter, Sirius was laughing uncontrollably like a dog.

"Next is Mr. Fudge, he also gave 10 points!"

"Let's see how many points Professor Andonova will give. We can see that she hesitates—oh! 10 points! Still 10 points! Is Mr. Potter going to get an unprecedented full score?"

"The last referee is Professor Dumbledore. As the headmaster of Hogwarts, how many points will he give this Hogwarts warrior? He scored - 9 points."

Ludo Bagman's voice leaked like a leaking cauldron for a moment, and there were sighs of disappointment from the stands.

Harry almost got a perfect score, but in the end he was deducted a point by his principal, which made people feel incomprehensible.

With a smile on his face, Dumbledore winked mischievously in the direction of Peter and Sirius.

It seemed that he knew that it wasn't Harry's "cloning technique" at all, but Peter's off-field assistance.

Peter and Sirius looked at each other, and Sirius' laughter grew louder.

"Okay," Bagman quickly adjusted his tone, not to let himself appear disappointed, "Warriors, please come to the tent, and I will explain about the second match."

The warriors headed for the tent, and the crowd in the stands dispersed.

Sirius also started hurrying towards the tent, waiting to celebrate Harry.

Snape wandered out from the corner and approached Peter.

"What a wonderful cheat, Peddie. Allow me to take back what I said last time at St. Mungo's, that your Transfiguration tricks are more effective than the Dark Arts."

His voice was low, with a look of insight on his face.

"Thank you for the compliment, Severus," Peter said, "Are you going to denounce me?"

"Information?" he said, tucking his left arm into his cloak, "I simply admire your skill in transfiguring a living being, and you are probably the only wizard who can do it— "

He stopped, and it turned out that Sirius, Harry and others came back happily together in the distance.

As soon as he saw Sirius, deep hatred flashed in his eyes, "Black? What is he doing here?"

"He was brought in by Dumbledore to be Hogwarts' security officer, and you know there's an attacker in the school," Peter explained.

"Oh, it's really safe to invite a murderer to the school. He killed me when he was 16 years old. I just hope he doesn't become addicted to killing."

There was strong irony and resentment in Snape's tone, he turned around and walked away after speaking, as if he couldn't bear to be close to Sirius.

Sirius was talking to Harry and the others, not noticing Snape's existence at all.

That night, the Gryffindor common room was very lively, and everyone held a celebration banquet for Harry.

Fred and George used magic to draw some moving pictures in the lounge. Most of them were Harry knocking down dragons, but two paintings showed Cedric with his head on fire.

Besides, there was another banquet waiting for Harry, and Sirius proposed to hold a banquet at his house next weekend to celebrate.

Before going to bed, Harry placed the model of the Hungarian Horntail on the table next to his bed.

Xiaolong yawned, curled up, and closed his eyes.

Harry thought as he drew the curtains:
Dragons are really cute.
